Sadly disappointed
I was given a gift certificate for Christmas and just recently used it to purchase my first pair of Lulu lemon pants. I am really disappointed with the quality of this product. The fabric piled the first time I wore them and gets worse with each wash. They have been hand washed and laid flat to dry no more than ten times. I have several pairs of yoga pants I purchased for $30 at Superstore four years ago that are in better shape than these newer much more expensive ones. My old ones are not piled at all. I just can't justify paying lulu lemon prices when I can buy a comparable if not better quality product for much less somewhere else. I won't be making any lulu lemon purchases in the future unless the product reviews improve dramatically.

Disappointed
I am disappointed in the new groove pant. I am 5?7 and have always purchased the regular length. They are now too short by an inch, forcing me to purchase the tall and have them hemmed. Not only that, but the rise of the pant sits just under my belly button! Terrible! The fabric is much thinner, but it is like that with every pant style now. I miss the days when lulu was known for the quality of their clothing. Please bring your quality and your old groove pant back!!

Not the same Grooves as before...
These simply are not the same Groove pants as before. These are the opposite of the old Groove pant; unflattering, uncomfortable and...UNFLATTERING! I honestly think wearing tights might be more forgiving. What a shame. Bring back the old, quality Luon! Those were worth 98$. These definitly are NOT. Do not waste your money.

Love The Pants!
I've had my eyes on the Groove Pants for quite some time, but was hesitant to buy them. Most of the reviews online were saying that the fabric was see through and too revealing, that the waist band was odd and that the pants just weren't as good as the old Groove Pants. So I decided to go down to our local LuluLemon and see for myself.
As soon as I tried them on I was in love. Me being quite petite at 5'1'', 120lbs and a size 6, the pants didn't fit perfectly, but LuluLemon offered a free shortening of the pants. I found that the pants were not see through or too revealing, that the waistband fit me perfectly and though the fabric was quite different than the old fabric, it was really comfortable.
When I got them home and began wearing them, I found that the gusset was not in the right position. It was not helping and I found myself making sure that nothing was showing down there throughout the day, but the pants stay in position so nothing was really happening. That was the only issue about the pants that I had.
Overall, the new Groove Pants are fantastic to wear anywhere and are the perfect pants for me. Thank you LuluLemon for creating these wonderfull pants!

Groove silverescent is way better
Just wanted to ask what is the deal with Luon these days (/last year) & what is the difference between Luon vs Luon silver? (Besides anti-stink)
I want to know why these grooves feel much thinner than before and are thinner/more sheer than Luon silver grooves. Even in the black very minor cellulite is noticeable. I started buying lulu because it was an answer to my prayers for sexy, confident athletic pants. Showing every little imperfection is the opposite, it's horrifying and actually think I look much better naked than in these sheer pants!
I love the cut & fit, just not the fabric quality. I am still a regular weekly lulu shopper but won't be buying Luon anymore. Only silverescent, swift, and Luxtreme from now on.

So sad with the new groove
I am so disappointed with these new pants. The fit was terrible. I don't know what changed with the material, but my old grooves made my bum look great, these new ones just show off my cellulite! (And I'm not even big!)
I am really disappointed. I am going to have to find a new brand to buy my basic black yoga pants. There is no way I would go out in public wearing these.

Please Change Back!!!
I have been wearing grooves for years, and they used to be excellent. I have about 7 pairs of the older version. They fit great, and looked even better. With the changes they are horribly unflattering. Call me vain if you will, but I cannot spend $100 on a pair of pants that don't make me feel good. I wish you could give us a choice between the regular and new slim version. At least I still have the wunder unders!

Used to be much better
I love the groove pants, I had a pair that I had had for a few years and was devastated when I lost them. Bought the new style in my usual size which did fit perfect. HOWEVER....as many other reviews have said about LuLu....quality has gone waaaaay down. The fabric is much thinner. I've only had the new ones about two weeks, had worn them a handful of times...hand washed and layed flat to dry as I do with all of my Lulu and have already started to notice pilling on the thighs and bottom. I never snagged them or was rough with them so could only contribute this to the poorer quality that Lulu is putting out these days. PLEASE LULU!!!!!.....listen to all of the customers reviews and either improve the quality of your product to what it once was or decrease the price to match the decreased quality. Sadly, I once recommended Lulu Lemon to all of my friends however don't anymore because of such a drastic decrease in quality....Can only give this an average rating where as a few years ago it would have had 5 stars

fabric has changed
I bought these recently and was very disappointed. I have 3 pair of old ones which I needed to replace. The fabric of the new pair is nothing at all like the fabric used for the older pants. The new fabric is much thinner. It is obvious Lululemon has cut back on quality to increase their profits. The new fabric is extremely unflattering! I am 5'2'' and 110 lbs. so weight is not the issue. I will need to find a new company to purchase my yoga pants from.

Why is it so hard to make colors NOT see through?
I am continually perplexed by the fact that it is seemingly so hard for lulu to come out with colors that are both not black and not see through. I thought these were super cute, but didn't dare buying them without trying them on. It's a good thing I waited. From the minute I pulled these up i could see they were totally see through. My legs are heavily tattooed and you could see all of my tattoos through the pants.
I LOVE the bright colors lulu comes out with, but I just really can't understand why it is so hard insure the fabric doesn't bare all. Every time I see the disclaimer about doing a couple down dogs to be sure you're happy with coverage, I just feel disappointed it even needs to be there. When I am purchasing $80-$110 pants I don't think I should even second guess whether or not I have to worry about baring too much and having to return. This is FITNESS wear, really, who is ok with any level of see through?
I imagine lulu has quality testers and people trying things on. How are designs and fabrics lacking coverage making it this far??
