Not bad I use this strap to hold my Lululemon mat (the regular one, not the thin or the extra big one). I like the sturdy material this is made out of and the design. The only thing I don't like about it is that it can loosen up when you place your mat upright and then your mat will begin to unravel. Otherwise, this is a great strap to use when you are on the go and don't need a yoga bag. I can see why people complained about this strap not holding the mat throughly as I had given an older version--I believe the color was Raspberry Glo, to my best friend and it didn't have the same design as the current strap. The current design seems to hold it better than the older design (the older design lacked a "holding/locking mechanism", sorry not sure what to refer it as), but it's still not "perfect." There needs to be something that would hold the mat better without destroying the minimalist design. I personally don't like velcro (because of the sound) so I hope Lululemon would shy away from that when considering a better way to keep the mat from unraveling. May 21, 2015
It's a bit pricey, but so far I have had no issues with this mat strap. I walk to my yoga class with it and have had no issues with my mat slipping or falling out of it. May 19, 2015
Just Okay I have this strap and it works okay for the Align Mat (discontinued) but I wouldn't say it works well with the UnMat because of how slim it rolls up. With a large mat if works very good with no complaints. I would have concerns if I were to bike with just the UnMat and having it slip out. April 15, 2015
Nice I got the black as a gift. So far, no slipping. I have the mat in black and this strap secures it well. I wouldn't have bought this for myself since it was a little too pricey for a mat strap. March 15, 2015
Great!! People need to stop giving this strap such a bad rap. I own "the mat", and I purchased the strap about 2-3 weeks ago, I attend class around 4 times per week and have had 0 issues with my mat falling out or slipping, if you are having troubles with this strap bring it in to the store, and ask an educator to show you how to use it. no issues here I don't understand what all the fuss is about. I was looking for a strap to hold The Mat because it was squishing my gym bag. I was scared to purchase this product because of all the negative reviews but it works! An educator showed me how to put it on and tighten it. I carried it with me across the mall and had no issues of slipping or falling out. If it does fail, you can always bring it back to a store for store credit. March 2, 2015
Very disappointed with the Loop it up mat strap I got into Yoga the beginning of the year, never really knew what it was about. After practicing I decided I needed a mat, I did my research and purchased "The Mat'' ...best purchase EVER. I was even more excited to find some kind of strap to keep it in place while I lug it around. I made weekly visits to my local Lululemon store waiting for them to get a strap in. I went in monday for my R&D fitting and there it was, THE STRAP! I was very excited to take this puppy home and have the winning mat, strap combo only to find out I'm just as frustrated as I was when I didn't have a strap. The strap doesn't keep it's tight hold, no matter how tight you make it...it will shift and loosen it's grip. I'm pretty disappointed, I wish this velcro I keep reading about was around to purchase...I practice 5-6 days a week, I lug my mat throughout my house as well, as I practice there before going to bed for my back exercises and it just doesn't make it easier having to fix and tighten the matt on the strap the entire time. Awful This is by far the worst product of Lululemon's that I've ever used. I've spent hundreds of dollars in this store on a pair of pants and a top and at $18 this is by far the biggest rip-off for sale. It does NOT hold your mat at all. Mine falls out 3-4 times while carrying it. I went into the store and asked if I was missing a trick or something, and they said no, that the strap used to be made of a better gripping material and it wasn't even being stocked anymore, so they thought a replacement might be on the way. In my opinion, Lululemon should refund anyone that purchased this or replace it with a functioning strap. February 17, 2015
Great for walking to class This strap works really well for me. Some people say that it slips, but I haven't found that. It's a really easy way to carry my mat around with me from my car to class or from my apartment to class. January 25, 2015
Terrible upgrade I bought this for my sister after having a previous version for myself. I thought it would be a great way for her to carry her mat around the city to and from work to studio to home. I was wrong. The loop doesn't hole the tension and ends up unravelling the mat whenever you put it down (extremely inconvenient on the subway). I had the No Brainer Strap that had two velcro ends and holds my mat in place both in motion and at rest. It was far superior and I don't know why they replaced it. January 25, 2015
