Ebb & Flow Racerback Bra

why we made this

When we're pulling out all stops to get sweaty once a day, we want our sports bra to be so comfy we forget it's even there. We designed this soft racerback bra with our seamless technology to fit like a second-skin. It's anti-stink properties keep it smelling fresh post-wash, even after we forget to take it out of our gym bag (one too many times).

key features

  • the seamless design has a second-skin fit making it easy to move and layer
  • anti-stink fibres are woven in so your gear will smell fresh post-wash
  • wide band won't dig in
  • racerback cut allows for total freedom of movement
  • body mapped with mesh in high sweat areas

tech specs

  • designed for: yoga, gym, run - everything!
  • fabric(s): Seamless, X-STATIC® - The Silver Fiber®
  • properties: four-way stretch, moisture wicking, chafe resistant, anti-stink, breathable
  • support level: low
  • coverage: medium

Ebb & Flow Racerback Bra 3.8 5 17 17
Almost Perfect I thought I had found the perfect bra, even better than the Free To Be Bra. I love the quality, colours, support, look and feel of the fabric and the elastic around the ribs was supportive without feeling like it was suffocating me (unlike the All Sport Bra, Energy Bra and Pace Bra, all 3 were too restrictive around my ribs). I wore this Ebb and Flow Bra casually and even did Yoga with it. It felt supportive and provided reasonable coverage because of design and thicker fabric (compared to Free To Be). However when I went running with it, it started to bother me at the back of my neck. I had ordered a couple more online since I was loving it wearing it casually but they went back to the store when they arrived. I was heart broken and they don't carry this in the store here. But I could not justify keeping them, the sole reason being that this bra rides up too high at the back of the neck and hurts it. Otherwise this would have been the perfect bra and I would have bought several in the same colours as well as different colours. Perhaps Lulu can modify this ride-up-too-high-on-the-neck aspect and we can have a revised version soon and in more colours! Thank you. May 19, 2013
The only bra I want to run in. I've tried several styles of Lululemon bras over the years and this is by far my favorite for running. I often fall between sizes... size 4 bras offer good support, but the bottom band is usually too tight. Size 6 is more comfortable, but often too loose for running. The seamless construction of this bra is so much more forgiving. I ordered size 4 and it fits perfectly. Last weekend I wore it on a 10 hour trail run and it was super comfortable. The only time I have noticed any neck discomfort as described by other reviewers was when I wore it sitting at a desk all day. No big deal since I prefer to wear Free to Be bras for everyday activities and yoga. Please continue to make this one! April 16, 2013
My neck hurts! I love and live in lululemon clothing. However this sports bra hurts my neck, pulls in the wrong way, is so uncomfortable to wear. The sizing is correct, just a horrible fit. I would not recommend. April 15, 2013
Uncomfortable neck I was SO excited to see another racerback bra offered from lulu that I bought 2 different colours online. I love the material but after about an hour or so of wear the racerback starts to HURT. The top of the racerback goes up too high and digs into the back of the neck and has to be continuously pulled down to keep comfortable. It is disappointing because lulu wear is such a financial investment. I will still choose to shop lulu but i would not recommend this bra. March 28, 2013
Such a great bra! I was looking for another comfy sports bra with just a little bit more coverage that I could wear for yoga AND run. I love my Free to Be, but it's too low for running. I got this at the store in inkwell and black in my normal size 6 and I love it. It's true that the back digs in a little bit, but it isn't enough to bother me. I did yoga late last night in it then slept in it and woke up and went to a ballet class (I know, gross, I was feeling lazy) and my neck felt fine. It's very stretchy and soft and gives me a nice medium amount of support and coverage. March 20, 2013
Digs into your neck I am disappointed that this bra digs into the back of your neck so bad after wearing it for about an hour. I had quite the red marks!! So sad that it can't be returned. I love the color and the material, its nice and stretchy. Oh, and the hole where the bra cups go are super small, what's with that? Can hardly shove one through. :S Overall I all, I am super sad this doesn't really work and I cannot take it back. March 17, 2013
So close, but OWww my neck! This bra mostly comfortable and flattering, but the straps should meet more between the shoulder blades rather than at the back of the neck. After 15 minutes, it feels like one of those cheap tie-up bikini tops or a little kids backpack where the straps are sewn right together at the top. You can readjust it, and the bottom band stays in place, but it still cuts into the neck again pretty quickly. I'm a small B cup, so it's not as if there is a lot of weight pulling it down - in fact I wear those cheap string bikini tops and they hurt less than this! If the back of this bra was more like the CRB it would be a win. Wish I had listened to the other reviews :( March 15, 2013
Really is comfortable! I was at my local LLL this evening and decided to give this bra a try. I am about 160lbs, 5'5" and a very-not-perky 36C. I carry most of my weigh below the waist and usually take a size 8 in LLL tanks. I tried an 8 in this bra and as other reviewers have commented, it was rediculously comfortable. The fabric is soft, I can't imagine it would chafe at all. The material is VERY stretchy and moves with you extremely well. The wide band at the bottom was really nice, it didn't feel like it was going to roll with extended wear. I usually curse and complain that LLL bras and tanks don't offer enough coverage for me to be able to get into inversions without flopping out the top. This bra has the coverage that I like. Unfortunately, this bra did not pass the jump test... My girls were flopping around too much for what I was hoping I would be able to use this bra for. I attribute this to the extreme stretchiness of this fabric. Note that the description of this item flat out states that this is a low-support bra however, so I can't really hold this against the design. My big issue was that following the jump test I found that I could feel the strap sitting on the back of my neck. I'm pretty sure that with extended wear I would have found this uncomfortable (at the very least annoying). Also note that this style will not "lift and separate", it's simply a shelf bra that the removable cups give some shape to. Despite the neck strap issue, I'm still giving this bra 4 stars as it trully is what it is described as - a soft, stretchy, super comfortable low support bra that won't stink after prolonged wear. My new favourite This is my first Ebb & Flow bra and I love it! I ordered it online in the green and I am so pleased with the colour. I was worried at first about the size because it looked very small in the packaging, but it stretches so much so it wasn't an issue. I am a 34 A and I ordered the size 4. I love the Flow Y bras normally, but this may be my new favourite. The thick band at the bottom is so comfy and doesn't dig into your ribcage...I could definitely wear this 24/7!! Thanks lulu for another amazing bra! Make it in MORE colours!! I would buy them all :) March 12, 2013
Awesome ! This bra is super comfortable. I am a 34 C and I don't plan to wear it for workouts just lounging. I wore it all last weekend and loved it. I will be puchasing a few more. I hope green gets restocked ! March 12, 2013
