Original Run: Inspire Crop rocks
The Run Inspire Crop (original) is definitely one of my favourite running crops from LLL. These fit me so comfortably everywhere (size 4 TTS). I don't need to use the drawstring, they don't fall down and there's no having to adjust them during a run. The "second skin" feel (and no chafing) and not having to adjust them allows me to forget about them, which is what I absolutely want. So for me these are technically awesome.
I will repeat what most have said about the Run Inspire original and the Inspire ii's, which is that if you bend over, they are sheer/see through. For me it's not dramatic but I'm aware of it (and yes, I'll crouch to adjust a shoelace versus just bending over).
I do separate out my gear based on the main design purpose so these are for running only, not yoga. As a hardcore runner, I applaud the "second skin" feeling (so get that the sheerness factor when bending possibly cannot be totally prevented) and the zipper pocket for its running design point and convenience and hence, I DON'T wear them (or any running crop/tight) to yoga because the zipper closure would not be comfortable on my lower back. As an aside, I am concerned about the Inspire ii's that replace these and I currently don't have confidence in the quality of the ii's (and some other items). Based on the reviews I have read, they seem too fragile. I know LLL aims to improve items, but I'm not sure what's happening?. For me personally, if the quality goes, I'm not far behind.

Very disappointed
I worn these just for once for a run last week and the seams are already coming apart to my dismay. I was hoping that it would just be extra string from manufaturing but it's not... I could see it unravelling. I am so disappointed. I have another pair of these and they're great which is why I went and bought these. I would recommend them if the seams are better but not with this problem.

so very disappointed.....
Splurged big time and bought these yesterday as my own birthday gift and went for a 5k run tonight pants were great until I noticed the seams were separating. I have 4 kids, work shift work and am expected to return defective product when I only get to the store once a year to begin with?????..... Wasted $86.00 plus tax on a cheaply made product with a fancy name. That's what I get when treating myself. Sorry lulu, unless you can fix this lousy attention to detail without me having to go back to the store.... I'm done spending my hard earned money as this is a repeat from a pair of groove pants I had bought with a gift card. Lost my money and my zen. :( :( :(

awesome, but fragile
these pants are almost EVERYTHING that everyone says they are. they're fantastically comfortable, they're flattering on even those who would rather not wear tight clothes, and they are so comfortable you'll want to wear them to everything. which is what i planned to do. i bought them for marathon training, but also intended to wear them to yoga and the climbing gym. we don't have a Lulu where i live so i had been getting tons of compliments on them. until.... i wore them trail running and a branch caught a snag right on my bum. now there's a little hole that will eventually become a bigger hole and i cannot wear them to everything as planned. i'm really dissapointed. i love the pants, but because they're so expensive i won't replace them with another pair. and would not likely recommend them unless you plan to be careful with them. i run trails and hoped they'd be durable enough, but i think i need to look elsewhere for a new pair of pants :(

awesome running crops
These running crops are awesome! I recently ran the Seattle marathon and decided to get something warmer than shorts. I'd been eyeing these online for a while - I live up north so there aren't any lululemon stores. I didn't want to order online just in case the crops didn't fit well so I decided to wait until I flew down South (2 days before my marathon) to purchase them. I was very nervous about whether they'd do the job of keeping me warm during the marathon, and not having been able to do any of my long runs in them, I was even more nervous. I bought a size 4 (I am 5'2, 114 lbs) and they fit perfect! They are a little longer but I like them that way because they also add warmth. They are very moisture wicking, don't cause any chaffing, and have 3 pockets for you to store your gels/cards/keys/money. I just finished a spin class in them yesterday and they were awesome for that too! I can truly say that I am in love with these crops!

Great running pants
These crops are excellent for running. I have had them for about 6 months now and they are pretty much as good to go as they were when I bought them. In that time, I have used them for almost all my weekend long runs and I have run a marathon in them and a handful of half marathons in them too and no chaffing resulted. I use them in spring and fall and early winter.
I like them because they wick away the moisture, I can store my key and some cash as a back-up transport in the back pocket and they are firm which helps my muscles, particularly around the 30km mark. I have never had an issue of them slipping or falling down. I like the front gel pockets too: I can easily fit a gu gel in them (with the top folded over), though the larger gels like clif or accelerate need to be squished a bit more which sometimes does not work that great, but since I am now solely using gu gels, the gel pockets are perfect.. I am short (under 170 cm or 5 ft 6) so the pant length is more like 5/6 rather than 3/4.

Do they glow or no?
Bought these tights to run in primarily because the fabric feels SO GOOD -- soft, just snug enough. Running in them, I wasn't disappointed. The fabric behind the knees didn't bind, as is sometimes a problem with crops, and they stayed in place well, with the crotch in just the right spot, so no thigh chafing. (Yay!)
I'm not quite smart enough (yet) to figure out how to cinch and tie the continuous drawstring, but I like the idea as I've lost a fair few of those in the laundry!
The only question I had was about the color and the heathered contrast strips on the waist and near the bottom of the legs. (I bought them on sale and the color is listed as COAL/HCOL.) The heathered contrast material appeared to be reflective (always a GREAT thing in running gear), but when I asked the store clerk she said it was not. Still not sure I believe her, as they did seem to shine some when lights hit them on my first evening run, but not enough for me to feel comfortable that I was wearing a truly reflective tight. That's too bad, because that would have been the ultimate functional extra in a running tight, which ultimately get worn before the sun goes up or after it's gone down.

best running crop ever
I am literally begging you to keep carrying this product. I went in to the Lululemon in my neighborhood recently and discovered they wouldn't be carrying the original run:inspire crop but only the run:inspire crop II and I was devastated. I started wearing the run:inspire last year and have not even looked at another product since. I have several pair and ordered a bunch more when I heard that they might not be available any more. I tried on the II version at the store and was disappointed to find that every little flaw shows through. That never happened with the original version. The original makes my butt look so fantastic I've worn them out and about on pre-run errands. They also fit like a glove and never slip down during obstacle course/mud runs. PLEASE keep carrying these, there is no other product out there like them.

best gear ever
I never want to take these off! I'm going to buy 2 more pairs this week to rotate. They don't cause me to over heat even running in the Aussie sun. They're true to size and I can wear them all day and they don't ride up or fall down.
I have an unhealthy affection for power luxtreme :) I love these tights. I love the run:inspireII also.
