Rated 3 out of 5 by Great short, poor draw strings Just got yet another pair of Pace Breakers and in the second washing the drawstring twisted and the plastic finish came off. It's happened to all my current versions. I do not tie my shorts, so it's not a deal breaker for me. But my favorite versions of these shorts are the ones with the purple, continuos drawstring--still alive and kicking today. September 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Life changing! I absolutely LOVE these shorts! They are soft, they are lightweight, and they don't bunch up. These keep me nice and cool in the Texas summer while getting after those miles! September 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice short but needs improvement These are my go-to shorts for lifting. I own 3 pairs in different colors. The only flaw I have with them is how much they role at the waistline. I'm a normal build, 5'11" 175lbs. It really bothers me. If Lulu could fix this flaw, I'd buy a few more pairs. September 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Go To's These are AWESOME! This is my second pair of Lulu shorts (I also have the Surge). I'm going to replace all my Nike Fly shorts with these. They are great for gym workouts. You can also wear them casually to the grocery store. The liner is comfortable. It's not as tight at the Under Armour Heat Gear that I'm used to wearing but I like it. The best part is that you only have to grab one piece of clothing to throw on, rather than searching for clean shorts and boxers. I'm 5'9" and these stop right at the top of my kneecap. I like to run in something slightly shorter so I'll probably stick to the Surge for that but you could get them hemmed. August 21, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Awesome, but the Liner fails I've had multiples of these shorts and I rotate through them on a regular basis. They are very comfortable, however the liner is failing in them one by one. Holes are appearing in uncomfortable places. The price you pay for these shorts should at least least you a year if you wear them once a week, probably longer. The outside looks brand new and we never put these in the dryer, it just sucks that you invest $65 a pair and then you have to throw away 6 at once because of just the liner. August 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Comfortable but not Durable I recently purchased a pair of these shorts and at first I wore them all of the time, but then I started noticing fraying and then one day they tore. I was flustered that this happened in such a short amount of time. August 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by *ALERT* Chafing ahead! I have bought 4 pairs of these shorts...before the shoddy liner decided to give out. The issue is that the liner tends to split due to how thin it is, and once that happens it is game over. I have cut out the liner in one of the shorts, but I refuse to wear any of these shorts unless I absolutely have to. The amount of pain you will be in will not be worth it. Even though these shorts look great, stay away from these if at all possible. The luxtreme liner or liner-less would be a much better option. July 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by A replacement for Boardshorts I love the style, the length (not too short like core and not too long), and the material of the shorts. I bought these shorts primarily to play volleyball in and to replace aging boardshorts. For many years, the only shorts I wore were boardshorts, whether to lift, crossfit, beach and indoor volleyball. The liner is no big deal and I also own 2 pairs with the spandex liner for compression. The only real problem I have is that after playing ball for a few hours, I sweat through the liner/spandex and soaks the shorts a little bit. When the sweat seeps through to the outer material, the color darkens and it can be unsightly. Of course, the black shorts are fine but the teal, blue, and green ones that I have really show. Also, do not use these shorts to Oly Lift as the bar can scratch and scuff up your expensive new shorts...(lesson learned the hard way). If you don't sweat that much, then it's no big deal. Otherwise, it was a really great purchase! July 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pair of Shorts I really like the Pace Breaker short. The built in liner is comfortable and is really what makes them such an everyday short. The hidden zipper pocket is great for storing cash, or to hold your phone on a run. I just wish the short came in a few different (possibly solid) colors, much like the vent tech shirts. A cornflower blue or red pair of pace breakers would be sweet. July 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best shorts ever I can't find fault with these things. I dig the liner - perfect "just enough" combo of support and give. The length is great. The weight is great. I have a few pair as they have become much more than workout shorts for me. I have them on all time. If I am not wearing a suit to work, or wearing golf attire....I am wearing these at the gym, running errands, or lounging. ONE Fault actually - hook it up with some more standard colors - just a simple, pattern-free black, grey, navy, maroon, etc. July 16, 2015
