good bag
I bought this at an outlet so I was willing to risk trying it out and was pleasantly surprised. It is roomy enough to hold my Manduka Prolite mat, 1 liter water bottle, mat towel, hand towel and still a little room to spare. It sounds like most of the complaints about the bag have been the seams unraveling so you may want to double check them before you purchase/use this? I have been using it 3 times a week for a month now and haven't had any issues.

fantastic but...
This bag is fantastic but the zipper is on the bottom when you are wearing it so if you want to get something out of the bag you have to take it off, set it down, flip it over and then open it, otherwise you'll end up dumping all of your belongings on the ground. That's a pretty big con when you're fishing for your keys after a long class and the thought of doing one more malasana (squat) to set your bag down and rifle through for your keys is too much to think about after a strong yoga class.
Aside from that the bag is great. I can fit everything from my travel mat, change of clothes, towel, keys, wallet and make-up and still have a bit of room.
Great bag lulu but move the zipper to the top next time.

Awesome bag!
I just got this bag in the bright red (Currant?) color and took it to spin and yoga tonight. It was wonderful! Not only did it hold my normally heavy The Mat, but I also tucked in a hand towel, spin socks, wallet, phone, keys, No Limits Tank to change into, etc.
I'd have loved to have had a little key/ID pocket but I still really like this bag.

Excellent, functional tote!
I bought the "pigment blue manifest snow emboss" (whew) colour in-store a year ago and have been happily using it since for weekly yoga classes and to store my mat when I'm travelling. The construction and fabric has proved very durable and doesn't have me worrying about a wet change of clothes if it drizzles. The fabric does tend to pick up dust off the floor pretty easily, but the waterproof nature of it makes it easy to wipe clean with a damp towel. It's light and slim and easy to carry and yet very roomy - I can easily pack my mat (the inner elastic straps hold it in place perfectly), a 1L water bottle, a change of clothes, a small towel and my wallet without stressing any seams. The long zippered opening makes getting my mat in and out quick and easy. I did debate the purchase for a while at the time as it seemed to be a hefty price for such a simple looking tote - it's worth every penny!
My only suggestion for improvement would be that I'd have appreciated a zipper or velcro closure on one of those inside pockets so that I could have a place to easily stash change for those post-yoga smoothies. Smaller items like keys do tend to slide out of those pockets and jangle around at the bottom of the bag.
All in, this bag makes the to-and-from a breeze. I love taking my tote to yoga!

DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
I got this yoga mat bag this summer. I really LOVE the nice blue colour.
I've been using it about 3 months (3 times a week) for carrying my The Mat. Several days ago, I noticed a small rip at the top of the bag.(Please see pics I attached) It's small, but it's getting bigger! I've been using my bag gentle because I wanted this bag to last for a long time, but it got a rip just 3 month of use!
Lululemon product is NOT CHEAP because of the HIGH QUALITY and DURABILITY, but this bag is totally LOW QUALITY and FRAGILE!
I cannot believe it!!!!

A Hot Mess of a Bag
I loved this bag...for two days. After the first two days, the zipper constantly gets caught in the fabric, so now the fabric is fraying and zipper all wonky from trying to get it unstuck all the time. The construction is shoddy and I couldn't return it because I had clearly used it (clearly, because the zipper broke). Yuppie Yoga Fail.

Super tote!!
I purchased this bag after realizing that a strap just wasn't going to cut it. It fits my manduka eKO mat which I usually wrap with my eQua mat towel for ease of sliding in and out of the bag plus an additional sweat towel. The pockets are great, I usually throw a small Vera Bradley wristlet in there and it holds my iphone, keys, and ID perfectly. Maybe a zippered pocket would be a nice add on.
The little side air vents are great for those times when you forget to take your mat out of your bag right away! My only complaint has been the metal buckle. I try to be as quiet as possible when entering class as not to disturb others but sometimes I'll forget and put my bag down with the buckle facing the floor--it tends to make a large CLUNK.

sturdy bag to use daily
i like my new yoga tote, but preferred the less shiny fabric used to make my previous yoga tote
being as it is suppose to be "unisex"
and i think the hardware makes it a bit more masculine
but it always makes a big "clunking" sound when i put it down onto the floor of a peaceful yoga studio
so ive become prone to being extra cautious when i put my bag down after taking out my mat ...
and yes, a two way zipper would make your yoga totes amazing !
2 way zippers on any of your jackets that i own too would be an improvement too !!

Simple & handy
I have both the namaste yoga tote and yoga tote II. Both are large enough for me to insert my lulu Mat, a 32 oz water bottle, towel and extras. I love that the tote allows for air circulation and keeps the mat clean during transit and storage. The light weight water resistant fabric is great, and the pattern (words) on the blue namaste yoga tote is also unisex. I agree that more unisex colors and patterns are desired. The webbing strap is nicer/stronger than the removable strap. (It would be wonderful if lulu also made extra straps with padding to be used on a variety of bags.) A two way zipper would allow easier mat access and a moderate sized outside zippered pocket would be lovely for quick access to those essential extras.
