why we made this

We made this running skirt to complement our long strides. We included built-in shorts so we stay confident no matter how large our leaps. The shorts have sticky elastic on the hem so they stay put when pick up the pace.

LOVE THE RUFFLES... This is the cutest skirt - the ruffles bounce and I feel like they actually give me more energy when I start to get tired in my workouts! The only complaint I have is the zipper handle hits right on my pelvis bones so I have to keep it half zipped if I am going to lay on my back and stretch...it is just to big for the shorts. Great skirt but not for long runs I bought this skirt in hot pink and ran in it this morning. The color is so cute and bright and the ruffles are adorable and very flattering. I really like the skirt, the only drawback is that the seams in the undershorts caused some chafing on my inner things. I have big, muscular thighs so I often have problems with chafing and it wasn't too terrible, but I will not be wearing this skirt for a run any longer than 6 miles. I might try the "tall" skirt next time. I'm only 5'3", but the regular is a little shorter than what I usually wear. May 11, 2013
Simply love this skirt! This skirt is my favorite piece of running gear. It fits like shorts but the skirt just makes it fun. I have quite a few of these including the white, black, and several of the patterns and always get compliments on it. I have run a 5K to a half marathon in these skirts and have never had a problem with anyone of them. The legs under the skirt stay in place, but don't bind or ride up. The skirt is adjustable for a looser or tighter fit around the waist. And I love the wider waist band...it just sits nicely at the waist without being too low. There is a small pocket in back. It holds an ipod nano perfectly, but that's about it. I am about 5'6 and 130 pounds and the 4 is a good fit for me. I generally get the regular length, but can wear the tall without it being too long. May 11, 2013
Please redesign the gel pockets I own several pace setters but this is the first time I've worn it for a marathon and used the gel pockets. The skirt itself is very comfortable, but the gel pockets are FAR too shallow and the average sized gel packet needs to be folded in half to fit inside. The top of the gel still peeked over the top of the pocket and I ended up with 2 raw spots on my stomach from the packet. PLEASE make the pockets bigger and deeper! May 5, 2013
just too cute! I have a couple of pairs of these, and have tiny short legs, so I dont find the length to be a prohibitive factor. This skirt is really adorable, comfortable to run in, and SO flattering (but I have little hips, so I dont know how this looks on a pear-shaped someone) - I wore the inkwell/stripe with a pair of sandals to cocktail party after a 5 mile run. not only does it perform well, I find it to be tremendously more flattering on me than shorts. the only thing I dont love are the sticky band around the bottom of the shorts. I have athletic thighs, and the shorts length awkwardly hit at a weird section of my leg - the stickyness makes them a little uncomfortable when I'm lounging around in them, but I dont notice much when I'm running in it. Great for tennis, too! Love the side pocket for the ball and the shorts don't ride up. I didn't have to wear compression shorts underneath because of that. Very comfortable and stylish. The ruffles make it look so feminine and young. May 3, 2013
Great skirt!! I love these skirts!! I have a few in the regular length and some in the tall length. I am 5'5 and right now 150lbs and the size 6 fits great and I am 43 years old. I run a couple times a week and love these skirts. The tall length is just a little bit longer than the regular and looks great too, depends on how I am feeling as to which one I put on :) May 2, 2013
Amazing skirt! I have the floral pattern skirt and I love love love it. I was skeptical about buying this skit because of the ruffles on the back side. I was worried how it would look and fit. When this pattern was released I decided to give it a try. I am glad that I did. It is very flattering and kept it place nicely. I wore it for my 1/2 marathon over the weekend and got a ton of compliments. No chaffing and no riding up or sliding down or anything. The shorts below stayed in place and the zipper pocket in the back held my key perfectly. May 1, 2013
Summer Loving... I love the femininity yet the functionality of this skirt. It is perfect to run in! The compression shorts underneath are a perfect fit as they don't cause chaffing and are not too tight. I got my usual size 6 and it fits tts on me. I love the drawstring waist since my waist is smaller than my lower half so the adjustable draw string makes it fit perfectly. It is very flattering and I get tons of compliments on it. Adorable and functional. I got this in pinkalicious (hot pink) and it is so cute. I love the ruffles on the back, as they look cute and make the skirt easy to move in. What I really enjoy about this skirt is that I feel a little more covered up than when I wear my speed shorts, but the skirt is equally lightweight and breezy. I'd say this is a little big, but I still went with my TTS. I could have probably gotten away with sizing down, but chose not to because I could always tie the waist in if I felt so inclined.
