moisture-wicking, four-way stretch Luon® fabric is breathable and cottony soft - we love this high-performance fabric for its serious stretch and recovery
lightweight, stretchy and moisture-wicking, this fabric holds you in and breathes at the same time, making it perfect for all kinds of sweaty business
Heads up – this twist on our signature Luon fabric has all the properties we love (moisture wicking and four-way stretch) with its own unique fit and feel.
why we made this
We designed this lightweight tank with thin racerback straps to allow for open, unrestricted movement in the shoulders. The tight fit is a welcome feature for those of us who have our intention set on a handstand – just because we're inverted doesn't mean our tank should be.

The Black Power Y is great, but others...
I have 3 of the Power Y tanks. Bought one last year, thought it was a bit snug and thick, but OK. Bought the regular black Power Y few weeks ago and LOVE it! Slightly lighter material (or so it feels and girls at store tell me). However, I bought it in the mint green and it feels snug and thicker like the one bought last year? Was told only the black color is a slightly thinner material?
Would LOVE for all colors of the Power Y to feel like the blank one! It feels slightly lighter material, still good support and coverage, but seems to give a little better in weight lifting and/or yoga moves. Overall just more comfortable. Please, please, please change all Power Y's to be like the black fabric!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these tank tops. I have four- two black, one purple, and one mint green. They fit really well up top with just enough support. Plus I recently learned that you can get these tanks hemmed in store as well. So if the longer fit isn't your thing, they can take up the hem a two or three inches!
The only problem I have with them is that my lighter tank- the mint coloured one has started to loose colour as I wash it. I don't use bleach when I wash any of my clothes and I follow strict procedures when I wash my lulu gear in particular but for some reason, there has been weird streaking on my tank two or three shades lighter than the original colour. (and it's not like I've obsessively washed it either) I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the dye they use for their lighter coloured tank tops but its frustrating because these tanks are on the steep side. I have no problem with the darker coloured ones though! A great tank overall! The new ribbed ones in darker colours for the fall look really nice too!

I love the Y tank it's so comfortable! Can you please make this top in the solid Magenta color? My tennis team needs some Lulu tank tops with the solid Magenta color for our team uniform.

Extremely Disappointed With This ONE! :(
I have been a lover to the Power Y Tank in a size 4 (recommended to be by the sales person), and this purchase has fully left a sour taste. I purchased the Power Y Tank in "wee are from space neon pink opal" to incorporate PINK in my outfit for the weekend to end women's cancers 2014 (a 60KM walk) in Montreal. After wearing it for a full day of walking (32 KM) in the sunshine, and heat, I came home to find a serious rash/remains of chaffing along the outer edge of where the tank cuts below the arm pit (on both sides). I was absolutely furious! I was supposed to be wearing a Power Y Tank on day two as well (in Black), and had a massive rash/burn from the fabric. I must say, I own a lot of Lululemon pieces and this has never ever happened to me with any other product. I am super annoyed, that on day two in the sun, I was so bothered and irritated with the itchiness/discomfort of what happened on day one. Lululemon products are generally very comfortable, and I am always the first to promote their products, but this time around, I am on unhappy walker!

Great for us tall women
Lulu is the only athletic company that I have came across that caters to tall women and I love it!!! This tank is the perfect length to layer with and to wear on its own. I got a size 8 and I am 6 feet & 160 pounds. Definitely recommend it. I got the white one.

runs long and tight!
the shirt itself is really cute, but runs really long. I could wear it as a dress. Im going to wear it for tennis, so it needs to be hemmed a lot. I am very petite, and got a size 2 which is really tight on me. Its also kind of hard to get on with the built in pads.

I have several of the old ones, fortunately, because the new ones are way too long. They don't even look good on the tall models in the photos. The CRB's are also too long. The only tank that I can buy now is the Run Swiftly tank. I hope Lululemon won't make that longer too.

Disappointed in comparison with older versions
I have two of these tanks circa 2007 or 2008, when they still made an iPod nano pocket in the shelf bra. They're incredible and I still wear them all the time. I've always wanted to buy a solid black version, and wasn't interested in the Light Luon versions as they were way too thin. This weekend I purchased a black one in my normal size, a 6 (5'4", 135 pounds).
While I will be keeping it since it's a lot better than some of the other tanks, I'm not impressed at all in comparison with the older ones I have. The new one has considerably thinner fabric, it's not as supportive (I'm a 34D and normally could wear this without a sports bra comfortably), the straps are too long and keep flipping and twisting. I'm also irritated how they're really increased the length of the top - as a girl with a short torso it basically covers my bum now, which doesn't work well with most pants.
If these were as good quality as older versions, I would buy them in every colour. Sadly, I have no interest in getting these altered (shortening the straps, hemming the bottom) on my own dollar to make these even close to comparable. I am glad they are making more luon versions available in stores as opposed to the light luon, which for me is practically unwearable.
This top still looks great, the lines are pretty unbeatable, but I KNOW this top has been made better in the past.

i bought this tank on sale in the clear mint color and it's great! i appreciate the fact that it comes with pads for the chest area because it would have looked odd with another sports bra underneath. Keep in mind that these are significantly longer than other tanks!

Shrinks - just buy one size bigger
I really liked this top at first. But similar to a review here, it shrunk when I put it in the wash. I have quite a few lulu tops and I'm definitely a size 8 but I feel with the Power Y tanks, you have to get one size bigger.
Also, I don't know if this happened to anyone else but the thread on the hem is beginning to loosen.
