Nice but gets dirty easy
My wife and I often buy lululemon products, we really like them and we had never had any problems until I recently bought a pair of the Ascent Pants in black a few months ago, I have just wear them once and I find that every time something rubs against my pants it leaves marks. I really like these pants and how they fit but because of this problem they are always going to look dirty which is very disappointing. Is this a common issue?

Best Pant Ever
I cannot stop raving about these wonderful pants.
Aside from them being comfortable regardless of what I wear underneath, they look great inspite of what I am doing. Whether I am running for the bus, having a business meeting with a client, or having a day out with the family these pants move with me and are fit for any occasion. I have recieved many encouraging comments on my bum in these pants.
Again, Best Pant Ever!

men's are great for women 2 sizes smaller
I ordered 32 for husband who wears 32 in all pants. They feel like 30 not 32. They are too small.
Guess what - I am a girl and I am 30 in women pants, they feel great on me. My mom said - keep them . I am 5'9. Length is great. They are high and deep pockets. Graet for Seattle wet fall and all winter. Stretchy - love the fabric. We'll see if it is breathable .
So I will order 34 for my husband and keep 32 for me. Wow! Now I will always check men's section. And I can keep his 32 shorts that are too small for him.
But men, attention, order size bigger at least. better go and try lulu men sizing - much smaller. Then buy online.

Great pants - Lululemon always out of size 36
Love the pants, but my biggest issue is that Lululemon is always out of stock of size 36 regular in the most desirable colours. This isn't only for the Ascent pant, but shorts as well.
Hopefully someone can better manage your inventory soon...so I can buy more.

Good, but could be improved
I love the idea of this pant. A comfortable athletic pant, that works in the office and can be commuted in. I think this market is being underserved, and there is a huge opportunity here. In fact, if Lulu fixed a few things, they could have a whole new category of clothes to sell. They could even go head to head with the professional executive pant category (like the wool pants Joseph a Bank sells) Here are a few recommendations to make it perfect.
Get rid of the seams on the back of the legs. They don't do anything, and normal dress pants don't have this.
Make the material the same as the ABC pant. The Ascent material is a bit too thick. The ABC pant material is thinner and closer to the thickness of a wool dress pant.
Git rid of the pinstripes. 99% of men don't wear pin stripes in the office. Just offer normal dress pant colors: navy, black, grey, beige.
This might be controversial, but I'd say get rid of the Lululemon logo on the back of the left leg. Professional men in the office would rather keep the fact that they're wearing an athletic technical pant in stealth.
The athletic cut and fit is spot on. Don't change that! Most men don't want to wear skinny pants in the office, so offering the athletic fit, increases the size of your potential market.

These are really great pants. Stretchy, normal fit, zippered pocket, durable. I'm normally a 33 waist and bought these in 34, all is good. I can wear these in almost any situation from athletic to dressy.
I have 2 comments. One-the tan color has a slight pinstripe in it, not a fan. Two-I don't like the hem behind the knee. While not a deal breaker it reminds me of pants with zip off lower legs.
Today I bought a pair of the ABC pants at LLL-Truckee for an upcoming trip to Europe AND to get a darker color. They're definitely more trim fitting but (at least) have a zippered rear pocket like the Ascent. While this is not a review of the ABC, the material is thinner and the Soot color is solid and looks like it could get dirty without looking dirty.

Just received the pants today and tried it on there was a tear by the right pocket, the stitching was opening!!
The tag is still on the pants!

What a disappointment!
I bought the accent pants for work and I loved them. I wore them for only 3 months when the seam on the side of both pockets became unraveled. It is extremely disappointing because these pants are so expensive and my lower quality dress pants have lasted for years. I can't wear them anymore because there are now 2 huge holes on both hips. The quality of this product is extremely disappointing! I also have another pair of the luon pants that are tight around the calf ( I dont believe they sell this style anymore) that the seam is also starting to rip on the inner thigh. I tried to bring them back to the store for an exchange however I was turned away because they were washed and worn already. Overall, bad quality product.

Perfect Work and Play pant!
an excellent pant for work, professional looks, comfortable form.
The zipped "secret pocket" is perfect for the phone or coins.
Loose enough for crouching down and durable enough to survive the wear and tear of work.
My only complaint is the seam at the front pockets are not reinforced and my first pair failed on both sides, but lulu made it right and replaced the pant without blinking an eye. Hopefully they learn from this and future versions are fixed.

pants and polo shirt got my job in rio!
So, I needed minimal clothes to get a job teaching in rio. The polo shirt and the ascent pants are perfect, along with the pace breaker shorts.
everywhere i went for 5 weeks, to work out, etc, i showered first in the shorts and the shirt. i would wring out the shirts and the shorts. finish cleaning up, and put the cloths back on. clube de flamengo, the beach, whereever. i would then go to job interviews at a university with professors, priests, even to lunch with people from international banks and my consulate. the crossover polo was good enough for these business meetings, and I got the job. i looked good enough to teach at the college and graduate level, and i could literally run a triathlon from start to finish in the shirt.
as for the ascent pants, thrown them in a day bag (inside a plastic shopping bag), and change over in a bathroom next to the head of the social science department, or at the bathroom in the priests residence before dinner with a dozen jesuit priests.
plus, all the stuff looks good enough to fit right in at a leblon night club. maybe find a laundry once a week, and buy some deodorant for the day bag, but that is it. these are the best travel cloths ever! recommended to me by a Navy SEAL buddy, who should know.
the staff at the la jolla store are awesome. they changed out some of the clothes if there was ever an issue, and they recommended the perfect shirt (cross over polo). in the future, i will be ditching all other cloths, and packing two crossover polos, and that is it! less is more!
