tight-knit, moisture-wicking, four-way stretch Full-On Luon® is a high-performance fabric that gives great support and coverage with a cottony-soft feel
why we made this
We're all about embracing change, which is why we've updated the silhouette of our beloved Groove Pant. It's still the pant that takes us from yoga class to the gym and everywhere in between, with a couple of small changes (ch-ch-check 'em out below).
fabric + features
a tight-knit version of our Luon™ fabric - Full-On Luon™ gives incredible support and coverage with a cottony-soft feel
Full-On Luon™ is sweat-wicking, four-way stretch and breathable
we've increased the rise at the back of the waistband to help keep you covered in Forward Fold
we also narrowed the knee by 1" and broadened the leg opening (the "bell") by the same amount
the smooth, flat waistband is comfortable and won't dig in
I have been purchasing Lululemon for many years now, I have to say this purchase was very disappointing. I was really excited to get a new pair of groove pants because I have not purchased a new pair since 2011. The pair that I purchased in 2011 were comparable to other groove pants in previous years however they had a major pilling issue( not to mention groove pants I own purchased many years early and have been wore many, many times remain in far better condition than the groove pants purchased in 2011. After about a month the groove pants purchased in 2011 were no longer wearable outside of the house as they were very pilling and looked awful). So needless to say I stopped purchasing groove pants at this point because I felt the quality was not as good as it had been before.
I thought I would break down and give it another try with these groove pants. To my dismay the quality is no were near comparable to the quality of prior purchases before 2011. The biggest disappointment was the bend over test, the size tag was clearly visible when I bent over. I really like the style and really wanted to love these pants but when you consider the price paid for the pants verses the quality and sheerness, these are not a keeper.
I still have groove pants that I wear that I purchased in 2007 that are superior to these groove pants. Those were well worth the price paid.

Groove pant new cut - WTH??
The new cut of Groove Pant is awful... What on earth happened to the best pants in the universe? The flare on the bottom leg is too narrow, above the knee fits too tight and there is no butt lift anymore...like it used to give the illusion of a great butt to those who lack in that department. I am definitely not buying them anymore. They now make me look just like any other cheap pants out there.
I am sad beyond words. SAD. SAD. SAD.
I want back my beloved groove hot pants that made me look like a million bucks.

I had ordered the groove pant years ago and fell in love with it (the first year). Since then, each time I order the groove pant, the material is not up to par and I would pay twice the price to get the original material and fit from several years ago. I received my order today of the groove pant full-on luon and this is the biggest disappointment of all. These pants are horrible. They are soooo tight and the material is itchy and the knee area is so restrictive. I would give anything if the executives of this company would pay attention to their clients and not spoil a good thing (which they have done). I am soooo disappointed in these pants. I am returning these and looking elsewhere.

I was so excited to finally try a pair of these because I love all of my lulu clothes. I have a bunch of wonder unders & speed tights. I only have ever washed my lulu pants together & on gentle. After one wear these pants were pulling & extremely disappointed by that!! Only wore them to ONE yoga class. I've never experienced any lulu clothing ever doing that. Wish I hadn't spent $98 on this!!!!

I am so disappointed with the quality of the pants lately. I follow the care instructions, and I feel like they only last a couple of weeks and then they get stretched out and loose their "look".
At this price point, I would expect them to last longer. I love how they fit new, and wish they stayed like that.

Not the same grooves I came to know and love from the past. The quality of the fabric is thin, feels cheap, not compressive and stretches out. Big disappointment especially at this price point. What an embarrassing waste of money.

Old Versus New
I purchased my first pair of your Groove pants three (3) years ago and they still look new.
I have three pairs of your new Full on Luon groove pants that have been worn once and washed as per instructions and they look old and out of shape. I am disappointed and am leery about buying more. They look old.
I must say that, although I have been defending the groove pant all along, that I am 5'1" and weight 95 lb. I wear a size 2. There is no problem about them being inappropriate for my size. There has been no see through problem but I think the quality of your product has deteriorated and that is too bad because I was enjoying them so much. I thought I had found the perfect pant. Maybe you might consider going back a few years and taking a look at the quality then as apposed to now. From the comments I have been reading many others are feeling the same way. I wonder when quality was sacrificed for ??????????????? The question of what I am is not in your list. I am a fashion conscious casual dresser ad not a yogi or a sweaty generalist, etc. I would encourage you to add other categories. Not all of us are dancers ore yoga instructors. We only like stylish and well made clothing.
I will add that I personally and tired of seeing swiftly tech". It's becoming extremely boring and repetitive and well as the Scuba Hoody".

These are great pants. I have never had quality issues and have been purchasing them for years. I use them mainly for running. The full-on luon fabric is much nicer than the old fabric. They are softer, hug the body slightly more and just look better. I have actually received compliments on just a plain black pair. My only complaint about the new version of the pant, and the reason for the four star rating, is the triangle gusset. It causes the pant to rise up the butt for the first little bit. I never had this issue with the diamond gusset!

I love the fit but the quality
I love the fit and style of the pants. I am 5'3 1/2" (125lbs) and wear a size 24 (lean athletic built). I bought both the groove and Full on Loun in a size 2. However the groove pilled at the knees. Unfortunately washing the groove pair did not fix the issue either. Since this happen with the groove pair, I am too nervous to wear the Full on Loun to coaching. I need pants that will not pill for coaching gymnastics (especially going into a foam pit) and I thought these would work. I guess I will only wear these for going to the gym or running errands. Disappointed since I am still on a search for a pair of yoga pants to coach gymnastics.

I was so excited at first to get these for Christmas--I had heard such great things about LuLulemon products, and honestly, I was not impressed. For some reason, the pants have made me itch every time I tried to wear them--I thought after washing them a few times, I would not have that issue, but alas, washing did not work. Second, anytime I bent over, you could see through them, no matter what light I was in--they were just really transparent, even though I got a size 12 and I normally wear about a size 9/10 (I have plenty of room left in the material, so they aren't being stretched too tightly across my rear or anything). Even though the length itself is right, the flare hits me in a strange place on my leg and just looks odd--almost as if the fit around the knee is just not quite right. I am a standard 5'5" woman, with a pretty long inseam for a shorter woman, and if anything, I thought they would fit better. After all of the fuss to get them, I think I would rather have gotten a couple pair of another brand from Scheels or something--so not worth the price!
