why we made this

A deep hood, thumbholes and Cotton Fleece fabric make this sweatshirt our go-to piece when we're wanting to boost our cozy factor. We designed it to be soft and stretchy to increase movability when we're battling the elements.

Great hoodie but.... Get a size biger!! Okay I bought this hoodie thinking that it would be great! I am very thankful for the reviews because I am regularly a size 8 145pounds but I got a size 10 and that was a great choice. The size 10 was PERFECT! The sleeves a good but the bottom does NOT stretch there was no reason to call it " stretch" because it does not! A bit thight around the cheats area (Boobs). But overall a great sweater! Way too short I'm so upset with the length fo this hoodie! I have a lot of bras, tanks and pants from lulu and really wanted a hoodie for "To and From". I love the fabric, but when I tried it on I thought it was a bit short, falls just below my belly button. I'm tall 5'7" so I always look for shirts and hit my hips. Needless to say that my hoodie is way too short, I find myself always having to wear something longer underneath. Also, I couldn't believe when I saw my friends hoodie which is the older version with the side panels. She is a size 10, I'm a 12 and her hoodie fit me better than mine and its smaller. So after doing some research I discovered that LLL used to have this model but reverted to a "Remix" style hoodie thats is boxy and too short. Unless the older style Scuba comes back I won't be buying another one, I really don't appreciate all the layering I have to do just to keep my waste and midsection covered when I bend over....so unappealing. Why is this hoodie so short? This is my first Scuba hoodie and I am super bummed about the short length. I got it off WMTM, so I am stuck with it. What a TERRIBLE return policy, LULU!!!! The sleeves are plenty long, but the body of the hoodie is too short! I am tall, but all legs and very short wasted. I can't imagine how a person with a long torso or even a busty gal could comfortably wear this; it would barely come to the waste of a mid-rise pant. Forget about wearing yor low rise pants unless you want your mid-section to hang out! It's OK to throw over my workout clothes, because my tops are always WAY longer than the hoodie! In general I feel annoyed wearing his hoodie, because I am constantly tugging on it trying to make it longer, but it just keeps riding up! How about making a tall size and then there is an option for people over 5' tall. In addition to the short length, I think the zipper looks cheap and this hoodie has no stretch component whatsoever. It is more thick and stiff than stretchy. I am new to LULU and am not impressed with this product. I have several Kavu Hoodies that are much better quality and were significantly less $$ than even the WMTM price. I would never pay full price for this! Bummer, because I really wanted to like this. Biggest lulu disappointment ever I have been a Lululemon hoodie fanatic for years, and had been looking forward to buying this one with a GC I received. However, the sizing is way off from the previous Scuba hoodie, I normally wear a 6, this was way too snug, the 8 fit and looked ok but was not comfortable, and the 10 was huge and looked horrible. The material is much thinner and it seems like they likely would not last as long as the previous Scubas. Please bring them back!! May 1, 2013
Love it! I have an original Scuba hoody which got a big grease/oil stain on the sleeve....don't ask...I have no idea how it got there :( I've been wanting a new one but reading the reviews online made me weary of ordering one. I was able to try one on in store and I love it!! I wear the same size as the old one and it actually fits me better! I'm short in the torso so maybe that's why? Either way, I love it! April 26, 2013
Love more than old style! Bought a stretch for my Mom at Christmas & I fell in love with it! I have a old style scuba which I bought at WMTM & I do like it but not love it. I found it wasn't very cozy, is a little stiff for my liking & the zipper has broken! Iam SO looking forward to this new scuba! My husband even approves this green colour! April 26, 2013
After I got an old scuba from ebay... I got a new scuba first, not a big fan, it's smaller than I expect a hoodie jacket would be, so tight it feels like a Hollister hoodie. The length is not really working for me either, also feels like Hollister hoodie. (I am 5'3, size 4). So I decided to get an old scuba to compare(after all, I've seen so many people saying old scuba is better). Today my old scuba arrived, I put it on, same size 4, with perfect room so that I can move comfortably, it is thicker and warmer, definitely feels better quality. The length is perfect on the middle of my butt, like a perfect hug. After comparing my 2 scubas, I regret spending so much money on the stretch. April 19, 2013
Please please bring the regular scuba hoodie back I love Lululemon and I have been in love with the scuba hoodies for years (I own 5 of them). I want to buy a new one but I do not like the scuba hoodie stretch at all. I love the cotton feel, style and thickness of the old hoodie. The new stretch fabric is thin and feels like it is of less quality. Please please, pretty please bring back the old scuba hoodie! Thank you, June April 17, 2013
REVISED REVIEW Lululemon would not let me write a review on the lined version as I had written one a month ago when I received the hoody. So, after a month of light wear I have an update to my review and have to put it here because the web site would not let me do a "duplicate" review. I have purchased 3 items from Lululemon, EVER. They all had to be sent back as defective. Including my new black scuba hoody (lined hood). After a handful of wears, the stretch panels on the arms started getting little white broken elastic bits sticking out like hairs. I never wore this to work out, mostly as a coat to pick kids up from school. Terribly disappointed as I had originally given it 4 stars. That makes on return for a running shirt that had 3 snags before I even wore it, a scuba return for a terribly twisted arm seam and now this. I don't even know what to order with the gift card I will get. I may just sell it. April 17, 2013
Fraying and Poor Customer Service I really wanted to love this jacket. Two weeks after I got one as a birthday present though, the fabric near the thumb holes had frayed very badly. I brought it to a store in Denver to show them the fraying and they literally laughed at me and told me all their customers loved this jacket, that nothing looked wrong, and it must be just me. I gave the jacket to a Goodwill and am now disappointed with all the money I spent. April 13, 2013
