Pace Breaker Short *Luxtreme Liner - Online Only
Favorite Lulu Shorts
I have an older pair of the lux PB which I wear constantly and was hesitant to buy another due to the new liner (some reviewers said it was too tight, almost to the point of painful). I'm glad I went ahead and ordered them. Yes, the liner is different and a little tighter, but I wouldn't go nearly as far as to say painful or even uncomfortable. The tempest blue color is great and a nice change up from all the black/navy other shorts that I have. Keep the colors coming!

new version - 2 stars; old version - 5 stars
tl;dr - old version; awesome, new version; unwearable, but i don't have the heart to give just one star
6'1", 180 lbs, athletic build, normal leg size, 34/32 in pants fits comfortably, lulu size large
i have 3 pairs of the old luxtreme pace breaker (no brainer 5 star rating). two for around 1.5 years, got the other on ebay 2 weeks ago. workout 3-4 times a week and won't wear anything else.
my girlfriend bought me a new pair recently and i just ripped the tags off and threw them in my gym bag. turns out the liner has changed drastically and is now so tight around my thighs that it's borderline painful. not sure what facilitated the change, but i have since picked up an old pair off ebay but can't find any others.

Liner is too tight
I had one of the luxtreme pacebreaker before, bought it some month back. The liner is very different this time, too tight and uncomfortable.
I buy these shorts like a staple since I go through quite a few, just grab and go. I dont want to try them on each time
Its deeply annoying to me that design changes are made without pointing them out. Why not pacebreaker 1.0 2.0 etc when something changes
Also Iphone 6 barely fits into the pocket, its out for nearly a year now.

decent product, could use some improvements
My main complaint with these shorts is the uppermost part of the elastic waistband. for whatever reason, I'm guessing the band inside is flat, and you can feel that it has rolled over and twisted. the outer part of the garment is now rolling over the elastic and its kind of a mess. not a huge deal, but irritating at times. other than that, its a great garment. i wish the cut was a little shorter, but thats just my preference.

Great Crossfit Shorts
I got these for my husband for Crossfit. He loves them. Our Box in Florida doesn't have AC. These are light weight and cool. He can run in them, do BoxJumps, Squats, Planks and they don't fall down during Handstand PushUps. He never buys gear for himself and wants a couple more pair even though he knows how much they cost. They must be really amazing for him to be willing to pay more than $15 for them. I highly recommend these for everyday WODs or 5Ks.

Great shorts, but major design flaw!!
I bought a pair of these a few months ago, mostly for running. They fit great and held everything in place well. They became my favorite shorts for long runs so I bought a second pair.
I found out this past weekend after doing a long run that the second pair I bought has a different liner than the first and that it has a seam going right up the middle in the front! Let's just say I can barely walk today from the insane amount of chafing down there (and yes I used body glide before the run).
This may be a great women's clothing store, but they still have a lot to figure out with designing men's clothes!

Loved and hated (good desgin low quality)
I want to say that I really loved these. I think they are classic design with great function. However, when I got mine I tried them on loved the fit then because I am a germ-a-phobe I washed them when I took them out of the washer I surprised to see that the liner had torn from the waist line. I was bummed out and called into see about a replacement. I was told on the phone that the rip didn't make the shorts unwearable and they couldn't give me a replacement or do anything for me, which i was surprised to hear. I thought maybe if i took them into the store they would see the problem and help me out. NOPE! They actually laughed at me and said I was cheap for trying to exchange them. I was really upset when the $80 dollar shorts i ordered ripped but even more upset to be told that I should just buy more. I know mens wear isn't what you are known for now but I'd hoped you'd treat your male customers better.

I use these shorts mainly for cycling, running, and working out. The liner is perfect and the length feels right. They control sweat well when cycling. I like that they have pockets. There's some decent prints available, although I would like to see more. The only complaint is the tags that LL puts in their clothes. You have to cut them out because they are 3 inches long of the most uncomfortable fabric, and after you cut them out it's not always easy to remember what the name of the product or the size that you bought, when you want to buy more.

These shorts are first and foremost super comfortable...they are also extremely versatile from anything to yoga having the liner so NO man parts falling out scaring the class....to running, to chilling, to wearing out to dinner. :) My only request is they come in more colors than blacks and boring patterns. Whites, bright blues they have are nice...just add some color to the mix! Aloha and ommmmmmmmm

Great for 2 a days/all day use
The liner elevates these shorts past the other pace breakers, definitely worth the slight increase in cost. The liner has a snug compression and uses a technical fabric that wicks sweat and keeps you from stinking in that area. It minimizes sweat better than any other brands i've used and compliments my other workout gear with the low key colors. I like that they added the blue one and I was sure to pick it up right away because the new colors sell out quick!
This short is the one that comes in mostly solid colors and that is a-ok. More choices would be nice though. I don't like doubling up on the exact same color.
You can use these all day with your sweat drying up super quick and having no odor as well. I love these for days when I do two different workouts as I do not need to change outfits as it is extremely versatile short for running/yoga/crossfit/whatever pretty much. I've done spin in these.
They have a great stretch and don't limit mobility. There are two deep pockets as well as a zip up side pocket that actually sits on your hip sideways so a barbell won't brush against it as you do various moves such as clean/deadlift/anything else that brushes against the thigh. Extremely durable and will not fray or pill. Obviously don't go trail running and do crunches on the rocky floor and expect it to hold up but for an indoor gym environment they hold up really well. They are easy to launder lulu has specific instructions what I like to do is hand wash cold with liquid detergent and air dry. Machine wash cold/tumble dry low with like fabrics works best. I have taken out a lot of different stains be it food/oil/coffee/dirt/sweat/etc no problem.
