Slippery!
Hmm. I wanted to like this bag, I really did. It's the right size for me (I actually have the older version without the external bottle pouch). But this is the same fabric and, more importantly, the same strap material as mine.
The strap looks good but it's sooo slippery. My bag just slips right off my shoulder. The only way I can carry it is cross body, but the strap is only just long enough for this.
That said, I can fit a small hand towel, water bottle and The Mat inside the bag. It's a great size and looks good. But it's just not so great for carrying...

just what i was looking for
I'm the kind of person who walks to and from yoga without changing into/out of my workout gear (maybe I'm a slob but I only live 10 minutes from the studio and I shower as soon as I get home, I swear). that being said, I wanted a sleek, lightweight bag that would hold all my essentials - mat, studio card, iphone, house keys, water bottle - without any other bulky compartments for a change of clothes or shoes, like some other lulu bags.
I jumped on this bag as soon as it was released. the previous namaste yoga tote was nice, from what I saw in stores and on other people, but it lacked that water bottle drawstring pocket. with this one, everything has its own neat little slot, so I can just sling the bag over my shoulder and stroll home hands-free without awkwardly lugging my mat in a non-mat-shaped bag.
I see only two areas for improvement: 1. perhaps make the drawstring pouch a bit roomier for those who do hot yoga and need to bring a towel (although you might be able to squeeze it in the main bag compartment if you have a very thin towel and a very thin mat). 2. move the card/phone pocket so that you can unzip and access it without taking the bag off your back. kind of annoying to have to completely lift the bag off and lay it on the ground if my phone rings or when I need to get my house keys out.
otherwise, this bag is perfect for those who don't want or need to transport their whole lives in a bag!

My life in a bag
I was holding out for a pink Namaste Tote with the external pocket and it finally came out!
I used this last night for my evening of Spin and Yoga - I managed to get my spin shoes and water bottle in the external mesh pocket, while my iPod, Clif Bar and key tags were easily accessible in the internal pocket.
