why we made this

Scuba diving in the chilly waters of British Columbia taught us valuable lessons about the benefits of a deep hood and a well-fitted jacket. We designed this cozy hoodie to keep us toasty post-dive or pre-Downward-Dog.

You'll get what you pay for I just purchased my first scuba hoodie in aquamarine and am already in love. To keep things concise: Love: - The long sleeves. They keep my arms and hands warm and I can tell that the elbow part won't stretch out with use. - The big hood. Will keep my hair and face dry while enjoying the outdoors. - The "love always" inscription inside the hood. A nice touch. - The thickness of the fabric. This is a not a hoodie that will stretch out over time and make your tummy look larger because it no longer holds it shape The bottom band that goes around the hips could be better if it had a little more spandex. It's a bit looser than I'd like, but that may be because I'm between sizes (I bought a 6, I'm 5'8 and 130 lbs). Can't wait to find my new favourite colour. February 19, 2012
Comfortable, coozy staple I've been eyeing a scuba hoodie for over a year but was hesitant because of the price. I finally got one, and I love it. I live in NY so it's great for winter. The hood stays in place when zipped up and keeps the wind out. I'm petite (5' / 100 lbs) and normally wear a 2, but I'm really glad I sized up to 4 in the scuba. The 2 was super snug in the shoulders and I felt confined in it. The 4 is so comfortable that I wear it lounging around the house and when running errands. The lilac color is nice because the logo on the hood doesn't stand out so much. I don't like when the contrast between the color of the hoodie and logo is so great - I'd feel like I was a walking advertisement wearing that. February 19, 2012
Beautiful Color When the price of the scuba hoodie went up to $108 I vowed I would only buy on sale. I stuck true to my word until the aquamarine color came out. Will splurge occasionally if the color is nice. Come on lulu, you should not have raised the price. Was already high. That said is a nice hoodie with good quality. Aquamarine is to die for!! Too small I'm really disappointed with the Scuba hoodie. I take a 12 in pants at Lulu, but I can barely get the hoodie over my forearms or elbows, let alone have it be a comfortable fit. I don't know why this is sized so small, especially when people typically wear a sweater this thick over other clothes after a work out. Please make a scuba hoodie that is relaxed fit. Not everybody who shops at Lulu is a tiny size, nor wants things to be skin tight. I loved the dip dye one - too bad there is no way it would be practical or comfortable to wear in the least. Did lulu changed their sizing in the last year? I just received my deep coal silver spoon slub salt & pepper scuba hoodie in the mail and was so excited! My only complaint is that it is a bit small. I have two other scuba hoodies purchased a year ago that fit perfectly in a size 4, so I ordered a size 4 when I saw this colour on sale. But it is smaller than my older size 4! I even held them together and there is a difference of about an inch, which is enough to make my new one feel a bit too snug. I am disappointed because I love the colour of this hoodie, but since I purchased it on sale, I can not exchange :( My advice would be to size up on this item! I also bought the Stride Jacket *Brushed in a 4 and that one fits perfectly. For reference, I'm 5'4 athletic build, about 130 pounds. February 17, 2012
favourite sweater I love this hoodie. I have a scuba hoodie from a few years ago which I love but this new hoodie is even better. It is longer than the previous one. It is very cozy and washes & dries great. It is a great sweater to wear to & from a workout or on the weekend with jeans. I'm going to get another one. February 15, 2012
Best winter hoodie ever I loved the 1st scuba hoodie that I purchased 3 months ago so much that I now own 3 of them if different colors (sparkle, stripe and a plain one). At first I couldn't justify the $$$ for a casual hoodie but I found out soon enough that it was well worth it. Wearing it is really like being wrapped in a warm big hug! I had to retire my north face fleece jackets this winter because I wear my scubas all the time. They're super comfy, fit well (i love the stretchy side panels) and look great. For reference size 4 fits me perfectly and I'm 5'3", 115 lbs. February 12, 2012
Comfy and Warm! When I first went to lulu lemon a few weeks ago I fell in love with this jacket and the comfiness of it..CAme back today to find it on sale! I am SO happy and currently wearing this jacket while typing. It is super soft and warm for when I walk my dogs in the rain..I also love the thumbholes for extra warmth :) February 11, 2012

Fluffy and warm This is my first Scuba Hoodie - I have several pullovers, vests, Define jackets, and other styles. I'm a true Lulu addict. I could not resist this hoodie in the dark indigo/aqua multi-stripe. Its not online but in some stores. I was surprised and happy about how thick and heavy this jacket is. Perfect for cozying up after tennis or running. The colors and pattern is great and I like the fitted yet roomy fit. For a relatively bulky jacket (compared to my dance studio or define) this is a sleek, fitted look that is very flattering. Lulu delivers again. February 10, 2012
