Rated 1 out of 5 by armyboy I own other Lululemon shorts with the regular liner, and they're great. These shorts look great; however, the luxtreme liner does not breathe. My legs feel like they're on fire while exercising, and I often break out in a heat rash where the liner is present.

I'm writing this review not because the product didn't fit or didn't work. But because literally 1 month into using these short there was a tear in the crotch and the fabric was wearing down on the inner liner. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch that i was given but i certainly didn't get my moneys worth. I'm still not sure if ill try buying them again or switch to a different brand. let me know what everyone's thoughts are.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pistol Liner way too tight
You're constantly having to hitch up these shorts because the liner in so tight. Very uncomfortable.......really sorry I "treated" myself to these shorts.

I know luxtreme got its function for the muscles but these newer ones are just too tight. I highly suggest the linerless pace breakers.

Stop changing this short. The best version was 2 years ago and every change you have made since has not made the product better. In this case, you made it much worse.
The Pace Breaker short with the traditional mesh lining was by far the best work out short on the market. This version is a painful mess. The outer short material is great as usual, but the liner is a suffocating disaster. The liner is tighter than tight compression shorts and does not breath at all. The liner constantly pulls the rest of the short down well below the waste, requiring you to constantly pull them up.
What?s worse is Lulu?s return policy which does not allow you to return products that have been worn. I think they should make an exception for this major design flaw. Now that I am stuck with them I guess I can save them in case I ever want to punish myself, or I can give them to someone that I really hate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by alra Liner pulls shorts down
Like many people said the liner is tight and pulls shorts down after a while. You have to keep tugging them up. Only have one pair of these and I went liner-less for the rest. I prefer just buying separate compression gear anyway.

I don't get why there are so many changes being made to what has to be your number one men's seller. The new liner in the luxtreme's, the silly fly flap that's open instead of stitched shut on all shorts.
The old version of these were hands down my favorite pair of shorts. Exact same as the pace breaker with a nicer liner. Just bought a new pair and I have no idea why you felt the need to make changes to such a solid product. The new liner is too long, too tight around the end of the quads which results in them it pulling down.
Please, don't "improve" for the sake of improving. Keep some consistency in the products we've come to love.

Rated 2 out of 5 by illingr Nice material except liner
Pros: The shorts have great fabric. Its pretty durable. Some of the colors are unique. The length is just great for my height.
Cons: The reason for the three stars is the liner is really really tight, it rights up your legs every few minutes. I would not buy this if you have strong legs and hips, the pace breaker short was much better for me. I am pulling up the shorts every few minutes because the liner pulls the shorts down to give you a plumbers crack.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lehter Liner too small
Same problem as previous post. Liner is a breif not boxer style and much to brief. Can not pull the waistband of the shorts to my normal position above hip bones as the liner is too restrictive

Rated 1 out of 5 by Agent007 A big mistake on these shorts...
I have at least a half dozen of the Pace Breakers and 3 or 4 pairs with the Lux liner. They have been my go to shorts for running, gym, outdoor activities.
This is a new version, they have drastically reduces the size of the liner to the point where it is restricting and much too small. Please bring back the old version or redesign these so they fit!
