Wet Coast Jacket
I really wanted to like this jacket. The jacket itself looks good, the material feels great, and there are a lot of nice little details in this jacket. What made me return it was the extremely restrictive sleeves. The mobility of the sleeves are so compromised that the jacket felt uncomfortable even when just walking, let alone trying to reach for something. I didn't want to go a size up because the problem has to do with the design of the garment itself and not so much the sizing (all my other LLL stuff fits great in size M). I hope this issue is limited to only this jacket because I really want a nice LLL fall/winter jacket (even if I have to pay a bit more).

Not exactly as advertised :(
I bought this jacket sometime mid-October 2011 after a trip to London that left me very wet in the rain with my current jacket (Lululemon Go Anywhere Jacket).
Found this new Wet Coast Jacket in the store in Calgary and was recommended by the sales associate that it was completely waterproof. Sales associate even stated that he took it in the shower with him and water just beaded off the jacket.
The jacket itself is described as "the outerlayer is waterproof and finished with DWR (aka durable water repellent)", the keyword here being waterproof (not water resistent).
Well after a recent rain in Calgary (April 12, 2012) - and being in outside for probably a few minutes - I was soaked while wearing the jacket. Paper content in the pockets (zippered) were damp as well. Not impressed with this jacket at all since it doesn't keep you dry as advertised.
I've only washed this jacket once with no detergent, as I do with all my waterproof gear. The jacket was then hung dry as well. This cleaning method should not have destroyed the waterproofing of the fabric nor the DWR coating either.
Sad that this is such a nice looking jacket, but I won't be wearing it anymore in rainy weather.
Would not recommend this to anyone venturing out in the rain, or light snow.

Since I own the soft-shell jacket, I was very excited when this jacket came out as I always wished the soft shell was more waterproof. Fit and finish is great, but an otherwise great jacket is ruined due to the lack of a 2-way zipper on the bottom. It is very tight around the hips for someone with an athletic/muscular build, so I can't sit in it without opening the jacket. Lulu - If a jacket goes past the hips, PLEASE put a 2 way zipper on it. Not the first men's product to have this problem.....

Great looking and comfortable fall jacket!
Great fitting jacket that is very versatile and stylish. Looks great during all occasions.
Great features such as chest venting, and a redesigned zipper technology. Ensure to go a size up when purchasing, because that enables you to wear a sweater or hoodie underneath in the colder months.
Going to love having this for our local running club throughout the fall months.
Thank you Lululemon! impressed as always

Almost perfect fall jacket
Every year I go back and forth on if I want lululemon's winter jacket; every year I decide at the end of the year, yes, I do want one, and can't find my size. This year I went for it, but found a fall jacket instead. Fell in love with it and went all over the GTA to find my size.
The jacket has a nice, slim profile, which is great for me, being a bigger guy. Nice length, good feel to the fabric. A tad warm for those days where it's 15, but that's probably not a bad thing. It's a bit too heavy to be a rain jacket exclusively, but not too bad.
Lots of good little touches; the hood initially seemed to fall too far forward onto my face, until I realized it was made so that the tip could be folded back. Same for the sleeves.
My one complaint is the wrist straps. I'm a shorter guy, and the sleeves are long on me, so I have to use the velcro wrist straps to ensure they don't slip down. The velcro is a good touch, but this would be GREATLY improved by some loops in which to tuck the excess velcro strap. It seems like such a simple addition that I'm not sure why no one thought of it, or why they'd choose not to do it.
Otherwise, great jacket! Already got compliments on it!
