why we made this

We made these shorts to keep us feeling comfortable and cool on training runs and on race day. The lightweight Swift fabric is moisture-wicking and the soft Luxtreme waistband and continuous drawcord ensure a proper fit so we can streak past our personal records. Ándale!

best running shorts I was a little bit apprehensive buying these, I have the plain black pair from last season and ordered the pink this season and was disappointed that the fabric was so much thicker.. however when i saw the purple and black quilted band shorts i bit the bullet and ordered them.. so happy.. they the same type of four way stretch as the black from last year, and even better, i don't have to cinch the waist as much.. the other ones get a little bunchy around the waist from cinching it. I agree with most reviews, I am normally a size four in lulu bottoms, but in these shorts i always have to go up a size. I am 5'4 125lbs. May 17, 2013
LOVE these shorts These are my absolute favorite running shorts. I run about 6-10 miles daily & now ONLY wear my Lulu speed shorts. I can't stop buying them. They fit PERFECTLY- no riding up, no muffin top. Just VERY comfortable shorts. Not only do I wear them to run in, but they are my go-to shorts for running errands, or just lounging around the house. Perfect shorts if you get the right size It is a pity the online store doesn't separate the 2 ways from 4ways. I wear a size 4 in 4-way swift (burning yellow), size 6 in 2-ways (inkwell wagon strip) and size 8 in crazily tight 2-ways (wee are from space combo, pink parfait). Once you get the right size, these shorts are perfect for running, lifting, dog-walking. Some reviews have issues with the lighter colors being see through. It doesn't bother me one bit as they obviously look like sports shorts and most people know that sports shorts comes with liners. It is nto as though you will be revealing anything that should not be seen. May 17, 2013
Size down not up A lot of the reviews here are misleading. I wear size 4 in lulu bottoms and upon reading the reviews, most said to size up due to the 2-way stretch vs 4-way stretch. Well, that was a total bust! Size 4 would have been perfect. I got the Frond print and it looks like I have a diaper on coz it's sooo big on me. This is really super short that you could wear this somewhat limited. I may change my mind in the summer since I'd be craving for less garment. If you have skinny legs/thighs, this won't look as 'tight' in the thigh area; thus leaving you with a lot of room. I am contemplating re-selling or giving it to someone in my circle who's willing to wear it. May 16, 2013
Comfort for all activities I bought these shorts almost a week ago and have worn them 3 times, although I'm not much of a runner. They are super comfortable . I was afraid they would be too short and I almost didn't even try them on in the store. I love the way lulu makes them longer in the back so I don't feel uncomfortable while at the gym. They'll even be great to throw on to run to the grocery store as well when it's so hot in the summer! Very happy about this purchase. May 16, 2013
not to my liking I wanted to love these so bad but they just didn't work for me. I tried them on in the store because they are adorable but with big hips and thighs.. not to mention a butt these shorts looked liked a swimsuit in my normal 8 and oddly baggy and falling off in a ten. Also, the front ride on me was a little low. I'm 5'4 with a long torso.Now to be fair I have a hard time finding shorts but when I do I buy five! May 16, 2013
Lululemon symbol fell off during first wear I bought the new speed shorts with the colors black, purple, light blue, and floral this weekend. I love how they fit compared to the last few I bought. This pair seemed much more like the old pairs I have in terms of fit and sizing. However, I am really disappointed that before I even wore them for three hours, the Lululemon symbol had fallen off. My friend picked it up and handed it to me. I do not think the symbol should fall off even before the first day of wear. It may seem trivial, but it still reflects on how well the product is made and taken care of before it is purchased. I do agree with other reviewers that the clothes are way too expensive to be lacking in quality. May 13, 2013
My favourite pair of Lulu shorts! I've just bought my second pair of these shorts and I honestly can't get enough of them! I'm definitely a gym-goer and these are my go to shorts. I'm used to wearing boogie shorts and I find that these shorts give you more flexibility without worrying about your butt falling out (thanks to the inner liner- which I find isn't a nuisance like you would expect). I went safe the first time and went to a LLL store to purchase a plain black pair (which can match with anything!). I've loved them ever since. I have been waiting for a new style to come out in black with a nice waistband design and AH-HA! The new black/power purple ones came out! I read on the other reviews that a lot of people were unimpressed with the fit/material but I can say that I made an impulse online purchase to get them and I'm glad I did. I have an athletic build, I'm around 5"3, 140 lbs and I wear a size 4 in all my LLL products and this fits just right for me. It keeps everything in tact (especially when doing my squats). Someday I hope to own many, many more of these shorts! I highly recommended going to the store and finding the right sheerness, fit and size for you instead of all you hesitant people ordering online and not getting what you want. For me, I took my chance and I love them! Can't wait for another cute pair to come out :) May 13, 2013
All-purpose shorts These shorts weren't my cup of tea for running because the short length moves around a bit around the inner thighs. But, I expect to wear them all the time for biking, tennis, and gardening this summer. May 12, 2013
Great for stong booties I was a DI runner in college and received plenty of spandex shorts to train and compete in. Surprisingly, those sorts did not fit muscular thighs an booties very well. All of them sausaged my thighs, or would ride up to reveal my booty. In these shorts, im not constantly pulling and tugging them back in to place, and the elastic doesnt pinch or move. These were very thoughtfully constructed: a nice short fit that keeps you cool, but fitted coverage so that your not distracted worring about hanging out of your shorts while training. May 10, 2013
