excitement, followed by disappointment I'm usually not a fan of running shorts, and I LOVE THE BREEZE BY SKIRT, but I was really looking forward to these shorts. My excitement was followed by disappointed. Before my run even started the liner shorts were as high as they could possibly get. I don't have huge thighs, but they are no sticks. I have no problem with the Breeze By Skirt in regards to sizing and the liner. Not sure why I have problems here. There is also so much fabric on the butt of these shorts, not like the photo, and it just sags weird. Every time I try to wear them for a run I just take them off and put on my skirt. I'll probably wear them when I'm on the water, or gardening, but not for running. Lulu I love you, these just didn't work for me. May 14, 2013
no bueno I bought these from the WMTM section thinking that they would be good summer run shorts. I like the idea of them- with the spandex shorts as a liner instead of the weird underwear style briefs which remind me of HS track shorts- and they look alright on......until I started running. The liner pinched and managed to ride up on my run, and the outer brief rode up as well. I feel like I'm going to forever have to wear running crops because I have thighs that *gasp* touch. Why doesn't everyone have these shorts? I love these shorts! I bought these shorts 2 weeks ago and I am 13 years old and I am in track. I wear these 3 days a week and run in them for about 2 hours during those three days. they do not ride up at all and they aren't to short for my dress code! April 20, 2013
I purchased these shorts in a size 8 because they were on sale and after reading the reviews, they seemed like a great pair of shorts that don't ride up or feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately, they do ride up on me. I thought the spandex and cut of the fabric between the legs would surely stay put, but not on me. I do own the "run: speed shorts" and they don't ride up on me so it could just be the design that doesn't fit well on my figure. Nevertheless, I will still wear them but I will stay away from this type of design in the future. April 7, 2013
Excellent running shorts! These are just wonderful! Long enough!!!! I can actually go to the store in them after my run without thinking I would get arressted....that's always a challenge for me with Lululemon! Wish I could get one in every color! March 27, 2013
Covers the CrossFit Booty I would give these shorts 5 stars, but I took away one because the liner was a little tight around my thighs (I have extremely thick quads, so this may not be true for everyone!) The best part of these shorts is that they stay put during workouts and, no matter the position, I never worry about my butt (crack or cheeks) being exposed and they don't ride up. I loved the first pair I bought so much that I went ahead and ordered another :) March 24, 2013
Super Cute and Totally Flattering I have two pairs of these and I think they are just great. The yellow are very nice colour, my favourite. Really comfortable, the band on the shorts does not chafe whatsoever. They make a pair of muscular quads look amazing, I like how you can roll the waistband down for a whole new look also. These are a must buy. March 22, 2013
"life changing shorts" These shorts are appalling. What's the point of this "naked seam technology" (which I didn't notice was a feature until I had already purchased these from WMTM) ? seriously: the seams are "naked" except for the incredibly prominent stitching in high-chafe areas. (Where the "naked seams" meet, it's been hand-stitched with what looks and feels like thick black dental floss, except much rougher.) And I'm a size 2 ? 115#, 5'6". My thighs don't rub together. Heaven forbid these shorts for ladies whose thighs do. Other things: the outer shorts are totally 90s-style running shorts, with the poof and all. Not particularly flattering. I should have saved my pennies for a new pair of Groovy Run shorts. But given that I just found out that I've been flashing people in my crops, I'm saving my pennies for another brand of running shorts. Yup, these shorts have changed my life. While my purchasing from LLL has decreased incredibly in the past year, and I basically only purchase with gift cards I've received from returning defective or failing products, I'm really sick of this. Favourite Shorts These just arrived at my house and I love them. Reviews weren't very positive and I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I ordered these but I'm certainly glad I did. I'm 115lbs, 5'4 and ordered a 2 which fit great. The outer layer isn't fitted but I never expected it to be, it gives room to move around. The liner is great, not too tight and it moves with you instead of having a mind of its own, it stays perfectly in place. They may not be the most flattering due to how loose the outer layer is but they're really cute and I don't really consider the gym to be a fashion show so they are perfect in my opinion. Shorts are OK, not as comfortable as I had hoped I had my eye on these shorts for quite some time; however, I was unwilling to pay $68. Once they went on WMTM, I quickly purchased the polar haze/mint combo. Shorts are OK but not as comfortable as I had hoped for. I am 5'2", 115 lbs and wear a 6 in bottoms. I ordered my regular size and I think the waist is the tiniest bit loose and the legs of the liner are a little tight. The outer fabric is quite loose and doesn't have the most flattering look along the backside but that's not terribly important to me. I wish the leg liner extended out a little longer. I have worn them for a 5 mile run, a cycle workout, and some calisthenics. The liner does creep up on me a little but again that may be because they are a little tight on my legs. To be fair, I carry my weight in the middle so if your legs are more toned, you should be fine. I was worried about the Nakedseam during my run because the liner is shorter than I expected. Luckily, no chafing on that 5 mile run. There is only one small pocket so these may not be the best shorts for long runs anyway. The outer fabric is extremely light and thin, I liked that. However, note that they show sweat easily. Plenty of things that could be better about these shorts; a few things I liked. I bought these for running but will likely end up wearing them more for cross-training and such. I went ahead and ordered the Spring has Sprung and Burning Yellow color. (Finally, a burning yellow bottom that was not see-through due to the liner.) I recommend these for exercises, not running. And if you're pear shape, know that the inner liner might be tight.
