Good start, but needs refining.
I love the material and the brief liner. I wish this was made in a cut similar to the Pool Short, which is discontinued for some reason. The material would benefit from a slit/cut on the outer seam of each leg. The “oversized” styling would benefit from a slightly shorter inseam too, maybe 4.5in, since the fabric feels like it stretches out slightly when wet. The waistband needs redesign. When tying the strings tighter (bc it stretches when wet) the band folds over.

Not stretchy, could benefit from zipper pockets
Not stretchy, which is something I would expect for beach to trail use. For example, high steps would not be good in these. Also, all the pockets should have zippers to have zipped large pockets

Make beach to hike shorts great again
Tried these in store and the lining seemed loose and stitching was loose. Someone else mentioned that these catch lint easily and the fabric seemed like it probably does. The ones from a few years ago were great. Bring those back.
