Different colors don't fit the same.
I'm usually strictly an online lulu shopper because the nearest store is 3 hours away. But, I recently made the trip to a store to try on items I'd been eyeing for awhile. One was the boogie short. I tried on the heathered ultra violet in a 2 and it fit perfectly. I grabbed the wee are from space combo in a 2 (thinking it would fit the same) and checked out without trying it on. When I got home and went to wear the shorts a few days later, I noticed the wee are from space is MUCH MUCH tighter than the heathered ultra violet (like I can barely get them on!). I was pretty disappointed. I can still wear them, but it's a struggle to get them on, the material isn't as stretchy, and they ride up terribly, much more than the heathered ultra violet. They're the same size and the same short, so why the difference? Sad. :(

Fabulous shorts!
I bought a pair of these earlier this week and loved them so much I went back and bought another pair today. They are so incredibly comfortable! I find that the cut is flattering which is amazing because they are most certainly short. I usually wear a size 4 in lulu bottoms but I bought the size 6 due to the length. I was happy I went up a size.

The best shorts...ever
I LOVE these shorts. In fact, I am wearing them right now! They are super duper comfortable and stylish. I love how they dont have a super low rise too. They make my legs look extremely long, and as a dancer that is a great thing! I really wish they came in more colors, though. Maybe some grays, purples, or blues. :)

Like these shorts
I really like these shorts. They are very comfortable. They are short, but so am I so I don't mind :) the fabric is very soft and I love the various colors the boogie shorts come in. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because the shorts ride up a little. I think the shorts would be absolutely perfect if there was a little bit of that tape that is on the inside of the very similar bike shorts. Even with this one change I would make ... I still love wearing my boogie shorts :-D

my favorite lulu shorts
I love these shorts! I bought them for hot yoga but I've found so many occasions to wear them. They're great for lounging around the house or as pj's as they're really flattering on my legs and butt. I've also worn them (with a sports bra) in lieu of a bikini when I need something that will definitely stay on in the water and not chafe - like for whitewater rafting, surfing, and cliff diving (nothing too big to brag about, but even several feet can rip my normal bikini bottoms off!) I bet those are some uses that Lulu's designers weren't thinking about when they made these shorts - but that they work GREAT for!

Perfect for any workout
As a gymnast with hips and thighs, it's hard for me to find a pair of shorts that I can throw on over a leotard and not have to fidget with during practice. Other shorts are too loose around my hips or too tight around the thighs. These shorts, though, have the perfect marriage of waist and leg that make them comfortable and make me feel more confident during my workout.

Great for bikram
I partnered these with the deep breath bra for a perfect bikram outfit. They provide just enough coverage without riding up. I have large athletic thighs and found the coverage to be perfect for bikram although I would shy away from wearing them for other activities.

perfect shorts for yoga
These shorts are AMAZING! I use them for my power vinyassa (hot) practice and they are the best pair I have ever owned. They don't ride up or down (I have "childbearing" hips, so that's important!) and are so non-constrictive it feels like I'm wearing nothing! I'm not always wondering what my waistband is up to now...I can just focus on my practice. Be warned that they are very short, perhaps not the best thing to wear en route to class if you live near people, but the length is part of what makes them so amazing, especially for hip-opening stretches where every extra bit of mobility counts. They also don't create any extra love handles, so they look great with just a sports bra!
I have an hourglass figure, so I sized up to a 6 from my regular dress size 4, which worked well.

exactly what i expected
I've had my eye on these for about 6 months and finally purchased them. I live in Texas so our summers get quite hot. I bought these shorts for that reason exactly. In the summer when it's tempting to run naked, these are the closest thing that won't get me arrested. And they are exactly as I hoped. Fit just right and they never rode up during the run. I will be purchasing many more of these as the summer approaches.

Looks great, just not on me
I really like the style when it's worn by other people, but I think my body shape is just not compatible. I'm 5'5" 120lbs, and I went with my normal lulu bottoms size, 6. The waistband is too tight for my liking (little bit of muffin-top), and the fit is nowhere as snug as I'd like it to be on my upper thighs. The 8 was just too loose everywhere. I thought the 6 was fine in the store, but after a few weeks I found that the weird fit around my upper thighs causes a bit of a problem in Cobbler's Pose... eeek.
All in all these are super cute and look great on most people, but I'm more comfortable with the length and waistband fit of the Reverse Groove Short. I've kept this pair of shorts just for hanging around the house on hot days and for wearing under short skirts/dresses.
