Play All Day Short
These shorts are designed to be the "perfect partner in crime for all of our summer adventures"? WRONG
First off the material is thin. AND the stitching on the inner seam is ITCHY! It's like a whole line of itchy around your hips!
AND these shorts PILED after the first wear. And even though i washed it as instructed, the piling only got worse after the first wash and each subsequent wear. They are now completely unwearable due to the unsightly piling - after TWO WEARS.
Terrible terrible terrible! Would NOT recommend them!

Must have shorts
The Play All Day shorts are by far my favorite Lulu shorts. They are extremely comfortable and made of good quality thicker material. They feel well made. I'm a size 8 in Lulu clothing and have just about every solid color of these shorts (not the striped ones). The size 8 fits me perfectly. I hope Lulu will make these shorts in bright colors (e.g. medium pink, dark pink, medium purple, dark purple, medium red, green, etc.). And, bring them back in black too.

Surpassed my expectations
I am blown away by these shorts! My mother was right when she recommended I order these. The fit is spot on, and the fabric is so comfortable. I see changing into these after a sweaty hot yoga session. These are now my absolute favorite casual shorts. The length is just right to be short, but not inappropriately shorty-short. Bonus - they make your booty looks great!
I would love if there was a light pink color and a solid cream color.

Pretty sweet shorts
I'm a little over 5'9, 145-155lbs.
Normally wear 8 (8tall) sometimes a 6, sometimes a 10 depending on fit.
I ordereda 10. Originally I thought was too big, but kinda like the baggy/looser fit.
I have thicker/muscular legs so it works well with tie tighter at waist.
Ordered in purple--love love love color!
Would definitely order again... Maybe in a smaller size for variety in fit.

I bought two pairs of these shorts at the beginning of summer. A black pair and a white/grey pair with strips. I love both pairs, but the white/grey strip pair elastic has folded/rolled making them slightly uncomfortable. I haven't had the same problem with the black pair. The black pair seems to be a thicker material then the white/grey pair.

I got these in the yellow and white stripe from the WMTM section and they were just delivered. I am now wearing them the rest of the day. No scratchiness, and the reason I am writing the review is to comment on size. I am a 6 in everything lulu, tops and bottoms (CRB, Grooves, Speed Shorts, etc). For me sizing down would have been a mistake, they would have been too small. My advice is stick to the size you wear in other lulu bottoms. To me these are just daily shorts, I don't really see a lot of workout functionality in these. Thanks lulu!!

Color/print patterns may cause fit difference
I bought a black pair of play all day shorts the first day they came out. I am a runner, and had run a half marathon a month before, but I sized up from my normal 8 to a 10 because I am pregnant and growing by the day. The 10 felt a bit big when they first arrived, but I tightened the band a bit, and that worked. Even though they felt a bit big, when I checked them out in the mirror, they didn't really look awkward big- more casual not fitted looking. While I feel like they fit true to size, I think you could size up if a size is not available or you are in my situation ;) I have ended up wearing them constantly since I received them- very comfortable when I was not feeling well and I could easily dress them up on down. Also of note- animal hair did not stick much and mess from dealing with my other 2 small children didn't show easily. They have been washed at least 10 times, and not always with all workout gear when I was on vacation. They have held up perfectly- they look like when I took them out of the shipping package.
When I made a recent visit to my not so local lulu, I saw that the nimbus (super light gray) and the groovy stripe/nimbus versions were in the sale section. Since I had gotten so much wear out of the black pair, I took both colors back to the fitting room with me. Please do note I am bigger now, and the 10 is my current size. I had been leaning towards the groovy stripe pair, but when I tried both pairs on, I was surprised to see that the striped pair did not fit me as well. They seemed to pull in the hips. When I looked closer, I realized the stripe fabric seemed to be a 2 way stretch, while the nimbus pair was a 4 way stretch that fit like my well loved black pair. I ended up walking away with the nimbus pair- they just fit better.
*I am 5'9 and was 155 when my shorts first arrived, 163 now.
Lulu- it would help a lot of us online shoppers if you could post on your website which fabrics in a product are 2 versus 4 way stretch. It makes a huge difference in fit- especially in anything in swift- like these shorts and the speed shorts. I think it would also cut down on the complaints on fit.

The PERFECT Pair of Shorts
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I actually can't say enough!
I love the casual everyday look of these shorts, with the added benefits of breathable, lightweight and durable fabric. I wear them everywhere with everything. I even wear them to sleep! They are the perfect length for summer. I own them in yellow and just purchased two more pairs in different colours!
Thanks Lulu for another amazing product!!

I agree with the last few reviews posted here. The interior of the waistband is VERY scratchy on your skin; so scratchy it almost hurts. I bought these to be a more loose fitting, casual short to wear during my pregnancy, and the fit is amazing as well as the material, but the scratchiness will probably cause me to never wear them again. Unless you wear an undershirt that you tuck into the shorts, I can't see how you wouldn't mind this flaw. I would not recommend you buy these.
