Reverse Groove Short (Tall)
tall groove pants
I have been buying groove shorts for years, but found the regular ones did not work that well when riding an exercise bike. A couple of years ago I discovered the tall version, and they are much better, although like other reviewers, I find them a bit long. However, I have not been able to buy the tall ones in Canada for quite a while. They are on the US website only. I phoned Lululemon, and unfortunately they could not tell me when they will be available either in the Canadian stores or online . However, I did learn that you can take the tall shorts into any Lululemon store and they will hem them for free. I knew they did this for pants, but didn't know about shorts. So this might solve the problem (if you are close to a store) that may of the reviewers discussed which was that the inseam was much longer than described. Fortunately I have an address in the US I can send the tall shorts to, then get them hemmed back in Canada.

I love these shorts , ever since I received them I wore them to every gym class . Perfect fit . Would love if there was more black made with different colour waist bands . I will definitely be buying more when they become available .

after 3 years, still great! except for pilling
After owning this product for 3 years, I feel like I can write a decent review. I got these because they were on sale and they were my first lululemon purchase. I wore them for running both outside and on the treadmill, gym work in general, and to bikram yoga. I never really quite understood the awesomeness of luon until I went to bikram yoga. These shorts are extremely breathable and wick sweat like no other. I wore a cotton top and I felt like my chest was going to drown and explode from the sweat, while my legs felt very comfortable. I didn't have to adjust them at all throughout the 90 minute sweat session. For running, I felt like the top of the waistband would drop and I had to pull them up once in a while, and they are generally good for gym work. I had actually stopped wearing them 2 years ago because the pilling got so bad it was embarrassing. it was pilling from just me wearing cotton underwear, but a depiller fixed the issue recently. If it weren't for the pills, I would say this is a perfect product. For reference, I am 5'0'', 130 lbs and a size 6 fit very well.

More of these, please!
I LOVE these shorts and agree that I would love to have more colors and more availability. I wish they were still available in the stores, in all the cool color combos. I bought them larger than my usual size because I needed them to be loose, but my regular size felt great as well. They were originally meant to wear under my hockey pants, but I find myself wearing them all the time. The pair I have is in the color of my team's rival, so I can't wear them to practice, but I wear them everywhere else!

My new favorite do-everything shorts
I love these shorts. I'm 5'7", but I ordered these in Tall because I wanted them longer than the normal length ones due to ride-up issues with other shorter elasticky shorts. I agree with some of the other reviews on here -- the inseam is closer to 10" than 7", but that's not a bad thing.
They don't move, no matter what you do -- I've done Crossfit, barre, and yoga in them and they haven't moved at all. It's great.
My only complaint is that there're aren't any color options! Why can't these come in all the cool patterns that the regular length ones do?! I'd buy them in every color if that happened!

Way too long!
The inseam of these is not even in the ballpark of the listed 7 1/8 inches - closer to 12, and that's in the size 4! I am tall and long-legged, and the length on me is a little above the knee, as on the model; 7 1/8 inches would be right at mid thigh. This is really ridiculously ludicrously false representation, and I'd expect better from LLL. That's the reason for the low rating.
That being said, they are nice, and I'll probably keep them. They're just not what I wanted or expected. They are almost a short crop rather than a "tall" version (ie, something a few inches longer) of the Groove short (of which I have many).
Lululemon, how about giving us a true mid-thigh short, for those times when 4 inches is too short and we really need something that will stay put (eg spinning), but we still want real *shorts*? Sadly, I'm going to have to look to another brand for this...

longer than specified
Item specifications indicated a 7 1/8" inseam but for a size 6 the inseam was 11". Picture is more accurate than the specs.

They advertise a 7 1/8" inseam but for a size 8 it was more like 10 inches. I asked live chat if they could check for my size and they couldn't give me answer so I ordered and tried and sent them back. They rode up, where you don't want them to as well. The picture is correct for where the inseam really is. Going to try the groove regular next, hopefully that will be hit!

I am usually very pleased with all the products from lululemon but I can't help but be disappointed by these shorts. They are sheer. The only way to wear them is to have white or skin colored underwear underneath. I have been reading similar reviews regarding sheerness in other lulu products as well. Why is this a problem at all?? I was told that it is a problem with my particular shorts but I find that hard to believe since there have been other similar reviews. I am so disappointed in lululemons quality lately and hope this all changes quickly for the better.

Great for running & not-so-sweaty yoga
I'm 5'7" 118lbs and wear a 4 in these shorts. I like the comfortable fit & the light compression. I have worn these running and love them because they don't ride up like the regular Groove Shorts do. I also like them for yoga for this same reason. However, bear in mind that if you have a sweaty vinyasa practice, your exposed knees can cause slipping in certain balancing poses like crow or hurdler's. Not sure if this is a factor in hot/bikram style yoga. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but something to keep in mind.
