Best compression style short, durable! Well, some people have said they don't like the what the sport short because of how the leg opening is kinda tight ( i do believe there supposed to a compression short style), but i liked that aspect because for cycling and hot yoga i find that it ride up a lot less. Also, it gives a bit once you wear them so they just right after a wear or two. I used them a lot for running, spin, hot yoga (hiking in the summer), i really liked the length they have its a happy medium not booty short and not weirdly long. luxtreme material holds up great the wide waistband is nice and comfy and lays flat. BUUUUUT I am disappointed that the US has more selection in these shorts then Canada..please get full on luxtreme in ultra violet, stain glass and the new patterns on the regular luxtreme what the sport shorts in giant herring bone and heathered slate I already own the three avaible here. (I wear a 2 I'm 5'4 and 126lbs) December 14, 2014
If you CrossFit - You need these! If you do CrossFit - you need these shorts in your life! Boogie Shorts are waaaaaayy too small for girls with thighs and a bum - these are spot on! They also didn't ride up when running either - this is a plus for me as I normally suffer from bad Chafe! They are they PERFECT CrossFit Shorts - Please bring them out in 100 different colours! Lululemon - you've done it again! November 23, 2014
Why Change a Good Thing? Last year I bought a pair of short running tights - they are amazing, the side pocket with a zip is awesome. The fit is perfect & the fabric has held it's shape. But this year, the shorts are different - no pocket, the fit is not as tight & the leg's ride up. Imagine my dissapointment after having ordered 2 pairs of these online & delivered here to South Africa - with the delivery fee & import duty I now have the most expensive ill-fitting shorts ever. Very very sad face... :-( October 1, 2014
The holy grail of running shorts? These shorts embody everything a top quality running short should be. Comfortable snug fit, 4-way stretch, moisture wicking, breathable, ample amount of pockets. I have been searching for a running short like this for years! When I first set eyes on these it was like I found the holy grail of running shorts. I think a light shined down and angles sang at that exact moment (well, maybe that's a slight exaggeration. But you see where I'm coming from). As a long distance runner training for a marathon, I was excited. They are amazing shorts. Really. Unfortunately for me, I have one issue. The legs ride up. A lot. I have a friend who also has these shorts and it's not an issue for her. I have muscular thighs. Larger than my friend's. I feel that's the cause of my issue. I know it's not a matter of size. I'm 5'6" 125lbs and size 6 fits best. I've tried other sizes to be sure, and watched the "Find your Fit" lulu video. I'm confident it's my muscular thighs. They're slightly rounded, not straight up and down like the model in the pictures. I'm seriously heart broken over this. If these shorts were longer, 3/4 length of the thigh, or had rubber gripping, they'd be golden for me. Please lulu, help a gal out and put some rubber gripping on these, or make them longer. Pretty pretty please? September 27, 2014
my go to running short These are my favorite lulu running shorts. Today I ran 18k in these shorts. I bought my usual size 4 (I'm 5'5" 113lbs) fit is perfect. The pockets are awesome-one pocket can hold one of my small water bottles from my fuel belt, and chews. The other pocket can hold my iPhone and car key. No sweat marks at all and I sweat big time. Shorts stayed in place. I plan on wearing these for my half marathon and feel very confident they won't fail me. I need to invest in a couple more pairs of these. September 21, 2014
hated the waistband I loved everything about these shorts but the waistband. I tend to wear pants on the lower side and the waistband was so tight it did not allow me to wear it lower. I felt it did not give as much as the regular lulu waistbands. September 14, 2014
older version - ripped seams again I have the two previous versions of these shorts (4 pair of each, they were my favorite shorts and I am super picky). However the seams have started ripping in the inner thigh - they are by no means too small or too big, they fit like a glove. I only wash with other LLL products and on delicate and dry flat. I have taken them in and asked to send them out to be sewn as I don't think my simple machine would do the trick and was told that LLL doesn't send things out for mending anymore, only hemming. I am super bummed about this, I think I am going to have to toss 2 pairs of shorts and I'm not ready to go back into all my crops. September 10, 2014
comfort galore. Great running shorts, material is not like black luxtreme - it has a softer texture. I thought it would change colour with sweat, but after a 4km run in humidity they are still the same. This may change with a sweatier session. Only downside is they ride up slightly - grip liners (like in the Pace Setter skirt) would have made these a game changer. September 10, 2014
Do I have to take them off? I wear a lot of lululemon. If there was a luluholics anonymous, I would be a very active member. These are quite possibly my favorite article of clothing I've ever bought from lulu. I chose them over the Grooves because when I danced in them at the store they didn't ride up, which is a problem I've had with the Gooves. These don't ride up and are 10x as comfortable. They feel amazing. For some reason they don't feel as constricting as the Groove shorts, although the inseam and everything is about the same length and fit. The waistband is lined, so it doesn't dig like some elastic ones do. My favorite things about these shorts (besides the infinite comfort) are the POCKETS!!!! There are so many pockets. And they are comfortable. I had my phone in my pocket and forgot it was there because it didn't dig in like some of my other pockets. I have a pretty big phone and it fit in the pockets very well. The fabric is amazing. They stretch just like I need them to and I just can't say enough about these shorts. I got them in the heathered black version partially because that was the only color they had in these in my size and partially because I really like them! It's a color I don't have in any other shorts, so it's especially good. I like the waistband/short combo--it's a neat alternative to the "traditional" yoga pant look without the leg crushing awkwardness of spandex like these waistbands are usually paired with. As far as sizing--I'm usually a 4 in lulu and these fit quite true to size. They are not too tight or too loose. I have really long legs and the 4in inseam doesn't look too short. I love these shorts and want to buy them in every color. This will definitely be a repeat buy for me--such excellent shorts. Congratulations lulu--yet another awesome product. September 9, 2014
OK for running, great for cross-training During the crazy hot months in Texas, I prefer a compression short like this for running to avoid chafing. So I bought these shorts for running and found them OK for that purpose. Unfortunately, they did crawl up a little on me before settling in place. Because the inseam is already on the shorter side, this small amount of movement in the inseam was enough to expose the inside of my thigh. Worn only for a 3 mile run, I didn't run long enough to see if chafing would occur. But now I don't feel comfortable taking them out on a longer run. That being said, I did LOVE these for cross-training. I do a lot of stationary bike, elliptical, and strength training. These are great for that! The gusset does not crawl up and create CT, a common problem with compression shorts. The gusset style is similar to the gusset in boogie shorts, it is not diamond or triangle. I would consider these a nice cross between dart and dash shorts and fast track shorts. They have the higher waist of the dart and dash with the shorter inseam of the fast track shorts. The waistband is comfortable and more substantial that I imagined (I thought the waistband looked like a boxer short waistband.) The pockets are nice, the reflective details are appreciated, and again the gusset is great. I've washed them three times now and they still look great. I didn't find the fabric too thick as some other reviewers noted. They flatter your figure and the higher waistband prevents muffin top. I am 5'2", 110 lbs, with most of my weight in my middle and thighs. I took a size 6 and find the fit perfect. If your thighs are a little more straight, perhaps these won't crawl up on you. However, they did for me but still love them for other workouts. I liked them so much, that I already bought another pair. September 9, 2014
