Wunder Under Pant
WARNING! HORRIBLE! DO NOT BUY!
THESE ARE AWFUL. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. DO NOT BUY! I preface this review by saying I have never written a review for a purchase in my life, but I was so severely disappointed in this purchase that I felt I needed to warn others. THESE ARE AWFUL. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. DO NOT BUY!
The price is extremely expensive for a pair of pants. I purchased these because they say they are for yoga, gym, and to and from. I thought, perfect, I can put them on at home and wear them to yoga and the gym and not have to carry spare pants with me, and that'll be worth my money. The first time I wore these pants, I put them on in the morning before work and used them at my yoga class during the day. At the end of the day, there was a huge patch of pilling on the knee. I have already discussed this experience with GEC, so I won't go into detail, but I took them into the store to be replaced and was treated extremely rudely - I had an extremely unpleasant encounter with the manager after which she reluctantly replaced the pants and pretty much told me that store would never help me with a replacement ever again. I will stress again that I had worn these 1 time without washing.
I called GEC to tell them about the customer service. They told me that the reason for the pilling was that the pants can't be worn with anything that can wear on the fabric - i.e. a purse that's hitting the thigh, tall boots, ankle boots, a dog, etc. My pants had pilled because of the boots I was wearing with them. I live in where it's snowy and cold - how can I go "to and from" yoga and gym if I can't wear boots with these in winter? And am I the only one who needs to bring stuff to the gym in a gym bag? Am I supposed to cradle my bag in my arms to protect my pants? That's ridiculous - protect my pants.
I'm on my second pair. I now have a HUGE (even bigger than the first) patch of pilling on the left thigh because that's how I carry my gym bag. GEC told me the first time I can mail the pants back, and, once they receive it, either get new pants or get a gift card for the amount. Um no? I have many things from Lulu that I am no longer wear because I do not want to promote this company. Before this incident, I asked for Lulu gift cards for Christmas. I have since asked no one purchase these for me, and I will not be buying as gifts. Why would I want a gift card to buy more stuff from a company I am no longer supporting? And why would I want replacement pants that I have to treat like a baby? Don't be fooled by GEC's responses on reviews - there is no customer service here.
GEC told me these pants should last 4-5 years. I think they would MAYBE last about that long if you put them on and stayed perfectly still the entire time (and maybe not even then).

I was so excited when I was finally able to snag a pair of the herringbone WUs in the store 2 weeks ago. I love my other lulu pants and had always had my eye on these but was never able to catch them when they were in stock.
Unfortunately, the seam between the legs started coming undone today when I was wearing them. This is only the second time I have worn them since I bought them (both times they have only been worn with boots just casually, not working out). The spot is an inch and a half long after 2 wears. I attached some pics; you can see how noticeable the spot is. It looks like I have hairs growing out of my crotch...yuck!
I couldn't believe I was only able to get two wears out of these! I am so bummed! The pants I had wanted for so long are coming apart at the seams and they're all sold out!

Despite the mixed reviews...
Until this week I hadn't purchased a pair of WU pants because of polarizing and conflicting reviews about the pants being sheer, cheap, flimsy, etc. versus sturdy, good-quality and not sheer. I had the chance to go to a Lulu store to try on the Wunder Unders, and I tried on all of the different types to see for myself. All of the pants seemed great! I tried on a pair of original WU's that were a size too small just to see if they were sheer, and I could see the bright print on my undies when I bent over. I then tried on a pair in the size I usually wear and couldn't see anything at all. The fabric seems to be good-quality, and they are very comfortable. I ended up purchasing the reversible WU's just to have some versatility. They seemed to fit exactly the same as the original WU's.

You should have bought these yesterday
In love with my Wunder Unders...you can never have too many, at least not yet!
I want to see the herringbone pattern again before the end of 2013 please!

I read the reviews and no one else has mentioned this? I love how soft these feel, however when I put them on they are SO itchy I take them off after a short while. I have tried washing them inside out, I have no idea why, but I just cannot wear these so they are just sit in my drawers :( I love the look, I have them in the herringbone. Does anyone else find them unbearable to wear?

Most comfortable yet!
I loveeee these pants. On a quest for a new pair of wunder unders I tried on a bunch of different styles in store. These are flattering, stretchy, and thick. They are not see through, and believe me, I did a lot of bending over to check (and in the process found other styles that were). I got the pique black/black color and they are very nice looking! My normal size (6) fit perfectly. Can't wait to wear these to barre classes all winter!

Got my latest pair of Wunder Under Pants in the Pique fabric, but find that they fit almost a size smaller than my regular luon pairs, and even in the size up can be see through.

Unlike past reviews, these Wunder Unders were not sheer at all and I did not experience any pilling with them! Overall they feel great, their rise eliminates the muffin top effect and I love the Herringbone color :)

muffin top camel toe disaster
I love my WUs. I have a pair of capris from 2009 that are still perfect and a newer pair from last year that are pretty good. I ordered a new pair in the blue/black print for Christmas. I was so excited to try them on, and they are not what I expected.
Sheerness was not an issue, but that triangle "gusset" was - really it just enhances the CT situation. Why on earth would there be a huge seam in the front... just begging for CT!
As well, the pants have been made to fit much lower than either of my other WUs. They sat a full inch below my bellybutton, cutting into my love handles and making for an all-around unflattering fit.
Really disappointing, Lulu. But with the way you guys have been going downhill in the last couple years, I shouldn't have been surprised. Will be returning and shopping elsewhere.

Love, Love, LOVE the Herringbone!!!
These WU are by far my favorite. They feel like a soft blanket, and are just compressive enough to be completely flattering. I am between a 6 and an 8 in LLWU's, but I usually get an 8 (more comfortable- even if they get a bit loose). I've never had a problem with sheerness in any of the WU's (even before they came out with the Full-on-Luon), so I never hesitate to purchase when new style or color pattern comes out. These herringbone pants are just perfection!
