love these
I bought a pair of these this weekend, however I bought the tall option, even though I am quite short.. at 5'3 or 5'4ish. I like a little more coverage on my legs during my workouts. I wore these shorts this morning for my work (les mills bodystep and bodypump) and I absolutley loved them! They stayed in the right place the whole time... no adjustment needed! Perfect. And I like that the tall option gave me more leg coverage!

super comfortable
I am 5'7", 110 lbs, and got these in size 4-Tall. I didn't grab tall on purpose (regular would fit fine, too), but I liked the way they fit in the dressing room so I got them. They come down to a few inches above my knee. I wore them to Bikram class yesterday with the Practice Freely top and they were so comfy! This was my first Lulu purchase. I love the fabric. I like short shorts too, but I also appreciate that these are a little more modest and still flattering. I see a pair of 4-Regulars in my future. And maybe some Hot 'N Sweaties while I'm at it...

surprisingly awesome
Groove Shorts are great for yoga! They don't budge in practices loaded with lunges, squats, and deep twists. But if you attempt to run in these, be warned: they ride up immediately. The first few steps push the shorts right up my thighs. It is obnoxious and distracting pulling them down every other step. BUT once I get sweaty, they stay put. This has been the case every run so far. Where they stay is a little higher than 5 1/8" down the thigh (maybe about 4", which is at the edge of the curve of my inner thigh), but it still prevents chafing. This material is light years ahead of my Nike and Under Armour shorts of similar make, even regarding riding up. Very flattering cut for muscular legs, and they make a curvy booty look great.
The luon on my pair of Groove Shorts is also smoother and looser than that of my Wunder Unders, which is fine, just notable. I say 4 out of 5 stars because I'm unsure women of all athletics would agree with my recommendation (THE all sport short? Come on lulu...). I think a test run is a MUST if you're interested in these. This is workout wear, so it could use a "test it first" return policy that enables us to return gear that doesn't work as lulu assures us it should.
I'm happy with my purchase though and hope this review helps someone out, even though it's kinda lengthy. :)

Not for running
I bought these specifically for running on the recommendation of the sales person. I Just got in from a 11.5 mile run wearing these for the first time. I am so disappointed, these shorts rode up the entire time. I had to fix them and tug at them the entire run. I agree that they did not create any chaffing, however, they were in places they should not be, and it was really uncomfortable.

Excellent Shorts
I received these in the mail last week and absolutely love them! They will be perfect for every activity. They fit just right and don't ride up at all. Excellent quality, will definitely be ordering another pair. Happy that these are somewhat reasonable priced :)

Couldn't be more perfect! I'm on crew, wearing tight fitting clothe to row is a must so most girls opt to wear just spandex. The majority of my team has switched to using these pants though, they provide just enough coverage and are much more forgiving than regular spandex. I wear one of these every day, not just for rowing but for running and weight lifting too.

Never thought I'd wear bootie shorts!
So I'm a crossfitter, and I'm kind of a butch chick, no lie. Muscular build, broad shoulders, and I generally prefer long, loose shorts to work out in. After a 90 Day health and fitness challenge, everyone was telling me how great I look, so I splurged on a pair of Lulu's, the ultimate in niceties in my local CrossFit box. I figured it was kind of a joke, a bit of humor toward myself. I chose these because they were the longest "Bootie" shorts I saw.
Then they arrived. And they were awesome. These shorts make my bum look great, they make everything smooth, and they feel great -- soft and luxurious! The rise is a little high for me, so I have to fold the waist a little, but there's no CT despite my greatest fears. My friends think it's awesome, and I feel really great in them. They've even survived carrying stuff and burpees, scraping across the ground, no pills or wear!
I may be a convert. CrossFit and Lulu have let me feel feminine! You guys are amazing. Worth every cent!

perfect short for tall/curvy women doing Bikram
This short is my new favourite for Bikram. I have long legs, and I am very curvy on the bottom. I find the Boogie short does not provide near enough coverage. The Groove is just right. I wasn't worrying or thinking about the garment at all, which is just wonderful. And it is true to size. I'm going to buy several more now!!!

Awesome coverage for longer legs
I love these shorts!! I have done everything in them from Bikram yoga to Crossfit. In all actives they perform extremely well. I am 5'9 so the inseam is perfect for my legs which are usually a little too exposed in shorter styles. The waist fits great as well, no muffin. These keep me cool and modest while working out.

Problems with Riding Up
I've used these shorts two types of workout - yoga and a cardio class. These shorts were great for the yoga class. They stayed in place and didn't ride up. However, for the cardio class, they rode up so bad, they drove me crazy! I wouldn't recommend them for running/cardio/bootcamp, etc. They need the sticky silicone stuff that I see they've put on the Run: Shorty Short. That being said, they fit true to size and have a little key pocket in them.
