Fashion, not function
I love the look and fit of this tank and, in the dressing room, it seemed perfect. But in practice the neck strap causes strain to the neck and upper traps, very uncomfortable. It encourages the head to jut forward into kyphosis and, from the point of view of a teacher, I would not recommend this tank to my students to practice in.
Cute for a summer afternoon, but in a practice where we look to bring balance, space, and ease into the body (especially the neck and shoulders!) this tank is not appropriate.
Clearly designed with fashion, as opposed to function, in mind.

really pretty
I'd give this 5 stars, except that it's not suitable for more 'vigorous' styles of yoga. I almost had a wardrobe malfunction, and I'm an A cup.
Great to wear out with regular shorts though.

very cute and hurt my neck
I bought this because it looked great - but after 30 minutes it hurt my neck :(. I am fairly busty maybe that is why, it might be ok for others. I also found the light luon was nice and soft but it stretched out a bit too much while wearing. Other wise the style was adorable. I will be giving this to my sister and hope she has better luck/comfort with it.
I recommend wearing it around the house for a little while before taking off the tags and making sure it doesnt pull on your neck.

Amazing top!
I recommend this top so much! I purchased the black in my normal size, a 6. (I am 6" 145lbs 32D). Lululemon gods please make this top in some other colors (soot grey)! I plan on using this top for gym workouts and as a casual top since the support offered by the built in bra is not high enough for running.

All thrills, no spills!
Was a bit anxious about wearing this to a Vinyasa class with twists, inversions, D-ward dogs - rolling into an upward dog and suddenly discovering a bit more skin was "liberated" than intended - you get the picture!!
But it looks awesome even on a relatively small (32C) chest, back and shoulders look great in this top - and I'll wear it anywhere, Yoga, pump class, cycling, cafe, bars, nightclubs, work - really only need this one top (except maybe for running).
I'll test it for stair climbing today.

I know I don't sweat that much..
Once again, made the mistake of buying a lighter colored tank! This top is amazinnnng the cut, the fit, everything. But for some reason, the fabric has started to turn brown. Gross right? I've worn this top maybe 6 times to hot yoga, followed through with washing instructions blah blah, and it doesn't come clean. The area around the cup is stained a light brown and won't go away. I almost looks like the inserts stained the top when i sweated in it. why have inserts if they just ruin the fabric? Im not wearing anything on my skin or anything. I've had this problem last year when I bought a lighter colored top but figured I'd be okay with this one. Nope, sadly disappointed. What can I do? I reaaaalllly love this top.

Super flattering top
The halter cut of the Liberate Tank is super flattering and comfortable. It highlights broad muscular shoulders and arms as well as nice cleavage without revealing too much. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear one (I have them in all 4 colors and even got a couple in a larger size to wear as a casual top with jeans/shorts).

Overall good, but...
...where are the inserts?! I ordered my Liberate in Black and it arrived very fast (so that was awesome) and of course I instantly tried it on ;) Immediately my enthusiasm was deflated because the inserts were MIA and my tiny 32B chest was not very flattered on it's own in this tank.
Fortunately I had also ordered some sports bras and swapped the inserts out just to see if they would make a difference in the overall look and feel of my new Liberate... and they did! The inserts made a huge difference and I love the tank, if fits wonderfully now. My back feels very free and open since there are no straps, this will be a comfortable top for working out with my cardio, resistance training and yoga.
I must agree with other Reviewers in that there NEED to be more color options on this tank without them being sheer (perhaps to compliment the upcoming Summer jewel colors?!). The only thing that was truly a dislike for me was the extreme tightness of the inner bra shelf band, I'm guessing this is just because the elastic is brand new and needs some "breaking in", but I ordered this in a 4 and I've got a 28" ribcage... hopefully it will relax with some wear.

LOVE IT! Want more please Lulu!
I've been looking for a backless halter to play tennis to avoid tan lines and came across this cute top. Put it on and LOVED it so I bought ever color they had in my size! I must say I'm not a gal that needs a lot of support because the girls are only 34A-B so the halter was VERY comfy and I played 3 hours of tennis yesterday in it and felt great. I will wear this top for CrossFit and will feel fine about HSPUs and kipping on the pull up bar without any exposure or movement. I think its perfect and want more colors please Lululemon! Don't change a thing!
I'm 5'9'' 140lbs, fit and lean.

light colors need thicker fabric
I recently bought this top online then quickly returned it. I got the pop orange color and the fit is super cute but you better not have ANY flaws or everyone will know. This top is very unforgiving. I have two small children which does things to your body so not everything is as tight as it should be or once was. (workin on it) I'm 5'5" and 145lbs and a 34D. I wear a 6 in most Lulu tops and that fit pretty well. I would not be running in this or doing Crossfit but yoga and low impact would be fine. The material was so light that you could see every stretchmark and imperfection. So if you are of a special bred and have no imperfections, this is the top for you. I may buy the black one to see if I have the same problem, but haven't decided yet.
