why we made this
When we're heading to class, we want a cozy mid-layer that can stand on its own. We designed this stretchy luon fabric jacket with zipper pockets to hold our gear for us while we grab a tea with friends before we head in to the studio.
secure zipper pockets for your phone, keys and cash
thumbholes keep your sleeves in place and make layering easy
moisture-wicking fabric helps pull sweat away from post-practice skin
park that zip in the zipper garage before it scratches your chin
mesh venting in the armpits helps you let off steam
Please bring back define
I went to the store hoping I'd be the exception to all these negative reviews. But no, the reviews are dead on.
The colors are great but, the jacket is laughable. I tried on multiple sizes and found the quality to be lacking especially in the seams.
I wanted to love the jacket. I really wanted to buy it, before trying it on.
The only way to get the Define back is for everyone to NOT BUY this jacket. We can do, if we all don't buy the jacket, lulu lemon might notice.
I wanted to buy a jacket, but I can hold out. Can you?

You can sill get define jacket from UK site
You can still get the define jacket from the UK website for lululemon. Just change the American flag on your website to UK.
Maybe these are just the left overs or maybe lulu does not want to sell the better quality products in the US anymore.
Its sad. But you can still get the define jacket from the international websites, just not in the US and Canada

Wal-Mart > Lululemon
I have been an avid customer for the past 4 years. I own an obscene amount of Lulu clothing. You name it: sport bras, running pants, running crops, shorts, headbands, hoodies, jackets, etc.
I have been buying their clothing on a monthly basis.
However, I have not been able to purchase a single item in the past 6 months - pants are seeing through, shorts are too short, etc. Don't get me wrong: the colors are wonderful and the designs are to die for, but when you compare past items (for instance, running pants that I have purchased 3 years ago that are still moisture-wicking, still tight, and NOT see-through), it is obvious that the quality has dangerously plummeted. The feel of the material is just not the same and do not even get me started on the fit.
I tried on the Forme Jacket and almost burst out of laughter right in the store. I am a small and athletic girl, but this jacket gave me the biggest belly ever. Also, I have never ever had problems with the length of Lulu's sleeves (I used to pick up my items and go - rarely ever tried anything). The Forme's sleeves are way too long and sizing up just makes the entire jacket look humongous.
All in all, I asked around the gym and friends and the general consensus was that this new jacket was awful beyond belief (friends have bought it and said the seams come apart and it starts pilling after a single wash). I have been wearing my Defines with no issues for years and they fit perfectly. The Forme jacket is probably one of Lulu's silliest moves as it is probably their most famous item along with the Wunder Unders.

I got this in Fresh Teal and Pop Orange! I really like the fit of both jackets and I love the colors. However, I didn't give it five stars because it's not my favorite. I really like the longer jackets (like the stride) and also I think it's a little over priced, but hey I love the colors! I wish that the other jackets had more colors than just white and black, I wear fitness jackets everyday for work and sweat in them a lot, so I'd like to be able to have bright colors, and more variety. Still a pretty good jacket.

Love This Jacket...
I own both the define jacket and this forme jacket. I hesitated before purchasing this forme jacket but I am so satisfied with the purchase. I love them both. Yes, I enjoy the more flattering look of the define and those awesome cuffins, but for warmer weather for just to the gym in the morning or to throw on for walking the pooch in the evening, it is perfect. I love the design of mine. It's the orange/inkwell color with beautiful flattering line designs in the shoulders and sleeves. My posture looks amazing when I wear this. I love the bright orange. I love that the sleeves are a tad longer than necessary. Love the thumbholes so I can live without the cuffins and I prefer the thumbholes anyways. It is preshrunk and I have washed it almost weekly for several months and have not been disappointed yet. No pilling. No loose threads. No shrinkage. No fading, yet. I like the scoop length in the back end. The pockets are perfect size and overall this jacket is lovely. I like the thinner fabric of this, but use my define for those more chilly mornings or evenings. I feel like the fit is very true to size. I wear a 12 in the define, and ordered a 12 in the forme and am looking forward to getting a solid color as well. I love the bright pinks. My favorite. I have received so many compliments on this jacket and did I mention the mesh venting in the armpits. LOVE that feature! I'm considering the soot light as the contrasting colors in the shoulders really increase the flattering-ness if this! Thanks Lulu!

Bring Back Define!
Lulu hasn't it been long enough, can we please bring back the define jacket already. I just can't bring myself to buy this jacket, and I hear the same complaints from other Lulu loving women at the gym. I'm sure the forme is fine if you never had the define, but for those of us that have this just doesn't compare. The fit is off, the length isn't as flattering and the general design looks cheaper.
Please Lulu, listen to your long time customers and bring back the define, it's a workout staple and my closet is sad without it.

WHERE IS THE DEFINE!???
To paraphrase "Mean Girls," lululemon needs to stop trying to make the Forme jacket happen. It's not going to happen.
Seriously. This jacket is a piece of garbage compared to the Define jacket. It is 50% of the quality for 100%(+) of the price. The Define jacket was actually WORTH the money because of: (1) the amazing, high-quality, thick fabric; (2) the flattering cut; (3) the high-quality, durable seams; (4) the impeccable attention to detail with things like cuffins and back vents.
This jacket has NONE of those things. It's fabric is flimsy and cheap in comparison to the Define's fabric. The cut is imprecise, unflattering and baggy. The seams fall apart. And it lacks all the lovely details that made the Define jacket worth it. For this quality I might as well go get a jacket at Target for $30.
Lulu, you may be squeezing every last dollar of profit out of every sale, but you are cutting off your nose to spite your face. I thought you would have learned after the Wunder Under debacle, but your quality decline continues. Max out those profits while you can because every former lulu devotee I know is jumping ship. Other brands are catching up on "cuteness" and with your quality declining to match theirs, there is no reason to pay your price premiums.

I ordered the teal colour. I get complimented on both the colour and the fit. Its very slimming in the waist. I usually wear a size 6 with the coats, which gives me extra room. This one is quite tight, which works for the look I want.
The sleeves have the thumb latches, which I dont care for. With the coat being a light colour, I dont want the cuffs to get dirty.

this is my all time favorire jacket!! i originally bought it in black and recently bought it in pink (itll be here tomorrow i cant wait!!!) i love the thumbholes and the mesh venting! the sizing does run a little smaller but its designed to fit a little more snug and thats what i like so much about it! so i may reccomend buying in a size up if u like it to be loose fitting!

Please go back to your Great Quality Lulu!
I am a Lulu addict, love the brand and rave about all of my Lulu garments. This jacket is of extremely poor quality.....can't even recognize it as Lulu. It feels like a knock-off. I have over 100 Lulu itmes, so am very accustomed to the old high qualilty. Please, Lulu, go back to your high standards so we can continue buying new Lulu!
