a lightweight, sweat-wicking, four-way stretch fabric that feels cool and comfortable, keeping us moving in our hottest workouts
woven for strength and no-bulk performance, this four-way stretch fabric moves with us and stays out of our way
why we made this
We made this running skirt with four-way stretch fabric and built-in shorts so you can feel confident no matter how large you leap. The shorts have silicone grip on the hem so they don't roll up mid-stride, keeping you covered when you're out making tracks.

Love them for tennis and bootcamp!
I have used the pace setter for tennis, running and bootcamp classes. I love the fit, it is flattering and I think slimming.
I prefer the tall fit even though I am only 5'4" as the shorts come down to a more flattering length on me.
The skirt is comfortable and moves with my movements and there is not an issue with the shorts riding up.
I wear a 4 or 6 normally and the skirt fits in a 6.

Does this not bother anyone but me???
I have MANY Lulu skirts with the attached shorts (I've been ordering LLL from Canada before there were even stores in the States!!!). I am a long time customer and really like all of my skirts. The shorts are the problem, or more specifically, the SILICONE GRIP!!! I hate it so much!!! In theory it is a good idea - keeps your shorts from riding up, right? Well, I would rather have to pull the shorts down once in a while than get the WELTS on my thighs that I got when I played tennis in them. Red, raised, painful and angry welts that circle my thighs where the silicone held on and did not let go through all of my motions. After suffering the burning and itching of the welts I will not be buying any more pieces that include the silicone grips. It's just not worth it (it's been a week and I am still not recovered!!)

Best tennis skirt ever!
This skirt is by far my favorite tennis skirt EVER! not only is it cute, it's comfortable as well and has pockets for my phone and keys. The quality is excellent, and this is my only skirt with spandex that doesn't ride up. I get compliments every time I wear it. My only complaint is that it's very expensive. For sizing reference, I am 5'6, 116lbs, and wear a 4, but I will sometimes wear a 6 for a more loose fit.

Fit for tennis?
I wanted to write this review for a while, so here it is!
In general lulu does not do well with tennis clothes, but this skirt is an exception. It is comfortable, little shorts are built in and have a small gel band that does not make them ride up. Overall I love the skirt. I am 5.6 and 130 lbs - size 6 fits perfect!
Here is the reason why the skirt may not be fully suitable for tennis. I told the same thing to the educator in the store and rally hope message gets to lulu design studio.
There is a pocket in the shorts which can be used to store a tennis ball (this is perfect!). However, there is only one pocket and it is on the left thigh. So if you are right handed you would use your left hand to out the ball in. Works as designed. However, if you are left handed like me this won't work. I hold the racquet in my left hand, so if I have to put the ball in the pocket on the left thigh I have to transfer the racquet into my right hand. Does not quite work! It is such a small thing, but really makes me feel upset for all the leftie tennis players out there :-/
Lulu please design these skirts with pockets on both thights

Add a phone pocket vs a ball pocket
I like the pace setter shirts for running, but really they're tennis skirts. There is a pocket on the side of the undershorts which opens on the bottom for a tennis ball. If there was a pocket on other leg which opened at the top to hold a phone it would be a more versatile piece. I have some running skorts from 2012 (I think) that have a phone pocket on sides of undershorts & I love that feature. I haven't seen that style since - I guess I'm the only fan...

My new favorite thing to wear everywhere
I love this skirt! I was nervous after reading a review about muffin top thigh because my thighs have some meat to them, but it is not an issue at all. It fits so well. I am 5'6" and very glad I got the Tall, it is still short and cute. Size 10 true to size fits just like my lulu pants. Shorts always ride up in the inner thigh, making them so uncomfortable. I will never wear athletic shorts again, just this skirt or crops. Glad that the pleats lay pretty flat, they are not added poof on your backside just a cute detail.

Loving this skirt
I picked up a new Pace Setter skirt a couple of months ago on sale and am loving it. The skirt under shorts do not ride up at all. I have both the 4 way and 2 way skirts, and have to say I am liking the 4way better. I had the skirts fit TTS for the most part.
I use my skirts for running and I'm pretty sure they help me run just a little bit faster ;)

Super cut and versatile!
I got this skirt i the blue polka dots and i love it! I wear it when i go running and sometimes i wear leggings under it when i feel girly. I got the ivivva one too and its not as good as the lululemon one because the ivivva one doesn't have a drawstring like the lululemon one. Since i'm 13, weigh 80 pounds and am 5ft 8in, i got this skirt in size 4 because i tried on the 2 but it was too short on me. the 6 was the perfect length, but it was way too loose. so i settled ont the four. its still loose because i'm very skinny, but the drawstring really helps.

Exceeded my marathon expectation!
Being a new but devoted LLL fan I was still a bit nervous and hesitant when I ordered the Pace Setter skirt to arrive just days before my first marathon. Everyone says " don't try any new clothes during the race" but I was desperate. The forecast showed heat that I had not prepped for so my Run Crops were out. I'm of the ilk that looking good helps you feel good and I must say I felt a bit lighter on my feet in this flirty super comfy skirt :) no chaffing, those silicone bands on the compression shorts underneath don't move! Not a bit, once in place!
And the tennis ball pocket beneath was the perfect seamless storage pocket for my mini pace sheet. If there were 10 stars that's what I would rate this skirt!!!!

Just received my bali green/stripe skirt
After reading reviews I sized down to 4 and it fits perfect. I did have a black one in 6 and found it generous. They will stretch a bit as you work out - as long as the top layer of ruffles doesn't bunch upwards then the fit is fine. If it bunches up then a sign that it is too tight around hips/love handles. I am 5'4" 130lbs and wear a 6 in the rival but a 4 in this style. The front sits flat against my abs without showing outline of pelvic bones. The bali green/stripe is cute but maybe a bit challenging to find right shade of watermelon pink or lilac to go with it. I guess there is always black.
This is the 4way stretch ultra swift fabric so it is not as stiff as the 2 way stretch. The pleats tend to lay flatter but perhaps not quite as crisp as the 2 way stretch fabric.
