why we made this

We made these loose-fitting crops out of lightweight Swift fabric with two-way stretch to keep us cool and comfortable on our way to yoga class and the gym. We like to throw them on over our shorts or wear them on their own at the studio - the drawstrings at the hem let us customize the length to suit our sport.

Seam ripped the very first day I wore them These pants ripped the very first day they were worn, sewing quality is poor. I wouldn't recommend buying these pants until the company addresses the quality issues. June 15, 2013
Just bought power purple I was so excited to find the power purple studio crops at the Lulu showroom in Grayton Beach Florida (you were out of my size online). i already have three pairs of these crops from years past and they have stood the test of time. I am writing this review to get a date on my purchase. I am wearing these for the first time tomorrow. I really hope this pair does not have waistband issues. These crops have been my absolute favorite, so comfortable and lightweight for summer. Waistband please do not have issues!!!!! On another note, I was so sorry to learn your CEO is leaving......find someone good and bring your stock back up (-: June 14, 2013
Disappointed, Bring back the yoga crop pants I was also very disappointed in these crops. I have the yoga crop pants from last year, wear them all the time and the quality is much better than the studio crop. I bought a pair and returned them as I had the same problem with the rolling waistband and the weird seam at the back. When you try and explain why you are returning them in store it is as if the store staff don't have a clue there are issues. I'm really disappointed in the price increases and the poor quality of the merchandise. Bring back some of the old staples with the good quality and we will start shopping again. June 11, 2013
Not happy :( I am normally a huge lulu supporter and look forward to my visit home to Kelowna a couple times a year for my lulu shop! I was especially looking forward to a new pair of post pregnancy pants!!! Unfortunately I was disappointed... I have had these less than a month and the waist band has folded and does not lay flat ( I noticed this after the first wash) i always s wash lulu's separate and hang to dry. Then within the first week the pants began to pill! I have lulu pants from 8+ years ago that have little to no pilling! Not good June 11, 2013
Very disappointed I tried these crops on in sz 8 black as the store only had a 2 and an 8. The 8 was a bit big for my liking and baggy in the waist and the legs but I know that's the style (compared to the other fitted crops and pants I buy from lulu). I then decided to try a 6 in purple. I found this was the best size for me (even though I have big legs) but since I wanted BLACK and i've been looking for a 6 in black with no luck for some time I asked my friend to just grab me an 8 in black. I got the pants home, took the tag off and despite the inside &outside tag saying 8 this black pair my friend grabbed fits smaller in the legs and waist than the size 6 in PURPLE and its an 8!!. How is this possible? Sizing must be off if 1 pair (sz 8) is baggy in the legs and big in the waist and the other is tight. They still fit me but they don't look great AND to add salt to the wound after 1 wear the waist band folds so they have lived in my closet the last couple week. These pants are cheaply made and I am sad I paid $100 for them. I cannot wear these out. I wish I bought another pair of the mod moves instead. On a good note I did buy some other nice lulu crops for summer. I am just not sure how much longer I can justify spending this type of $ on lulu clothes as this isn't my first disappointing item since I spend lots of $$$$$ at lulu. Waistband issues I was so excited to get these crops for my birthday, the fabric feels great and I thought they would be my go-to crops. No way. After one or two washes the waistband retracted and folded up, never to lie flat again. It is actually folded completely in half permanently, as if I tried to roll it over except I never have. Strange and disappointing. June 11, 2013
Fix the waistband My spring 2012 crops may have been the last of the "good" lot as I have had to return two pairs since due to fault elastic material that literally stabs your skin through the cloth waistband area. Given the number of similar complaints, one would think Lulu would get the hint. Don't waste your money on these until they fix the defect. June 10, 2013
Disappointed with quality I recently ordered the studio crops for a vacation since I love my studio pants that I have had for a few years. I could literally live in my pants so I assumed the crops would be great for warmer weather. Such a disappointment. There were clear threads from the waistband poking me the whole 5 hour flight. Also when I went to stand up the seams that run down the back of the legs had dug into my skin so deeply that it was painful. I had only worn them twice and noticed a snag in the fabric. Sitting on an airplane shouldn't put that much wear and tear on these. The quality has gone down so much that I am not as apt to go on the website daily to see what I will buy next. Lulu should definitely look at these quality issues that have been raised several times. As an aside I walked into the lulu store in La Jolla, CA with my Lucy bag and was immediately centered out by sales staff to see why I had made purchases there and not at Lulu. You can't charge the same prices that you always have for inferior products... lulu has always been known for quality and durability buy this is quickly fading fast. June 9, 2013
great summer casual bottoms Bought these in the soot color recently, absolutely love them! The color goes with everything nicely, and the pant is light weight and comfy, I did size down though to achieve a better look. June 8, 2013
Waist band a huge disappointment These pants are amazingly comfortable but the waistband will fold after only one wash and never straighten out again. It looks lumpy under shirts (casual/workout tanks); in fact, it gives "muffin top" as the fold makes the waist seem wider on the sides because of the lump. So disappointed with all three studio crops I purchased. Not worth the money even if they are comfortable because now they just look ridiculous! I do hand wash all my Lulu items and air dry them. This should not have happened to the waist band on all three crops: $88 x 3 = over-priced Studio "Muffin Top" pants. June 8, 2013
