why we made this

We designed these lightweight run shorts out of inherently-wicking Swift material that has two-way stretch to keep up with our stride. To help them stay put on our bums during long runs (and short runs too), we gave them a built-in, quick-drying liner that moves with us. The continuous drawcord lets us adjust the fit to sit just right on our hips.

Please bring these back!!! These are absolutely the BEST shorts! I am in my mid 40's with muscular legs and these are the perfect length. I try-on the other styles and none look or fit as well as these. I hope that you will bring them back soon.......I am getting desperate!! June 12, 2013
Please bring these back!! :( I'm a short girl, about 5'0" and 115 lbs. Because I have a huge butt and ginormous thighs, the coverage of these shorts are absolutely perfect (the speed shorts show my butt cheeks, not cool LOL). The turbo run shorts are very comfortable and flattering. I refuse to wear any other pair of shorts! Unfortunately, I've put on a bit of weight since a year ago when I purchased these. I wanted to get another pair in a 6, but alas, all sold out everywhere! I tried the groovy shorts recently, and although similar in design, they definitely were not as flattering and I am also not sure of how trusty they would be during a long run. LLL, please oh please bring the turbo run shorts back! :) June 2, 2013
Keep making these! I have 2 pairs and wear them for every run. EVERY RUN, this includes half/full marathon stuff. no chafing, no riding up, no bad stuff ever. I have tried the speed shorts and they are too short, they ride up and chafe. I have tried the groovy shorts, they are too long and uncomfortable. These are so great, and i live in Houston, so my runs end up being 90F and these shorts are the only way to go. For reference, i am 5'6" and 140lbs and wear a size 6 for these. Aaaaamazing shorts! I have been an avid Speed Shorts fan for about two years now with my only gripe about them being that they tend to ride up during longer runs. These shorts are absolutely perfect. Length is excellent, love the Luxtreme and they wick sweat beautifully. Wore them out on a 5k today and they were great! More colours needed for summer :) May 29, 2013
Best shorts, but...move the zipper! Okay, so I have 2 pairs of these shorts and have used them in regular rotation for almost 2 years of crossfit and they are holding up well. They are absolutely amazing, and would buy more, save for the zipper placement. When I do sit-ups, the zipper digs in my tailbone and is usually sore for 3 days after doing situps in a metcon. Other people in my classes say they same thing. I try not to wear them for specific classes when I know there will be situps in the WOD. I would buy more if you moved the zipper pocket to the side or removed the zipper altogether. It's super convenient, just pain-inducing at the place it's at now. May 27, 2013
love turbo run I love these shorts...they are much better than the groove run shorts and the perfect length!! these are perfect for the demands of crossfit...keep me nice and cool. love these shorts! i got these shorts on clearance at a local yoga shop after trying on every kind of lulu short they had in store and these had the most room in the leg and were definitely the most comfortable fabric! i took them for a 5 mile run and they were wonderful! no chafing or anything. please continue to make more colors lulu and don't get rid of them! Favorite shorts ever! I have never found a pair of athletic shorts that are so comfortable and flattering. I wear these to yoga, ultimate frisbee, and for running. They are the perfect length. I bought a pair about a year ago and given how often I wear them, just bought a second pair. My first pair still looks and feels like new. I cannot say enough about these awesome shorts! May 16, 2013
All-time favourite shorts, don't stop making them Perfect fit & length and very comfortable, I've never had a problem with them. I wear these shorts while playing soccer, squash, when I run, or generally at the gym. They are great for all of those things. The back pocket is perfect for my house key, I clip my ipod shuffle to the little pocket at the front when I'm on a run, they're just fantastic and I hope they stick around for a while longer. needed a different size but wasn't available I so wanted to love these shorts. I got them in an 8. I'm right in between an 8 and a 10. 5'4" 155 lbs. They look and feel amazing on, they're just slightly tight across the tops of my thighs. Also the inner brief is snug enough that it leaves a slight panty line. Not a good look. I really wish I could try these on in a 10. I'm pretty sad that they're no longer available. I'm not taking the tags off because I can tell just by wearing them around the house they're going to ride up immediately when I start running. I guess these are going back to the store, if you made more I'd order them a size up just to see if they would work for me. I love the fabric and the feel of these shorts. I think had the fit been just right they would've been a winner. May 11, 2013
