Disappointing!
These were a major disappointment, particularly given how stellar the older version of the "Method" socks used to be (I still have several pairs of them and will wear them until they all fall apart!). The plastic dots on the new version are a joke, with almost no gripping ability. I have used these (the full sock version) for pilates, and was in fear for my safety.

CUTE LOOKING BUT NON FUNCTIONAL
I needed method socks in a bind on my way to Barre class and although I read the reviews on these socks and how bad they were, I still ran in Lulu around the corner from my house and bought a pair of blue ones.
They are comfy, they're cute and they're the worst Barre socks you could ever imagine.
The grips are a joke- you can buy fuzzy socks at walmart with better grips. By the end of class I took them off because I was sliding everywhere and the grips peeled off before I got home in several spots!!
They're cute to wear around the house and that's about it. Very disappointed and hoping they rework these and come out with a better version asap!

I should have read the reviews!
I can not believe a company this good made a grip sock that has zero grip, what were they thinking?? Did they test them before selling them? I wore them in a barre class and practically injured myself from sliding so be careful if you decide to wear them anyway, the sock IS really cute:) Interesting that they sell a worthless product that is non refundable-- great customer service.

the worst item ever
I got these with high hopes. I loved the look and style. I do barre and pilates several times each week at the gym and practice at home too. I wear socks every time. I could not wait to get these. They are the worst ever. They are so thin I feel like they were going to tear just gently trying to cut off the tags. I tried to keep an open mind but when I put them on they were totally useless. They slid and rotated around my foot and the little dots provided zero traction/stickiness. They all look like they will just peel off. I really don't even think they are worth even wearing to sit around and watch tv. I was highly disappointed since these were sold as socks for the purpose of barre class.

What a waste!!
The socks were packaged with the soles facing each other and they were so tightly packaged you couldn't really get a look at it. If I had I would have known they would be so worthless because when I opened it I realized there were just these little clear flat plastic dots glued to the bottom of the socks just at the ball of the foot.
I was sliding all over the place for my Dailey Method class. It was so worthless I had to go out and put on different socks. It was borderline dangerous because I was sliding around so much.
These should be pulled from the shelves. They are really THAT bad.

Save your money and DO NOT buy these socks!
While the socks are incredibly adorable, they are completely impractical if you actually care about getting a good work out. The limited grips on the socks are misplaced (in the center of foot) and do not provide any grip during practice. You would be safer not wearing socks than wearing these socks which could actually cause injury if you were to slip. I have bought a lot of method socks from other companies and had higher expectations for a lululemon product. I recommend passing on purchasing these socks and look into other barre socks that actually work for ballet-barre classes. Overall, this purchase was a waste of money and a big disappointment in a lululemon product.

Save your money!
To echo other reviews, the silicone dots on these socks are completely useless and do not provide the grip you need in barre class. The placement is incorrect - I wear size 7 and the dots fall in the arch of my foot vs the ball. And the dots are not sticky at all!
I regret not reading the online reviews before purchasing in store - I was slipping all over the place in class. I feel I was misled by the product description as it's obvious these socks were not tested in a real barre class. You will risk injury if you purchase these socks. So disappointing!!

Waste of money
Not only do these socks not have enough grip to hold you in a proper 2nd position plie, the small amount grips they did apply, 2 fell off during my first class wearing them.
I ended up taking them off and going barefoot in class because my instructor was concerned for my safety with the lack of grip.

no grip for the grippy socks
I agree with previous reviewers. These socks are super cute, but are far from grippy. These socks are more like a slip and slide on the carpet in barre class. Since I paid for them and they're cute, I still wear them, but as my backup socks - the ones I leave in the car in case - my just in case socks.

Beware of one size fits all
I purchased this sock online, thinking it would be great for yoga and Dailey Method classes. The sizing said O/S and I have 9.5 feet, which I think is pretty standard. The socks arrived saying W 6-9, which is not one size fits all. The socks will do just fine, but my feet definitely stretch them out a lot. Hopefully they won't wear out quickly because of that.
