Speed Tight II (Brushed)
warm but pilly
Initially I bought the version of these with the mesh. After the stitching on those failed after one day I returned to the store and got these in exchange since it was all they had available. I still love the feel and fit of them and they keep me warm when I run outside and they can take me straight to a yoga class too. But after a month or two of regular use they are pilling a lot and it makes me sad. Why can't they be a better quality for the price I've paid??

RAD winter/cool weather run tights!
Totally love these run tights - just what I was hoping they would be! Warm(ish) without being super thick/fleecy. They are perfect for the Vancouver/Squamish winter run weather. Love the mid rise and reflective detailing at the inside of the cuffs. Super pleased with the fit - bang on Lululemon!

I bought these leggings after the recommendation of an educator that they would keep me warm in the Winter.
Sadly, the material on the butt seemed to pill like crazy. So. I returned the first pair of Speed Tights to get another pair.
Guess what happened?
THEY PILLED AGAIN. This time... On the butt AND seams.
No bueno, folks.

Amazing pants, but.....
I bought these pants to use for cool weather running (as low as -15C). So far I have loved the fit and I found them incredibly comfortable and warm enough. After the first few wears, I was planning to buy a second pair. I also did not experience any of the piling other commenters had noted.
However, I put them on to run this morning and noticed that the seam is coming out on the calf area on the left side. I am pretty disappointed as I bought them less than a month ago.

Wow! Best Lulus in my closet
I am a huge lululemon fan, and also a big dog lover. Unfortunately, my white dog also loves Lululemon, and I am constantly covered in dog hair no matter what I wear. I thought it would be the same old story for these, but the luxtreme is impressively resistant to dog hair! I love these pants - perfect for running, hiking...I've even worn them out for dinner! I did make the mistake of wearing them to yoga, only because they are so comfortable I literally never want to take them off, but the zipper at the back turned out to be a bit of a pain. Other than that, they are perfect and I absolutely recommend them, especially for pet owners who might shy away from Lululemon pants due to pet hair.

PRETTY IN THE MORNING, FUSSY IN THE EVENING.
I ordered mine online about 3-4 weeks ago and finally had a chance to wear it yesterday. I put it on in the morning, showed my husband how happy I am with my new purchase, love the colour black grape, feels TTS and it just feels perfect. My husband said you look sexy on your new pants....I was planning to run but did not happen because of the blizzard. So I stayed home the whole day. Evening comes and my husband got home and said, what happened to your sexy pants. It became a fussy pants.I did not really do anything yesterday but to lounge on our leather couch, our home is clean and pet free too. I know it would not affect the performance of the pants but it looks dirty especially if it is so new. Just wondering here about the pilling of the seams in all areas of the pants. I even ordered another one in deep cranberry the day before yesterday.

Would love them if the fabric didn't pill!
I bought these and immediately loved the fit, I'm 5'10 and the length was perfect for keeping my ankles warm. However, after my first run I noticed they were starting to pill a bit on the front of my hips (see pics). Can't figure out why, but have worn them 3 times now and they are getting worse each time, the only thing that would even come close to rubbing there is the hem of my shirt, but there is no way it should do that kind of damage. I have worn these in temps as cold as -15 and love the compression and warmth, it's too bad they look so terrible when they're so new!

Awesome for the Cold
The speed tights are amazing, I bought them last weekend at the Halifax store. The male employee said buy them tight, you wont be disappointed. He assured me they would be fine for super cold runs. I wore them today and yesterday with a cold wind chill and was extremely comfortable, I love the compression feel..
Really awesome tights. I will be buying another pair for myself for Christmas.
When I got home from Halifax (5 hours from my home) and reviewed my receipts buying many items, I noticed they had not charged me for my tights, when I called today to rectify this, they said thanks for being honest, just pay it forward....I will be paying a certain someone`s power bill so they can enjoy Christmas a little more...Thanks LULU, you rock in many ways..

Great running pants
These are my first pair of lululemon running pants and they are really a step above any others I've had. I like the thickness of the material and the spandex gives a bit of compression on the thigh. I quite like the high waistband which is useful when it's very cold. I think these will be good until about -15C.
The only problem is they are very very long. I'm 5'5" but have short legs, however these are longer than any other pants I've had, so I have big bunches of material around the ankles even if I pull them up as much as I can. It would be great if they were made in different lengths.
The pocket at the side of the leg is a bit unflattering and I don't see myself using it without a zipper. That said the pants are still great and I run in them every day.

I've been wearing lulu for 11 years. I loooove these pants. I have several "generation" of these tech pants and lulu has not disappointed me yet. I know the quality has ebbed and flowed in other products, but NOT THESE! They are perfect running pants for cold, windy, and misty weather from about 55 and below. Great for layering under ski pants too. They have more compression than other speed tights so keep that in mind. If you want to size up for comfort, there is a drawstring to keep the pants from slipping.
I am perplexed by the speed tight ii full-on luxtreme pants ($108) as these feel warmer and have more compression. What is the difference lulu?
