Pace Rival Skirt *2-way Stretch (Regular)
prefer this to the pacesetter
I just got this skirt because I bought the pace setter last year and it just seemed so stiff and too short. This one is great. I like the fabric and it is fitted nicely. I am normally a size 4 in the tights but I chose a size6 because the 4 pulled across the p ubic bone and looked weird. I am 5'5" and 120 lbs, just for reference. I love the length and the shorts underneath are very comfortable for me. I don't run anymore but would run in this skirt. I haven't washed it yet but the fabric seems like it will require a delicate wash with other like fabrics.

Im a distance runner and have worn only Lulu skirts and shorts for many many years. I'm 5'7.5 ish.. 140 lbs.. and wear a 6 in all Lulu skirts. I ordered the original Blue skirt that quickly sold out. Unfortunately I was injured and couldn't try it out for over a month so I got rid of all receipts. I'm very disappointed in this skirt. The stitching is quit tight. The lining shorts are very much smaller than any other skirt I own from Lulu. I hate to see a sudden inconsistency in Lulu's sizing. I've depended on their sizing for years and often order online.
Hate to have to go to a store to try on skirts because the company isn't using consistent sizing!

Like print - will look good with fushia top
For reference I am size 6 - 130lbs 5'4" - i wear size 4 in pacesetter but wear 6 in this style. I just received the palm print one today. I also have the neon green one with light grey stripe. I love style - different from pacesetter. Just have to watch the 2 way stretch and 4 way stretch. The difference in the fabrics (swift vs ultra swift). The 2 way stretch is the swift which is stiffer - so the skirt tends to puff out a bit compared to softer fabric of the 4 way stretch. The palm print is black and off-white - not a true white. The shorts are black and white wide stripes - i am not crazy about the shorts. I wanted to wear bright solid colour tops with it. I already own a black 4way stretch one to wear with patterned tops. LOL everything has to match! I love the black 4 way stretch skirt - it is same style but pleats lay flatter as fabric isn't quite so stiff/thick.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE - Marathon Worthy!
I've been collecting running skirts from lululemon for quite some time now and have quite a few favorites that have not made a return to their production at my dismay. I've been getting bored with the Pacesetter and have also been a little turned off by the fact that they seem to have changed the sizing on the last several I've purchased. When I saw the release of the Pace Rival Skirt I didn't hesitate! I ordered one in ever color they produced in both the 2-way and 4-way stretch!!! I always wear a size 6 in lululemon skirts & shorts and found with the Pace Rival Skirt, the 8 fits a lot better! I wore the mint stripe 2-way stretch this past weekend for a full marathon and can honestly say that it was PERFECT! I had no chafing and no issues with it moving on me. I received nothing but compliments from everyone who saw me at the race! It's fun, comfortable, flattering and very very flirty! Please keep producing these! I'd LOVE to see it in Pow Pink or a similar pink!!! I can' say enough good things about this skirt!
For ref: 5'1", ~128lbs
Once I get the official race photos, I will try to come back and update my review with a picture.

Not a replacement for the pacesetter
I have more pacesetters than I can count. Looking for something different and hoped I had found it. The skirt is very stiff and the pleats in the front bunch up funny. Looked more like a kilt than a running skirt. Too bad. The color/pattern was really nice.

Fast Cat skirt's TWIN!
I love the fit and style of this Pace Rival...which is similar to the Fast Cat skirts from 2013. It's very comfortable especially on the waist, and it doesn't give me any muffin top :)
Wish there are more fun colors though!

Had to size up!
I am a 2 in most Lululemon bottoms, including the Pace Setter Skirt. Always. I tried this on in size 2 and could barely get it over my hips so I had to size up to a 4. I preferred the look of the 2 once it was on but was afraid I would rip it bringing it over my hips each time!
Love the stiffness of this one. I wanted a new skirt but I have to ask - why the lack of colours in 2-way stretch lately? I do not like the 4 way stretch at all in shorts or skirts. I really hope there are more options coming in 2 way for the Speed Shorts and the Pace Setter skirt.
I am 5'1, 108 lbs and bought the 4.

Updated design is very flattering!
I couldn't wait to try on this skirt b/c I'm so tired of the double ruffle pace setter skirt. This skirt has perfect pleats ON THE SIDES of the skirt so it lays flat in the front & the back. This past winter there was one that had the pleat in the front & I was constantly pulling it out from between my legs when I walked/ran. This is an improved design where the pleats are on the sides so there's no issue with this. It's super flattering; got this blue stripe & the black! (only available in stores I think) I hope this becomes a staple for LLL like the pace setter. would love more colors! I'm five 3, 125, muscular build & the size 6 fit me perfectly, but I like some room in my skirts. (I also typically buy a 6 in pace setter). I believe it also comes in tall length in the stores.
