why we made this

We made these shorts to keep us feeling comfortable and cool on training runs and on race day. The lightweight Swift fabric is moisture-wicking and the soft Luxtreme waistband and continuous drawcord ensure a proper fit so we can streak past our personal records. Ándale!

SO comfortable I used to think my Nike running shorts were comfortable...until I tried these shorts on. They're SO cute, comfortable, flattering, andd don't give you a muffin top...like at all. I have a bigger butt and hips than most people and usually wear an 8 in Lululemon's crop pants and had to go up to a 10 in these and they fit perfectly! They're a great length and great for running and have some spacious little pockets. Definitely will be coming back for more of these. June 17, 2013
4-way stretch is great I am a big time review reader. The best reviews for these shorts are the ones where people let you know which colors and patterns are 4-way and which ones are 2-way. This from what I have read is the biggest issue with these shorts. There is usually the deal where pattern is 2-way and solid is 4-way but that is not always true. I am a fan of the 4-way which does fit VERY differently than 2-way. Question which I hope will get answered. Why can't they be separated online. Lulu online separates lazer cut, silver, lux and recently a back pocket. Why can't you separate the 2-way and 4-way? June 17, 2013

MY FAV SHORTS EVER! I own several colors in these shorts. I'm size 4 in all bottoms, 105 lbs., 5'. Love these for crossfit, walking, hiking and running. Very flattering shorts all around. Haven't used it for yoga though. June 15, 2013
Amazing and flattering shorts!! I've never been a shorts person, but I needed something flattering and motivating to wear in the warm summer months. After researching all Lulu shorts, I decided to give these a try because they are designed for running (with the zippered pocket on the waistband). LOVE the no muffin top wide soft waistband!! It's a design quality that makes these shorts so flattering. I took a chance with ordering a size 4 of a limited edition waistband design for spring 2013 because I didn't want to risk my size not being available at my two local stores. The size 4 fits me perfectly, similar to the model. I also bought the black quilt striped waistband design. I love these soooo much!! I'm a long-distance runner, so having flattering shorts is a requirement. I definitely noticed the difference in two-way stretch and four-way stretch at the store, with the solids and prints, and I did not love the two-way stretch. June 15, 2013
LOVE the shorts HATE the sizing inconsistencies These are amazing shorts and super comfortable. However, I have yet to buy a pair of speed shorts that have consistent sizing. I always size up on my speed shorts, which is fine, but sometimes I have to try on multiple pairs of the same size and color to find the correct fit because they are all cut differently. This unfortunately deters me from purchasing online, which is a shame, because my closest Lulu store is 30 miles away June 13, 2013
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. I love these shorts! I have FOUR pairs (so far) and I can honestly say I wear them everywhere! However, I have yet to run in them. ?? I mainly use them for everyday errand runs and for my WOD. They are flattering, flexy & VERY comfy. I am a big booty (waist 29, hips 40), 5'4 solid, yet curvy gal and I usually wear an 8 in Lulu, but I went up to a 10 in these for a looser fit. Honestly if Lulu carried a 9 theyd be perfect. But the drawstring really helps in keeping them on my waist. My only complaint, is that I did buy a stripped blue/black pair from the "we made too much" area and they were a bit stiffer than my other ones. ??? But that doesnt change my opinion about these shorts being FAB! June 11, 2013
BEST. SHORTS. EVER. These shorts are literally the cutest, most comfortable shorts ever. I have so many pairs that I wear all the time. In fact, I'm wearing them right now. ;) I have long legs, so they appear to be very short, but I think they're great for a workout class. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! Especially the black pair. Best running shorts EVER I have tried a variety of running shorts and these are the only ones that work for me. I like shorts with a low rise and short inseam, and it seems that every pair that I tried had either too much fabric or was too baggy-- that is, until I found the Speed Shorts. They are super light weight, wonderfully comfortable. They do not ride up at all and I never have to pull on them to adjust them. I don't even feel them. I own 4 pairs and am always on the lookout for other cute colors. One thing to be aware of, though, is that they come in different fabrics, not just colors. For reference, I am 5'8", 122 lbs and an athletic figure. I get these in a size 4 and they are perfect. I have tried the size 2 as well, which looks better for wearing around, but is a little too snug for a comfortable running short. June 6, 2013
running shorts I really like my new running shorts. They are very comfortable and it really feels like you are not wearing anything when you run! The only problem with mine is that the part on the back that separates on the outer thigh/ butt part sometimes gets stuck and shows the inner lining or my leg. Not a huge deal but I thought worth mentioning. June 6, 2013
