Quality compression shorts These shorts offer superb performance for running, the gym, yoga, or any form of exercise. The seams are smooth and do not chafe (hence the "chafe-resistant flat seems"), contrary to some reviews, and the luxtreme, Silverescent fabric is what sets these apart from other compression shorts. I've had Under Armor shorts before, but the nylon Luxtreme fabric and durable construction of these Lulu's outweigh their cheaper polyester counterpart. Make sure to consider the 9" length if you have shorter legs. My final thought: I will be purchasing more. September 25, 2014
My Favorite I was only able to buy one pair before I was told these are not going to be manufactured anymore. These are the only pair that doesn't ride up on your thighs whenever you're you wear them. PLEASE PLEASE bring them back!!! September 10, 2014
Who designed these!? Great if you have a disproportionate body/ridiculous long legs. The inseam is crazy long. If I slide the thigh up they bunch and/or slide back down with movement. Based on their sizing charts and help from the educators.. the boxers don't fit right. Or they dont need to be that long. ALSO if a guy designed these.. there would be a very key feature. Just like every other guy's boxers, these don't have a fly! How am I supposed to urinate? July 15, 2014
Don't Waste Your Money My biggest problem with these boxers is the seam that they have going straight down the middle of your dick. Oh, and the other seam that intersect with that seam right on your balls. The seam is not taped, its is just a rough seam on the inside guaranteed to cause friction and rub you in a way that will be uncomfortable. For a really expensive set of compression shorts they did a poor job with the design. It is too bad, I had high hopes. Now I am just out the $38. June 30, 2014
Inconsistent fit I bought myself a $38 pair of boxers to try seeing all my shorts from Lulu are super comfy...they fit great and like them very much so I asked for a pair of blue ones for my birthday from the wifey. But these ones don't fit the same at all...too tight around the thighs and too loose around the waist band and as soon as I start walking down they come. First pair I love wearing....the second pair I can't stand them...final sale...darn!!! May 26, 2014
Everything is good except the "flat" seams... My first purchase from Lululemon are these boxers. After seeing many friends, people with the brand I thought I'd give it a shot. They feel wonderful I've never had something so comfortable, the fabric is very nice. Sadly I'm experiencing the same thing many others are seeing... The seams outer edge is starting to loosen and threads are now hanging off. This happened to me the same day I bought them, I got home wore them around the house, then slept in them the same night. The following morning the outer seam on the inner thigh already started to rip and loosen off. This is after at most 10 hours of wear time, not even running or wearing them for a full day. I am quite disappointed since I expected a premium product at this high price point. I just can't get past the actual product... I didn't mind paying a premium since I thought the product would be durable as well. Now because of Lululemon's return policy, I can't do anything about them. I've given the brand a shot, and a bad first experience is kind of turning me away... May 12, 2014
BEST Boxers EVER!!! These are the BEST Boxers EVER, period. I like a bit of a longer leg on my boxer briefs to wear under shorts. These are perfect length and they have just the right amount of compression. I am an UltraRunner and have worn these for many 50K, 50 Mile, and even 100 mile races. These boxers are the BEST and I have never had any issues. They vent incredibly and hold everything in place just right. I am 5'-11" and 155 lbs, athletic build with muscular thighs and they fit perfect. The fabric is awesome and stretches just right. If you like Nike Pro Combat or Under Armour you will use them to wax your car now and buy a whole fleet of these babies. Trust me, you will love them. May 5, 2014
Thigh Stitching Way Too Tight and Uncomfortable My wife bought me the Pace Breaker shorts and Metal Vent Tech Long sleeve shirt last fall, and I absolutely loved them. They are by far my favorite clothes that I wear to crossfit. This weekend, after being encouraged by the sales rep to try the Core Shorts, and since they do not have a liner like my pace breaker shorts, I decided to buy a couple pairs of the Format Boxer. Since you can't try on the underwear in the store, I just got the size recommended to me by the sales rep (medium). The sales reps didn't alert me about the underwear return policy. I bought from the Lululemon store in Georgetown (Washington, DC). When I got home I tried on the Format Boxer with my Core Shorts, and found that the seams that go across each thigh are way too tight and have no flexibility. Although it is less of a deal breaker, I would also point out that there is little support for your junk. I am 6'0", 185 lbs and comfortably wear a medium in the lululemon shorts and shirts. My thighs are muscular, but probably only slightly above average in size. Now I'm stuck with two pairs of $38 underwear that I can't wear. I think it is an extremely bad business practice to not allow returns on select merchandise without notice. Although the policy is noted on the bottom of the receipt that you receive AFTER the purchase, there should be notice BEFORE purchase. Had I known about the policy BEFORE my purchase, I would have only bought one pair. I would still be annoyed that I can't return something that I wasn't allowed to try on, but at least I would have known I was taking the risk. How can lulu make such great shorts with comfortable liners and fall so miserably short on the compression shorts/boxers? April 7, 2014
unreal boxers This is the most comfortable thing I've worn... I've never had a pair of boxers that didn't always need adjusting when sitting down (and I've tried other 'premium brands') but I was amazed that no adjusting was required for these. They aren't cheap but it's definitely worth it to pay a bit more for some solid pairs that will last imo. Will definitely be getting more. March 29, 2014
