Skinniest Satin Pirouette Headband
Perfect headband that stays in place
I have a bigger head, and anytime I wear a regular headband it slips off the back looking like a crown. I have danced since I was 3, and have never found anything that I would be able to wear in and outside of the studio...until this headband! I love this one, it has an adjustable slider and does not stretch (which I love!). The grips on the headband are very effective, it coats the whole opposite side of the headband.

Adjustable and Functional
I like the adjustable strap on this headband. It is nice to use when I need sometime a little lighter on my head. The sticky on the back side keeps it in place.

pretty but not functional
I made the mistake of buying 3 different colors before test driving these headbands. These should work in theory, I suppose - they're adjustable for a custom fit and they have a "sticky" back to hold the it in place. However, similar to another reviewer, the headband does not work for my Asian hair. I've worn it 3x - once in the office, once at pure barre, and once playing golf. All 3x, it slid all the way back to my pony tail. One thing I did note is that, unlike other headbands, it doesn't hurt my head.

Just used in hot yoga last night and it was fine until my hair was drenched in sweat. Even the most grippy silicone cannot hold onto wet hair, so I cannot fault the band. I do like that it is so small and I like the easy to adjust feature of it. Unfortunately, the slide kind of reminds me of what you would see on a bra strap. When I'm not going to be completely drenched, this will be my go-to headband.

Just received this headband in the mail yesterday and I'm disappointed that it's too big to really stay on my head. I need to tighten the headband so much that not enough of the grippy material contacts my hair and the headband slides up and doesn't feel secure at all. I'm disappointed because these are not returnable and they are advertized as one-size-fits-all. Other lulu headbands work for me (Bang Buster in particular), so I'm disappointed about this one, and feel gypped that I can't return it. I don't think I'll ever be able to wear it.
(The headband is cute, though!)

Pretty + Practical
My grown out bangs are still short enough to sometimes escape a top knot. I wanted a headband I could also wear when I wasn't working out, not very sporty and without a logo. I tried similar styles from beauty supply shops but they were too slippery and not effective.
I got the Satin Pirouette in cashew, which is a neutral pretty beige, more pink than brown. The satin finish outside isn't overly stiff or shiny, while the inside is grippy but not sticky. Despite its skinniness, the adjustable band manages to hold down my frizz and flyaways, and stays in place without *any* pulling or pressure (I get headaches from most headbands). My thick, wavy hair instantly looks neat.
I appreciate the thoughtful construction on such a basic and small item. If these were less expensive or sold in sets I would definitely collect more.

Doesn't stay on my head
I don't know why but none of the Lulu headbands stay on my head. So far I've tried the Fly Away Tamer and Swiftly headbands in addition to this one. Can anyone tell me how to keep these things on? It could be that my Asian hair is too slippery? If anyone can provide tricks to keep these on, I'd really appreciate it!!!

Let me start by saying, I do dance, yoga, and I run. I need a headband that stays on. this is the one. I never have to adjust it and feel like the awkward person in the yoga class who is fixing their hair instead of paying attention. Yes, the headband is a little difficult to get on, but once you tighten it, it works perfectly. I bought the black and I am going to buy the cashew next!

Cute and functional
I first fell in love with the Prettiest Pirouette Headband (the one with a little bow on it), but since that one isn't being made anymore, I decided to try this one and I love it!
It stays in place during workouts and looks cute for every day wear, as well!

can handle 30mph wind gusts!
I'm an outdoor runner and I have a love/hate relationship with Lululemon headbands. I love the cute colors but hate that I have to wear them so close to my hairline (an admittedly dorky look) to prevent them from falling off mid-run.
So, I've been testing the pirouette headband lately (adding to my collection of swiftly, flyaway tamer, bang buster, etc., headbands). The pirouette is the only one that stays put in a normal position (read about 1-2 inches away from the hairline) in ALL conditions. Running with wind gusts? Check. Running in the rain? Check. Even jump roping (a notable headband killer)? Check.
I have baby fine hair and need a way to control the wispy strands that inevitably free themselves from my ponytail. This headband does it.
My only gripe is that I wish that whatever the "secret sauce" they use to keep this headband in place (silicone grippers or adjustable feature), they could transfer to the swiftly headband. In the summer, there is nothing like the swiftly for soaking up the sweat.
