Run: Inspire Crop II

These are the crops we pack for Kona (and, well, everywhere else).

why we made this

When we're training hard on the track and the trails, we want to work up a serious sweat without grime sticking to our legs. We designed these run crops out of inherently wicking fabrics so our skin stays dry and placed mesh panels behind the knees to help keep us cool when things get heated.

key features

  • go ahead and work up a sweat! the body-mapping at the back of your knees helps you stay cool and dry
  • the gusset helps keep your lady bits comfortable (and says no to the 'Toe!)
  • cinch the continuous drawcord for a custom fit
  • make a stink! the Circle Mesh panels are anti-bacterial to help prevent a smelly gym bag
  • stow your gels in the two pockets hidden in the waistband
  • the chafe-resistant flat seams help protect sweaty skin from irritation
  • stash your valuables in the secure zipper pocket in the back

tech specs

  • designed for: run
  • fabric(s): Power Luxtreme®, Circle Mesh
  • properties: moisture-wicking, body-mapped, preshrunk, chafe-resistant, anti-stink, breathable
  • rise: medium

Run: Inspire Crop II 3.9 5 646 646
Love these! There have definitely been some major failings with Lulu products over the last year or so, but these crops still remain a favorite of mine. I have a couple of pairs from way back and have purchased a couple of pairs of the new ones and have to say in my opinion they are still great crops! I have had no see through issues at all, they offer great compression for classes I teach (such as Kickboxing) and they stay pretty much in place the whole time. For reference I wear a size 8, 5ft 6, 155lbs right now (gained some weight from my usual 145lbs), athletic/muscular build. I could probably size up to a 10 at the moment but my 8's are still a good fit. May 21, 2013
Can't belive the poor Quality Can't belive the poor quality in the Run: Inspire Crop II. I have 5 pairs that are about 3 years old and absolutly WONDERFUL!!! But thought I should start buying some new ones to replace the older ones....big mistake...this weekend made a 3hour trip to the closet lulu store and was very disappointed! They aren't even close to being the same crop... the material is so thin...I did buy one pair, since i made the 3hour drive...Wore them on a run last night...wow...they don't even retain their shape, no compression, not sure what type of material you are using but I will never spend another cent on a pair of these crops.... You should really lower the price on these to match the quality. The most I would pay for these is $20.... I was a loyal lulu customer, but not so much anymore.. May 21, 2013
Still the best I have been wearing this style for a few years now and I stilll love them. They are perfect length and I can wear them running all year round and I can fit my iphone in the back pocket. I was concerned about the sheerness so had my hubby and several friends check them for me and they were given the okay. I wear a size 6 in everything and these fit perfectly. If these were made without a zipper in the back I'd wear them for yoga too. May 20, 2013
NOT worth the $$$$$$ Buyer Beware I have been a very faithful Lulu customer for a long time. I own many items from every catagory. I used to be proud of this brand. The quality was high and the designs made you feel cute and feminine even when getting hot and sweaty at the gym. With that being said the last couple years have been disappointing to say the least. Their stuff is now so overpriced for the qaulity you get. These are no exception!!! They are COMPLETELY see through and give no compression or support while running. The fact that as a company the people in your stores are telling me that they are not for anything but running should embarrass you! If i spend $86 dollars on WORKOUT clothes I should be able to wear them what ever my work out is. I decided to give lulu one last try with these pants and unfortunately they were the last straw. I have friends that are now getting clothes just as cute and look just like lulu from other stores that are better quality and less than half the price. I guess I will be joining the throngs of people giving up on the horseshoe for a while until you get your act together. May 17, 2013
at first, fantastic. then downhill quickly. I loved these pants so much when I first bought them that I bought two more pairs. They were great for the first month--I probably used each pair three times for running and spin. When I went to put on a pair this morning for spin class, I realized that the seems above the crotch are completely unraveling. That's ridiculous for a $86 pair of crops. Completely unacceptable--I had taken care of my pants exactly how they recommend. May 17, 2013
Love them! I love these crops! I bought a pair in black not too long ago and have run in them several times, including a 10 mile run, and a trip to the gym to lift weights. I recently looked up the reviews and was surprised to see all of the negative feedback and concern about them being see through. I immediately put them on and bent over in all directions, couldn't see a thing, and then had my husband check and confirmed that I was being ridiculous and they were not see through. I do think they are a thinner material than previous styles, but I actually find them much more breathable and they feel great while running. I have a pair from a few years back and the fabric feels way too thick. I think some of the negative reviews just have to do with personal preference, so I would recommend trying them on and moving around in them. If they feel too thin for you, then maybe go for a different style. I'm 5'9 about 135 lbs. and bought a 6, possibly could have gone down a size, but I typically size up for comfort and I'm happy with these. I wear a 6 in pretty much everything lulu. May 16, 2013
cute, but don't bend over... Bought these crops a week ago to bring back to Europe and flaunt the Lululemon brand at my local gym! I picked these cute crops because of the absolutely adorable color, the pink and black combo, and the slimming length. Unfortunately, I was at the gym this morning with my sister and was doing some mat exercises when she told me that the crops were completely see through. I refused to believe her and ran into the women's restroom to prove her wrong, however, I have to report that she was correct. I am 5'6" and 134 lbs. (pretty average) and wear a size 6. It's really unfortunate that these run inspire crops are so pricey ($86) and have such low quality. I'm really bummed because I finally found some cute crops that are snug and it's really unfortunate that I won't be able to wear them without embarrassment. Come on, Lulu! :( May 16, 2013
Had to exchange multiple times due to damage. Let me say that these crops were fantastic while they lasted. Comfortable, didn't move at all, soft, very functional for whatever workout I chose. However, the quality is questionable. I first bought a pair in February of 2012. By December of that year, the entire inner thighs on both sides had ripped open and there was stitching fraying in multiple areas. The staff at my local LLL expressed their concern and allowed me to exchange. I figured I would try another pair, since I really did love the fit and feel of the crops. Fast forward to March and the crops are completely unwearable again, damaged in the inner thigh area and frayed elsewhere. Not that it matters, but I'm not an exceptionally large girl. I am athletic/muscular, but 5'4 and 150 lbs. The size I was wearing (8) was a bit loose, but I liked the fit. The second time around, the girl had the audacity to tell me that I probably bought too small a size and maybe that was why they were ripping. Always an excuse for poor quality. Needless to say, this time I opted for a gift card. For $88, I expect my crops to last more than a few months. I appreciate Lulu taking them back, but the experience still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. May 16, 2013
Fabulous! I ordered these crops in green online, despite seeing so many reviews that stated they were sheer. I was a little nervous, but when they arrived and I tried them on, I was amazed!!! They fit perfectly, are super comfy, and no matter how I bent, squatted or stretched they were not remotely see through. They are still thin running tights, so if you aren't very fit/muscular, I could see how someone could think they were unflattering, but as long as you're in good shape, they look great! May 16, 2013
They are OK for the first 5 minutes of a run.... Alright Lulu, I have been on the hunt for another pair of crops since I purchased my first pair 2+ years ago...now those were quality crops! They held me in and kept everything tight for my long distance runs/ high intensity sprints. They were thick enough to wear in the cooler fall and spring months without feeling like the wind was whipping through to my underwear... So I thought I could be this fortunate again with my recent purchase from Lulu, silly me. I bought the Run: Inspire Crop II and wore them out for a short 3-5K run, well they only felt snug and held their shape for about the first kilometer, after that it felt as if I was wearing a pair of old leggings. -They have very short-lived compression (their shape and compression stretches out with any sort of use almost immediately) -They are VERY thin ( I could absolutely feel the wind on my butt and it felt like it was going right through the pant) -And sadly the seams on the lower part of the leg near my calf have started to unravel. This area has zero friction!! Why?! After Spending $86 on these crops I am very disappointed and will have to make the 2 hour trek back to the closest store, or pay the return shipping. I would really like a return to the old quality material/style so that this kind of customer dissatisfaction is a non-issue May 16, 2013
