Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for a while... Purchased these about 15 months ago. Great fabric, awesome feel. Awesome water resistance during rainy runs. Wore them maybe once a week during winter runs or heated yoga and washed as directed w cold water and hang dry. Main complaint is the compression and snugness, especially in the upper thigh/butt area has faded. No longer very supportive, but not totally loosey goosey, if you will. Waistband could also be improved - the one on the Tight Stuff Tight is better/more substantial.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect men’s athletic tight I found it! I’ve been jealous of my wife’s Lululemon yoga pants and tights for years. After chaffing through run after run in scratchy, poor-performing tights by other apparel companies, I nearly swallowed my gender ego and purchased a pair of tights from your women’s line, but the construction of the crotch area in women’s tights just didn’t seem like a good match for my anatomy. Enter the Surge Tight (DWR). I found it! A nearly perfect men’s athletic tight. Now guys can fully reap the benefits of Lululemon technology, and make ladies jealous for a change. I am 6’0 with a slim, athletic build. I found the medium size was a perfect length and fit. The tights are modest enough to wear by themselves for all athletic activities—meaning no shorts on top. However, I would feel a bit self-conscious wearing them to a post-workout brunch with friends or to walk my kid to school—for that I would put a pair of something like the liner-less T.H.E. Shorts on top to cover up. I wear these tights for outside runs in Minnesota fall and spring temps. I suspect that in areas without Arctic extremes, these tights will get you through the winter, too. (In Minnesota, I have to switch over to Nordic ski gear for outdoor running in the extreme cold, but I can still use these tights as a base layer.) I also wear the Surge Tights (DWR) for yoga, strength training and spin/biking. To prevent chaffing on runs, and for added privacy in a yoga class, I wear a pair of Lululemon’s Game On Boxer Brief underneath the tights. The combo works well for me. When wearing briefs underneath, the hemline does show just a little bit, but it almost looks like it’s just part of the tights’ design. Other guys may care more about the aesthetic than I do, so I only share this for informational purposes to other buyers, not as a critique. You could go commando under the tights, if that suits you better, but I am not sure I would run a marathon without some kind of added lining. I really appreciate the zippered, back pocket. I don’t carry my phone with me for running or athletic activities, so the back pocket is plenty large for any necessities--ID, some cash, car key or sports beans—depending on the run or situation. I wish the tights had had a small key pocket in the waistband, either on the side or in the front. That would be a great place to stash a few sports beans for distance races so that I could secure other things in the zippered, back pocket. I don't make much use of the side pockets, but they don't seem to impede movement or reduce comfort. I also appreciate what the Surge Tight DWR lack. Thanks Lululemon for not having zippered leg openings—leg zippers just tear up your skin on long runs or when rolling around on the mat. I also like that the reflective details were minimal on this tight. I can wear a reflective vest or jacket in low-light situations, which is a much safer option than relying on obnoxious, reflective stripping on leggings. I would purchase additional pairs if they were available in more lengths (7/8, 3/4 & half) and color options (dark navy, charcoal, black currant, black grape, dark olive, etc.)—anything in a non-patterned, darker shade should help disguise the bulge. Lastly, I will keep a close eye on the stitching. It looks OK after several weeks of heavy use, but I see a seam or two that could potentially begin to fray a tiny bit. I worry a bit that these tights may not hold up like my other Lululemon products. Please continue to emphasis quality and durability in your manufacturing process--that's why I chose your brand and I’m willing to pay high prices for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best compression leggings My Surge Tights are my favorite and most comfortable leggings. I wear them on long distance flights because they keep me cool. I wish there were alternate colors to choose from - black may be beautiful but it gets boring after a while. I have the map design of the Tight Stuff and it looks great. My only problem has been a couple of fraying seams that were easy to fix with a few stitches but that appears to be a recurring theme in some comments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great leggings but one issue.... I love these leggings and think they are perfect for when I train legs. The only issue is that I have worn them 3 times and the stitching on the upper left seam on the back is coming apart. These are by far one of the best feeling leggings I own but the stitching is a issue as I have Under armor that are over a year old with man workouts and the stitching i no issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Compression Pants You Will Ever Buy Hands down best compression pants I own. I bought quite a bit of nike and underarmor compression pants and, they are not even on the same level as the Surge Tights. I have these in black and the blue colour. they are awesome, material feels great with no restriction at all. The only thing I do not like is the price, it is hard for me to spend $120 for one pant, but it is worth it. Especially if they are on sale I would highly recommend buying if you want compression pants. I am 5' 8 145lbs and bought a small and medium, but I like the small fit better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tights I've had these tights now for well over a year and I love them. They fit great and I've never had any issues with stitching or with the colour fading. I just wish lulu would listen to the public and make these in more colours/patterns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Running Tights I bought these when they were available in indochine blue to have something different than my plain black tights for the winter. I am 6'0" and the medium was perfect in length and provided more compression than other tights I own. The hip pockets are out of the way and are large enough to fit a cell phone/keys. I don't carry much with me when I run, so I think the pocket on the back is unnecessary. It is great that there are no zippers on the ankles, as these can be irritating on long runs. There is a liner sewn in the front, however the material is pretty thin, so plan on wearing something underneath. I pair these with the Lock 'Em Down Trunks, but this creates visible lines from the seams - it would be great if Lululemon introduced underwear that wouldn't show lines when worn with tights. Hopefully Lululemon introduces more colors for these tights. Overall, a Great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They look amazing, but mine were damaged easily I bought these leggings less than a week ago and regretted waiting so long to purchase them! I would easily recommend these leggings to anyone, which I already have been doing. However, my biggest concern is the longevity of the pants. After 2 days of wearing them, the seam has already begun to rip. It's about a 2cm rip along the external seem, mid quad area. I'm really disappointed in this because the leggings cost more than most leggings for my purposes such as Virus/2xu/Skins.
