Sizing is WAY off I was so excited to get these for my fiance. Living in Santa Monica, CA, we are both always in need of more beach wear. I bought these for him in his usual 36 Lulu size off the site. He has 4 pairs of Kahuna shorts in this same size that fit him wonderfully. These El Current shorts arrived, and they are SO much smaller. We compared them to his other 36 size Lulu shorts, and their about 2 inches smaller. Not sure if we got a messed up pair, but the sizing is WAY off. Poor guy can't even pull them up. They are a fantastic fabric and he was so disappointed that the fit was SO off, he has no chance of ever wearing these. Our local store will not take them back since we purchased them on the WMTM section online. Now we have a pair of board shorts my guy will never be able to wear. So disappointed. :( August 29, 2014
Great but material fading Bought this swimsuit two weeks ago. It's been worn twice to the lake. The fit and finish is excellent. Very comfortable, BUT the black fabric is faded in spots after being washed twice and hung out to dry. July 4, 2014
Sturdy These shorts are built to last. No seams to come undone. No frills and everything is light and stretchy. I actually am using these shorts for crossfit and not surfing or swimming. My only complaint is that the waistband does not breathe really at all so it gets a little hot. Other than that I love the shorts. July 2, 2014
Best Board Short Yet So happy. The bonded seams create a perfect fit. Couldn't be happier. April 20, 2014
One of the best board shorts I have worn! I have tried them all" O'Neill, Billabong, Quicksilver, Patagonia, Hurley. Hurley's are still my favorite, great material, designs, but Lulu's El Current short II is right there with it. Super lightweight, comfortable, no chaffing, fast drying, great in the ocean or on the run on the beach. I even slept in those, since they are so comfortable. April 15, 2014
Surfing just got better Sometimes two things you love come together and it doesn't work, like pizza and a Jacuzzi. On the other hand sometimes it does, the El Current II is the best for any surfing/Lulu enthusiast. What do i love about this short, EVERYTHING! April 10, 2014
A little too revealing I love the material and the light weight of these swim shorts, but there is just one thing that got in the way of me keeping them. While they are not actually tight, the material is so thin that it still shows a lot of package in the front. It would be pretty embarrassing to wear in public. Going up a size reduced the problem, but did not eliminate it. They are extremely comfortable and stretchy, and so it was very hard for me to accept that I had to give them back to Lululemon. Hopefully Lululemon will remake these with a thicker material so that they don't show so much up front. This review is regarding the black shorts, but all three colors seemed to be the same material.
