Wunder Under Crop

Who knew the Eighth Wonder of the World was actually stretchy crops?

why we made this

We created these crops to be a no-fuss tight for our yoga practice, but we just couldn't stop wearing them. The second-skin fit of the Wunder Under makes it easy to check our alignment and the calf-length leg allows us to keep cool when we sweat.

  • the wide, soft waistband keeps you covered - the only muffin you should have is for breakfast!
  • the gusset is designed so you can reach for your toes without worrying about the camel's
  • chafe-resistant flat seams let you focus on your form
  • stash your keys and gym card in the hidden waistband pocket

Buyer Beware I was so excited when I heard my local store had the black WUs back in stock. On my one day off a week I made it a point to stop by the store to check them out and was really very disappointed. I did a bend over test and sure thing...you could clearly see my thong and the white tag of the pants (along with everything else) through the material. The issue is not that you see the panty lines per se....it's that what you see is a sheerness that shows the color of your skin through the pants. For the fact that the lulu brand is designed with yoga in mind, which requires A LOT of bending and stretching, you would think being able to bend over in the pants would be an important piece. I did not purchase these pants and am about to give up on Lulu bottoms unless they can really get it together. What is so difficult about going back to the old formulas and fabrics? Clearly that is what made this brand so popular to begin with. I know the black has not hit the web yet, but I want those considering a purchase to know, the problem has not been fixed. June 17, 2013
What is on the go with the stitching I bought these pants in the dark blue and light blue stripes for body pump class . Absolutely loved them pants . After the second wear I noticed a long thread hanging from the bum seam , , cut the thread off , hoping it had nothing to do with a main seam . Today I wore them again and there is another thread loose from the bum seam :( . I wash all my lulu clothes on delicate cycle and with detergent for delicate clothes . I am after having a few pieces of clothes that I had to take to the seamstress to get fixed , I refuse to do it again . I will be returning these pants . I cannot be the only one with this problem . Would have got a 5 instead of a 3 only for the stitching . June 16, 2013
Changed for the worse I've been buying the WU crops and full length pants for years and patiently waited through the recall to buy a new pair of black crops for my warm summer yoga class. Needless to say I was thrilled to find them back in stock this week but extremely disappointed to find out that the new luon is still see through and shows sweat... Even in BLACK! While the material felt soft, I'm a petite girl and these pants still showed every slight imperfection on my legs, to the point of being uncomfortable. I've been a loyal Lulu customer for years but am going to have to start buying my yoga pants elsewhere until they change the way these pants are being made. June 16, 2013
All Black Wunder Under I love love love the original WA. I bought several pairs and I wear them all the time. I was sceptic after I heard about the lulu-recall and double and triple checked myself in the mirror doing squats, but my original WU are not see through or shear at all. I went to the lulu store today and the sales person happily told me that they just got in a new batch of black WU. I was super excited because I had been waiting for a new black pair for a while. When I touched them I knew right away that they were not the same WU I have at home. The originals are soft and thick and make my butt look fantastic. The new ones feel much thinner and not as soft. It feels like thin spandex. I tried them on and I felt like they were longer and much higher. They came up almost to my belly button. But then the real terrible thing happened. Just like many other reviewers here, I squatted down and OMG? I could see my underwear, including the stitching detail on it right through the fabric of the pants I used to love so much. It broke my heart. Lulu, stop looking for a new CEO. Instead, please bring back the pants you used to make. The pants that I recommended to everyone and anyone and the pants that blew every competition out of the water. I really don't understand why you are ruining perfectly awesome pants. What a shame. Love I have a few pairs of these crops and love them. When I tried the purple on in dressing room, I had normal hipster panties on and yes, you could see through them a tad when I bent over into a down dog position. BUT, I still bought them because I never wear panties (other than a thong style) under my fitted pants. Not sure who does? And I would agree with some of the other reviewers on here that they are fitted pants so they will show everything if you have it to show. I'm 5'2, 120 pounds and wear a size 4 comfortable in these as I do in most LLL bottoms. I have these in pink, purple, and the charcoal. Love them. June 13, 2013
Amazingly Comfortable I just purchased and wore my first pair of wunder unders today for hot yoga. I did not have any problem with sheerness or sweat spots. I LOVED the color, fit, and how COMFY these crops were. I can't wait to buy more pairs in different colors. I'm hoping the black pairs come back to my store soon! June 12, 2013
Not for any athletic pursuit I was so excited to get the charcoal WU, only to find that they are so thin and see through. Yes, they are sheer too. I have tights that are thicker than these and I wouldn't wear my tights without a skirt...and these are way to expensive for tights. The sheerness issue is NOT over. Yikes! June 11, 2013
All black WU crops Waited several months for stores to get solid black WU crops in house after the material performance issue. Just got home with 2 pairs - size 2 (my usual lulu size) and size 4. Pulled out several pairs of old WU's to compare them to. The new ones still don't stack up to the older ones in terms of opaque-ness and amount of "resistance" in the stretch. Up to this point WUs have been my go-to crop. I typically purchase 4 pairs per year - but am definitely in the market for a replacement at this point. Bummer. June 10, 2013
Great fit and feel but...... It looks like I wet myself! Absolutely AWFUL and embarrassing. I was hoping for so much more for $72. I guess I will not be doing anything but running errands in these. Maybe another color would be better. June 9, 2013
Great color! This review is for the new charcoal wunder under crops. I am 5'3" 108lbs and I bought size 4. I found these TTS. They same are the same length as my older wunder under crops. These are not sheer and my pair is not shiny at all. The material is very smooth and I probably won't wear these to gym when I do weights because they are too slippery but they are fine to run in (I didn't have any sweat spots). Now on the downside, the material is very thin and shows every little flaw. But the color is great. June 9, 2013
