Terrible
I've been a long-time customer at lulu. I have dozens of tops, capris, pants, socks, etc. I purchased the Align mat ($28) for my yoga classes, and I absolutely hate it. My $10 mats from Walmart and Costco are notably better. It is the worst mat I have ever used, and I can't even do downward dog for more than 5 seconds without sliding all over the place.
I love lulu's other products, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MAT. You will regret it. I wish I read the reviews before I bought this :( Just purchase a cheaper mat somewhere else.

Surprised
Im so surprised by all the negative reviews for this mat.
I was just telling my boyfriend yesterday that it was time for a new one but I plan on getting the same one, as this is the best value in a mat.
I have had mine for about 3 years now and I went online to check to see if it was going to be the same price I bought it at 3 years ago. 3 years is a long go in my opinion and its only recently started to show damage, and I have to blame my feet for that one. I slip a little in downward dog, but not enough to even really complain about it.
I appreciate the lines for good alignment in poses and its so lightweight when I have it on my back during my bikerides or walks to class/work.
Cant wait to see what colours they will have when I go to pick out my new one :D

Disappointing
I'm sad to echo several of the other reviews here but this mat has been a huge disappointment. I've used this mat for over a month and regardless of the yoga class and temperature, I can't get into any pose without my hands immediately slipping or sliding. It's so slippery that I spend the majority of classes trying not to slide off my mat instead of focusing on form, breath, etc. Unfortunately I'm again shopping for a new mat.

So Unfortunate
I attend Yoga classes every evening (Hatha, Yin, Hot, Flow..). I was using a mat I bought for $16 from Winners and decided it was time to buy myself a new mat. I purchased this mat due to the price and the review I was given by one of the Lulu Reps.
Unfortunately during my Hatha class (the 1st class I attended using this mat) I kept slipping, sliding and everything in between. It was brutal! Warrior two was impossible to do on this mat!
After that one class, I noticed white marks on my mat. I tried rubbing these marks off and they seem to have lightened except they are still quite visible.
I also noticed a small indentation on the mat as well. I sprayed this portion of the mat with a bit of water and it is not as visible now however it looks like it's there to stay. I'm hoping this will disappear after a couple of weeks of use.
What I like very much about the mat is the fact that it is light weight and when rolled up, quite compact. I'm one of those Yogi's who don't carry a special bag for their mats so this helps very much when holding a load of groceries and my purse.
When I used this mat during Hot, I found that having a towel on top of it helped a lot. Not much slipping in comparison to practicing on it without a towel.
As of right now, I am using my old mat for my non-Hot classes and using my Align mat for my Hot classes. I'm a little upset because I paid my hard earned money for this mat thinking it would replace my old mat. Well, on the bright side at least I'm using it for one of my classes?
I will be purchasing The Mat eventually. Just going to do a bit of research before I decide to take the plunge :)

HAVE GONE THROUGH TWO
I have gone through two of these mats, in an incredibly short period of time. Both have been returned for two separate defective reasons. Do not purchase!

Perfect for Bikram
I bought the Ambassor mat specifically for Bikram yoga, to replace my cheap & falling-apart old mat.
For the price, I am really impressed: it's attractive, lightweight, has good cushioning and most importantly, it doesn't slip about [but I always use a towel on top anyways]. I read the reviews here before purchasing and was baffled by the difference in people's opinions: "It's great!", versus "It's horrible and slippery, don't purchase!". Well, for Bikram it's great. I can't say for regular yoga sans a towel.
It seems to be excellent quality, I'm happy :)

Slippery even in a cool room
Difficult to make it through a simple vinyassa class with this mat-- hands and feet were slipping and sliding in at least 50% of the positions. I had a cheap yoga mat i got at Marshalls that is much better than this one. I love lululemon products and typically have good things to say but this mat is a complete miss.
I got the mat because I loved the idea of having the alignment mapped out so I can actively correct my form throughout practice. At this rate i may take a permanent marker to my old yoga mat.
I know buying a towel is a simple solution- but I really don't feel like carrying that around, plus the lines wouldn't be visible.
I've tried a class three times with this mat thinking I just needed to get used to it, but i think I'm done trying to make it work.
I was also under the impression these products are made based on ambassador feedback with yoga users in mind. What happened here?

Beautiful color and excellent quality mat
I have been using a rose quartz Align Ultra Mat every day since I purchased it online a month ago.
I used to use my older mats double layered but still felt pain on my knees when putting down my knees on the mats. Although a single Align Ultra Mat is much lighter and thinner than my old double layered mats, it protects my knees very well and I feel no pain.
I love the color of rose quartz so much that I bought a bliss bag in the same color to match.

Great Mat
I bought this mat because I wanted an upgrade from my Target mat that was falling apart. I did not want to spend a lot of money--I practice yoga, but not religiously (just whenever my schedule allows for me to attend a class). I love how lightweight this mat is, plus it comes in so many fun colors that the other mats do not. I bought it in the mint color (navy on the other side). I used it for hot yoga today and it did not slip or slide at all. Given, I had a towel on top of it, but it still stayed firm on the ground. Overall this is a great mat for the price!

favorite mat
I first bought this mat for a pilates class I was required to take at school. I liked that it was a little bit thicker than the drug store yoga mat I have been using but still lightweight enough to carry around all day at school
Since then I have started doing yoga daily and am grateful for purchasing this mat. As a beginner the lines on the mat are incredibly helpful to figure out my positioning. I have never used this mat in a hot yoga class, but never have problems slipping with a little bit of sweat. I have a lot of wrist problems but find that the thickness of this mat help alleviate the pain I used to have while doing yoga.
Overall I think it's a great mat, I am planning on purchasing another one because I love the new colors.
