why we made this

We made these shorts to keep us feeling comfortable and cool on training runs and on race day. The lightweight Swift fabric is moisture-wicking and the soft Luxtreme waistband and continuous drawcord ensure a proper fit so we can streak past our personal records. Ándale!

Great shorts! I have a pair of these from years ago, and I got the mint ones on WMTM and I like these better! They are soft and comfy, I took them out of the package and wore them to teach pilates. I LOVE the liner, I will do other classes in these and I could not wear them unless there was something under to make sure I am not flashing the world. The dots are a cute addition without being too much. I got my normal 6 and think it feels perfect, but I don't have too large of a booty. I am curvy but not overly, if you hae junk in the trunk size up. I am 5'4" 130 lbs. May 24, 2013
Dirty Merchandise!!! You guys sent me DIRTY merchandise! Just got my BRAND NEW Zippy Green Rune Speed Shorts in the mail and it looks like someone stepped on them on various sides. Giant stain on it. Unacceptable. I love speed shorts, have about 6 pairs total, just when they are NOT stained. They can be great high quality shorts, just when you guys check your product before sending it out to your loyal customers. These are supposed to be new sent from you to me! May 22, 2013
this review is for the pink shorts I loved my black pair of run speed shorts so much I got the pinkelicious pair. Unfortunately, these feel stiff and tight, now I understand what the fuss is about two vs four way stretch. The first time I washed this item, I hand washed it in cold water by itself. The dark pink on the waistband bled all over the rest of the shorts! I washed it a second time in cold with other lulu items and it ruined a rejuvenate hoodie and tame me tank. I don't know why because my pinkelicious crb tank has been fine. I really hope lululemon makes more 4 way stretch speed shorts because I do like the style and length. Just be cautious when purchasing the bright colors. They were not see through thankfully, I'm a size 27 and I got a six which fit tighter than my other pairs. May 21, 2013
Cute shorts! These shorts are so cute! I am 5'4" 124lbs, I went ahead and ordered my regular size 4 in dune, even though other reveiws said to size up, they fit just like the picture. I do not have a curvey bum or thighs so maybe this is why I am finding them tts? They are also very comfortable - can't wait for my next run! May 21, 2013
Be careful about sizing based on reviews This is my first speed short purchase. I always felt like they looked too short,however the super helpful ladies at knoxville,TN store talked me into trying them. I love them and they are perfect for running. I bought wee space pinkalicious in same size as all other groovy runs and pacesetter skirts that I own. So I just want to warn you to try them on because the fabrics can fit so differently and just basing your decision on other reviews may have you wasting $5 on returns. Waist is perfect,no muffin top and the fabric and overall fit is great even with larger butt and thighs. May 20, 2013
waiting for "very green" I love the fit and style of these running shorts (I have them in black). I'm hoping to see them come out soon in the "very green" color!!! (Any chance of that happening???) I think they'd go great as a swim cover up with the lulu swimsuits out right now. May 18, 2013
best running shorts I was a little bit apprehensive buying these, I have the plain black pair from last season and ordered the pink this season and was disappointed that the fabric was so much thicker.. however when i saw the purple and black quilted band shorts i bit the bullet and ordered them.. so happy.. they the same type of four way stretch as the black from last year, and even better, i don't have to cinch the waist as much.. the other ones get a little bunchy around the waist from cinching it. I agree with most reviews, I am normally a size four in lulu bottoms, but in these shorts i always have to go up a size. I am 5'4 125lbs. May 17, 2013
LOVE these shorts These are my absolute favorite running shorts. I run about 6-10 miles daily & now ONLY wear my Lulu speed shorts. I can't stop buying them. They fit PERFECTLY- no riding up, no muffin top. Just VERY comfortable shorts. Not only do I wear them to run in, but they are my go-to shorts for running errands, or just lounging around the house. Perfect shorts if you get the right size It is a pity the online store doesn't separate the 2 ways from 4ways. I wear a size 4 in 4-way swift (burning yellow), size 6 in 2-ways (inkwell wagon strip) and size 8 in crazily tight 2-ways (wee are from space combo, pink parfait). Once you get the right size, these shorts are perfect for running, lifting, dog-walking. Some reviews have issues with the lighter colors being see through. It doesn't bother me one bit as they obviously look like sports shorts and most people know that sports shorts comes with liners. It is nto as though you will be revealing anything that should not be seen. May 17, 2013
Size down not up A lot of the reviews here are misleading. I wear size 4 in lulu bottoms and upon reading the reviews, most said to size up due to the 2-way stretch vs 4-way stretch. Well, that was a total bust! Size 4 would have been perfect. I got the Frond print and it looks like I have a diaper on coz it's sooo big on me. This is really super short that you could wear this somewhat limited. I may change my mind in the summer since I'd be craving for less garment. If you have skinny legs/thighs, this won't look as 'tight' in the thigh area; thus leaving you with a lot of room. I am contemplating re-selling or giving it to someone in my circle who's willing to wear it. May 16, 2013
