Astro Pant (Regular) 4.3 5 328 333
Great! I really love these pants! They're super comfortable and very flattering in the behind and belly area. Although I wouldn't recommend these to anyone who has pets because the fabric of the pants really attracts hair and other fuzzy things. I love the layered waistband, so I can leave it up or roll it down as needed, and it always stays put. I'm about 5'2" and the size 4s were about two inches too long for me, and since I don't live near a store I had to pay extra to have them hemmed by a tailor. I really wish lulu would come out with a shorter length of pant for the more vertically-challenged of us, I've noticed that they've catered to those more blessed in this area with taller lengths, so why not help us out? But overall these are some really great pants and are definitely worth the money May 11, 2012
Astro Pant is Average I purchased the astro pant because I loved the cut around the waistline (it dips down a little in the front, but still hugs your sides). Also, I wanted a pair of long exercise pants that weren't black. Overall, the astro pant is very comfortable and also flattering (not many gray pants are!). I didn't have the same pilling problems as others (wash on delicate setting and air dry). My issues were: 1.) If you are a fitness instructor, the astro pant is not as good for teaching when you use a microphone clipped to the pant (it flops around a lot because the top of the pant isn't as sturdy). 2.) For me, it does have a tendency to bunch up in the crotch area a bit, which makes these the "last" pants I go to once all my other exercise clothes are dirty. (This only happens on occasion). Fabulous fit, frustrating fabric. I loved the fit & feel of these pants so much that I'd planned to invest in a second pair... glad I didn't. After the 3rd or 4th careful wash -- in cool water with a small amount of mild detergent, then gently rolled in a towel to get excess water out before drying flat; I'd read previous reviews complaining of problems with the fabric, & I wasn't going to take any chances! -- the pants became pilled, and it was impossible to remove any fuzz/pet hair/stray fibers. Worse, the fabric actually audibly crunches and sort of sticks together... so odd. Never had that happen with any other synthetic fabric. I could still wear them around the house & they'd be comfortable, but I cannot wear them out & about or to yoga -- they just look too shabby. And honestly I can't even bring myself to put them on... they've been gathering dust at the back of the closet because they just make me too sad! We had a few great months together, but it's just too much to pay for too short a wear. May 5, 2012
Love these pants! I absolutely love the Astro pant! They're extremely comfortable and functional, look great, and I can get away with wearing them for errands and so on after the gym. I'm also so glad for a yoga pant with a narrower hem sweep. I can't stand flared pants, gym attire included. The only downer is that the black attracts all kinds of fuzz and hair - more so than any of my other Luon clothes (including the heathered grey in these pants). It's not a big deal if I just wear them to the gym, but I don't like wearing them around the house too much for that reason. Luckily, they wash well so if they do get fuzzy (or chalky when climbing) it's not a big deal. One thing I can't figure out is how my 5'4" self needs "tall" pants. The regular ones are about an inch too short (they'd be fine for yoga when you're not wearing shoes, but look silly with shoes on), so I have to buy tall and get them hemmed. Overall though, I love these pants. Own 2 pairs already and plan to buy more! April 26, 2012
Comfy but not the best quality I bought my first pair of these in december and I have to say I'm not that impressed with the quality. The pants are very comfortable but after the first time I wore them I noticed some pilling. For the price I paid for these this shouldn't have happened. This item definately needs to be improved. love love LOVE These were my first ever Lulu purchase, and I still think they might have been my best :) The rise is a little higher, which I like, because they were the first pair of running crops/pants I'd ever purchased that I could run in without them falling down (just got the Run a Marathon Crops--they pass the test too!). I've tried the Groove pants and personally think the straighter leg on the Astro is more flattering. I need the talls (hemmed) so please Lulu add more sizes and colors in the tall online! LOVE, can i say LOVE?, these pants!! I LOVE these pants! They were my first Lulu piece and I am seriously hooked! Great for running, yoga, and just around - I lived in these pants for the week after I got them. They are tight in areas that need to be tight and forgiving in those that need it (i.e. muffin tops). My husband also loves them for what it does to the behind :). For specs, I am 5'1", 105lbs, and ordered a size 2. PERFECT. I have two pairs and am now pondering a third... April 25, 2012
Don't understand the negative reviews? I love theese pants almost more than the groove pants! The straight legs are wayyy better for running and being active in than the flare groove pant. The waist band is very flatering they don't give muffin top on me being a size 2 or even my mom a size 10. Awesome pants! April 22, 2012
ehh The material is very nice and the tall length is great, but it hugs the crotch too much, I'm constantly pulling them down, wouldn't recommend them. April 18, 2012
never again!!!! i bought these in Vancouver on vacation from northern Canada and decided to try astro pants after being a fan of the groove pants, never again. They constantly fell and i had to grab them by the waist while running and they pilled so much on the inner thighs. I will always wear groove pants. I am 5'2, 160 pounds, 34dd and a 6 in lululemon pants. I do not recommend. April 17, 2012
