why we made this

This tank's thin racerback straps allow for open, unrestricted movement in the shoulders while the body-skimming fit is a welcome feature for those of us who have set our intention on a handstand. No need to tuck this tank in, the Power Y stays put.

My favorite Lulu tank! I bought my first Power Y tank a few years ago and absolutely love it! It's a staple and I now own a few of them. Perfect for yoga and for additional support during higher impact activities I pair it with a sports bra. Highly recommend! February 21, 2012

First lulu purchase!! I finally made it to my local store and wanted to buy EVERYTHING. I love this top because it frees my shoulders and arms for yoga and has a built in bra (I hate wearing sports bras to yoga). I am 5'6 and a 34C and I usually wear medium tops. I was in between getting a 6 and an 8 in this- they both fit, just differently. The 6 was tighter across my chest and shorter. I felt the 8 gave me more freedom to move and I liked the longer length. I wore this top to hot yoga on the same day. 2 complaints- in downward dog I felt like my boobs were going to pop out, and the top kept riding up. It is slightly loose around my tummy area- maybe I should have gone with the size 6. I still LOVE this top though and might even wear it with jeans in the summer time! Will definitely be going back to Lululemon. February 20, 2012
never need to tug and pull to adjust it very flattering and i love this because it shows off my strong back. I don't have much in the way of chest but love showing off my back. this is the ideal tank for that. I wear this for running, spinning, and other cardio type of classes. Comfy, Great Support, and No Sweat Marks!! Very comfortable and flattering. Great support when going cardio interval training - although its a bit bouncy (32 D) but I feel secure and that the girls will not fall out. Although this shirt was designed for yoga, my experience with it during cardio exercise was i had to keep pulling the shirt down February 17, 2012
Too tight! Sizing is way off for this tank :( I ordered this tank and just received it today and im disappointed. I am 5'8" 132 lbs and the size 6 was like a size 4. I couldn't even get it over my shoulders and once I got it on it created bulge and I don't have bulge. I always wear 6 in my tanks so I figured that would work in this one too. Not the case...now im having to sell it if I can to get my money back as it's no return or exchange. However, I have a huge collection of lululemon so I just learned my lesson that I won't be buying anymore of the Power Tanks again as they are too fitted for my liking. I will stick with what I know looks good, keep up the good work lululemon, I am a huge fan! February 16, 2012
Almost perfect Power Y Tank is my go-to tank top for my yoga classes (hot yoga and other yoga). It's tight fitting and the straps don't get in the way of yoga postures. However, I find the tank top to be a little low cut and it seems to show more cleavage than I'd prefer during yoga. (FYI, I'm 36B) I like the support bra and the insert cups. And even during hot yoga, the sweats are not very visible on the tank top, whether I'm wearing dark or light colours. I own about 4 or 5 different colours in this tank top and wear it pretty much every day. Have not experienced any peeling after many many wear and washes. (I always wash in the mesh garment bag in delicate cycle with non-cotton based clothing) February 16, 2012

Just what I was looking for --> I wanted a comfortable tank for home that I could also wear working out and this tank is perfect. I'm a nursing mom, and I wanted sometime with "easy access" that didn't require a bra. This was a great choice and well worth the $29. I'll be buying the Power Y in black as well. I don't think it would have enough support for running without another bra (I'm a 34B) but I wouldn't expect any shelf bra to do that. February 13, 2012
Not for the flat chested in the gym Let me start by saying that this is a really flattering top; it is just not very functional for someone who is flat chested in a gym setting. I've never used it for yoga so maybe it works great for that. At the gym, the top gapes in the chest when I do most moves with the weights (lat pulls, cable rows, dumbbell press, etc.) It was quite revealing and embarrassing! This top fits tighter than the CRB (a 4 is perfect for me) so I originally sized up to a 6, but that was WAY too revealing during weights so I purchased my next color in a 4. Again, I had the same gaping problem in the chest when I was lifting weights! There is no way I could fit into a 2. I think the top has a very flattering cut so I wear them on leg and cardio only days, but for this price I had hoped for more. February 11, 2012
