Rated 5 out of 5 by DJ777 Super comfy
An awesome shirt for working out or just chilling out. The material is stretchy and super comfy. I've just bought a second one in a different colour.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ARC721 Inconsistent sizes
I have 8 of these 5-Year Basic V shirts that I have picked up gradually over the last couple of years. The fabric is great for the gym and for wearing casually around town.
The shirts generally tend to hold up well over time, though quality and size are really inconsistent depending on the color and pattern. This review is specifically for 2 of the shirts:
The solid/plain-colored shirts tend to be smaller than the heathered/speckled or striped shirts. I purchased 2 solid colored shirts (white, pink) that, after 1 wash, don't fit anymore (pre-shrunk?). They also don't seem as durable: the neck is floppy/rippled and the stitching looks weak in these 2 shirts.
This is a huge disappointment for 2 x $54 shirts. I expect more consistent size and quality at that price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gymbarbie My BF has 10 of these!!!
My BF is obsessed with these 5 year basic v necks and I'm obsessed with how casual yet pulled together these make him look. I'm not sure why so many people have issues with the fit/depth of the v/ and fabric. He practically cycles through the 10 or so in various colors that he has and never has issues. Granted I do take the time to wash them on a cooler cycle and hang dry, but thats pretty standard practice for all of our lulu clothing. He is 6' and 175lbs and is a weight lifter and he wears a L (for sizing).
Overall I recommend this shirt through and through...especially when you can get them at the we made too much price! Please keep making these in different colors!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MochiMochi V-Neck Way Too Deep - Too Revealing and Floppy
The V-neck on the regular cut of this shirt is way too deep. I feel completely uncomfortable wearing this cut. Additionally the necks on these shirts stretch out over time which makes the problem even worse.
HOWEVER ! Lululemon offers another version with a shorter narrower V-neck, but it's hard to tell the better option exists because of bad product naming and a lack of explanation on the product page. The "5 Year Basic High V" is a much better cut. But you'd never know that it was available or what the difference is. Lululemon makes it so hard to tell. The compare feature does not work, and the product description does not help. The photos of the products are shot at different angles so you can't immediately see any difference.
The shorter, narrower, "higher" V-neck is a better option for all occasions. The Deep V is completely inappropriate for the office or the supermarket... or almost anywhere outside of the beach. I wish Lululemon would do a better job of clearly labeling and describing their products.
Moreover I wish Lulu would offer the higher cut V-neck on more of their shirts. A few years back they got the cut right. I hope the Higher Cut will be available as a standard offering.
The deeper cut - should be labeled DEEP-VEE. Or just speed forward a few months and label it DEEP-FLOPPY-VEE:P

Rated 5 out of 5 by JaceL Personally haven't had any issues
This is still my favorite shirt, I'm not quite sure why so many people are having issues but i wear and wash my shirts about once a week and have no issues with any holes or stretching. These are extremely soft and literally the only t shirt I own. Keep me coming lulu!

Rated 2 out of 5 by marksherm 5 year basic v tee
I purchased the all white v tee a little over a month ago. I have only wore it about 5 times and a hole developed in the back of the shirt. The thread around the collar is starting to come undone as well and I have washed it with only white lulu clothing as you should wash it. I have about 20 shorts, shirts, jackets and have purchased many gifts as well from Lulu. I love your product and I always tell people about it, but this shirt has disappointed me. I want to take it back but I'm not sure how to proceed as it is past the 15 days to return it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by supjo Quality is questionable.
I bought two of these shirts a few months back (one black, one white) and they seemed promising. Fit awesome at the beginning and felt amazing. I was just getting into Lulu, so I followed the washing instructions to a T to ensure longevity.
However, after only 2 months, the collars are getting gross. The threads are ripping after just being thrown in the washing machine and it's gotten to the point where when I wear them - it looks like a folded, wrinkly mess. It doesn't lie flush with the skin as it did when I originally purchased.
I am quite disappointed as these are expensive investments just for a few simple Vs. These are the only products I've purchased where quality has been a serious issue. It's strange though because the ones my dad/friends purchased a year prior did not have these same quality issues. Hmmm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by wojo should have listened to the bad reviews
Despite reading the numerous bad reviews, I went ahead and got 4 of these shirts. First time lulu purchase. The bad reviews are right. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Collars turn into a loose and floppy mess despite washing on gentle cycle and hanging to dry. Believe the other reviewers called this bacon or wavy floppy mess. They were right.
Disappointing because they fit like a glove and are great looking shirts. Just don't wash them, ever. Or else...
$54 bucks a pop, such a waste.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 5yeartguy Loved these, but the quality...
Let's start...I own two 5 year T's that have lasted nearly 4 years now. They look great with no holes or anything. Despite this, my newest 5 year Tee already has a hole around the belly button area. I noticed that other people are having this issue too. What can I do about it? I expect more from Lulu and most of my wardrobe consists of your clothes. I want to see a change in quality as I have a T shirt from H&M that has lasted twice as long with no wear, and it cost be $7.
