Studio Pant II *No Liner

We wear these pants on our way to the studio (and in class when we forget our yoga shorts).

why we made this

We designed these pants to keep us comfortable on the way to and from the yoga studio and gave them two-way stretch and a drawcord at the hem so we can cinch up the legs and turn these pants into crops to practice in them in a pinch. The inherently-wicking Swift fabric helps us stay cool and dry.

key features

  • the Swift fabric has two-way stretch to move with you as you squat and lunge
  • cinch the continuous drawcord at the hem to shorten the pant into a crop
  • the wide waistband has an elastic drawcord for comfort
  • stow your essentials in the deep hip pockets
  • go ahead, jump around! the hidden key pocket is designed to keep 'em secure

tech specs

  • designed for: yoga, gym, to-and-from
  • fabric(s): Swift
  • properties: moisture-wicking, preshrunk, breathable
  • rise: medium
  • fit: relaxed
  • inseam: 34"

Wardrobe Staple-Its a must have!! I am in love with these pants. I recently purchased the Soot color and I absolutely love them, though I wanted the inkwell, but these are just as great. Pros: >They are super light and stretchy, great for running in the cooler parts of summer and for lazy days. >The color is light enough that it can be paired with most colors which makes it a wardrobe staple (The soot color is like a medium gray). >I love the waistband, it doesnt fall down or stretch out and they are TTS. I wouldnt recommend sizing up or down, just buy your normal size. >The pants are super flattering in the bum and thigh and the deep pockets are great for bigger phones and all of the other stuff I like to pack around in a day. I love the hidden key pocket! >The drawstrings on the waistband are great but they dont need to be pulled too tight to make a difference. The ones on the legs are nice to have but dont always stay up during sprinting, but thats not a huge problem >They wash up nicely, but I hung mine to dry just in case Cons: >The length is a little long even for my height >The price-It could definitely be lower considering that I have a pair of pants that are cotton, but similar style and they cost me wayyy less. >Inkwell color not available-When I went to buy the pants I was keen on the inkwell color or the black, the black they didnt have my size, and the inkwell wasnt available, so I opted for the soot (Im still happy with my choice, it just wasnt my first choice) Stats: >Im 5'10, 32D, 120Lbs, my inseam is 32.5" so I often opt for longer inseams so I have shrinking room. >I'm very slender but have quite a bit of muscle tone in my legs (my thighs are kind of bulky) mostly from running and figure skating. Fitting my bottom half is often a problem because my legs are much longer than my torso, but these pants definitely fit my long legs. >I ordered a size 6 and they fit me perfectly. Overall: Lulu, I love these pants, but I would recommend shortening the length by about an inch (33 would be perfect!!) and dropping the price, they dont need to cost what they do, especially if you're a student on a tight budget. Also, please bring back the inkwell color!! I loved it!! I would have given this 5*'s if the length was a bit shorter and the inkwell color was available (but thats just my personal taste). love love love until I almost lived in these pants when I first bought them, SO comfortable and flattering. I bought them with future travelling plans in mind, thinking they'd be perfect to backpack in, which they were. On a cooler day hiking in the mountains, I was caught in rainy weather. Unfortunately, I got drenched after which these pants weren't the same; they bagged out and no longer fit as well or look as good as they did. I was quite disappointed as I thought that they should've been able to withstand some of the elements especially with the quality that I've experienced with other lulu products and the hefty price tag that these pants carry. Maybe what people are saying is true, that lulu quality is not what it "used to be." They're still comfortable, just not my "go-to" as they were. June 17, 2013
Amazing! I don't know how I've gone so long without these pants. Seeing as I work with kids between the ages of 6 to 18, I am always moving and going places, theses pants are light, comfortable and super breathable. They make an amazing replacement for my jeans and gives me more peace of mind if I need to move quickly that they wont rip, like previous jeans have. I currently have a pair of blacks, I wanted to get bright blue ones to, but didn't act fast enough and now there is no more! Bring those back Lulu!! I would gladly wear these pants all the time if I could. Like the scuba hoodie, this is one of those must own items from Lululemon! Make sure you buy a size down tho, they tend to stretch out through the day. June 16, 2013
Can't live without these pants! I have had these pants for a couple of years and let me tell you they only get better with age!. No sagging or stretching out and super comfy. Were it to Zumba, yoga, go for a run, chase your kids or just relaxing on the couch or hanging with your friends. Trust me they are a must buy June 16, 2013
Unable to size down when you wear a 2! I really love the look of these pants, but unfortunately they run really big. That wouldn't be an issue if I were able to size down, but I am a size 2. Lulu, please fix this problem! June 12, 2013
Comfy All Day Pant Love my studio pants, very comfortable. Also got a pair of crops for summer time and running. My pants are navy blue and I don't recommend wearing a light coloured hoody with them as the waist line attracts fuzz and I can't get rid of them. Did my own hemming to keep draw cord. Looking forward to new colours ! June 11, 2013
Love Love Love!!! I bought these pants in black on kind of a whim in February. I had never purchased lulu pants before but I went in to try on the groove pants and decided to try the studio ones on as well because I had seen them on other people and they just looked really nice! I ended up walking out with both. Now, I have always been a jeans kind of girl but these pants have changed my life! (okay, not really, but they're pretty awesome). They are fitted in all the right places. The waistband is perfect! I work with toddlers all day and am constantly bending over, squatting down, and being on the floor...these pants stay in place all day long! No worrying about adjusting or pulling them up, which is perfect because I don't have the time! The deep pockets are perfect for my essentials when playing outside with the kids and I don't worry about anything falling out. The extra little pocket within the pocket is great for my burts bees too :) They are long but I cinch the drawcord around my ankle so they sit nicely...only downside to this is having to tuck the tied drawcord up so I do not step on it, particularly when walking outside. But it is not a big enough concern to stop wearing them. I may get them hemmed...but I do not like that it would mean no more drawcord and I like the slimmer fit at the ankle when I cinch the drawcord as I am petite and do not care for a lot of bagginess at the bottom. These quickly became my favorite pants to wear for work and when I saw them online in purple and soot, I knew I had to get them. I went to get them today and the purple is such a beautiful color! I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of these pants! June 8, 2013
New Work/Workout Transitional Pants As part of the R&D Team it is key for me to give an input on my Lulu purchases but these pants really deserve some gratitude. It is hard enough to make the transition from getting to wear Lulu pants all day as my uniform to working in a hospital and just training on the side. Now with these pants however, I can have the best of both worlds as I go from being a professional to running off to train my client. Although these pants were far too long and I wasn't a fan of the drawstring bottoms, both were an easy fix by the free hemming of the pants when I purchased them. The fabric is nice and light for summer wear, comfortable and easy to move in, yet can pass as still looking professional in the hospital setting. June 7, 2013
awsome pants but hem and size down These pants look incredible on, i had them in my closet and never wore them until i went to the lulu store and got them hemmed. After that i bought another pair in blue, i do recommend to size down. Im usually a size 6 and i got my first ones in size 2 and the second pair in size 4, and i think the size 2 looks better. The elastic on the bottom of the hem doesn't really work because it rolls down after a while of wearing them and this becomes annoying. They really became functional and my fav pants after i hemmed them. hope this helps. June 7, 2013
Original Studio Pant Loved them I bought the studio pant last year and loved them. I got them for school and work. Studying Massage therapy I needed a comfortable pant to sit in and for hands on class. I also wear then to work in security as I am always running around. I never had any major problems with them except that I am 5'2 so they are too long. I found though that the waist band was odd sizing. the 12 pants fit great, slightly baggy but the waist no matter how I pulled was too big and the the elastic held poorly, the 10 waist was perfect but the crotch area too tight. I love them for work, just with the pockets were deeper as when I put my stuff in them the pants fall down. I just bought the crop II version for work this summer so I hope they are just as nice. They are still in the bag. Please do the studio pant in a short version. June 5, 2013
