When we practice asana in yoga boardshorts, we're confident we'll keep our surfing form until next season's waves return.

why we made this

We made these yoga shorts with the sun and the surf in mind. We took inspiration from our favourite surf shorts (like lightweight fabric and venting) and redesigned them for the studio by cutting them slim so we can see our feet and focus on our alignment. When we close our eyes and Hang Ten off our yoga mat, it's summer all over again.

Most comfortable shorts. EVER These shorts seriously are the most comfortable and lightweight shorts I have ever worn. At 6'2", they stop right at the knee. The 4-way stretch makes you feel like you aren't wearing anything at all because they move with you no matter what direction you move in, which is especially nice in yoga or while running because I don't have to constantly pull them up. It's nice to be able to do yoga without mooning the person behind me! They do run small. I wear a 33 in jeans and got these in a 36. I had to remind myself that size is only a number and to just get what fits. The 36 are a great fit for me :-( And they only have 1 pocket, which is really their only downfall :-P May 9, 2013
Few inches short of being great I'm 6'5 so definitely a little biased here but these shorts are 1-2 inches away from being great. Most comfortable 4 way stretch board short material I have ever worn. I bought them anyways because of the feel and I dont really care how I look during yoga but functionally the (length or lack of of it) is starting to be a problem. Rides up a lot during some poses and doesn't come back down due to how tight they fit. Warrior 2 for example leave you with shorts that ride up to your groin and you are trying to pull them back down when you flow to down dog. You guys make tall sizes in pants, why not in some of the shorts as well? You can hem longer stuff you cant do anything except not sell shorter stuff. Also I am about a 34 inch waist in jeans and got a 36 in this and it fit perfect for anyone ordering online I would go a size up. December 11, 2012
bodacious boardies These are awesome. Bought 2 for yoga, but I could wear these to the beach too! They are so light weight that they dry super quick. I just noticed the ventilation holes down in the crotch area, haha! There tiny little holes, nothing conspicuous. Fabric is much better than those other boardshorts that are super 4 way stretch and very light. seems like those all fall apart in about a month. Cheap ba_tards! Almost there... These shorts are almost perfect. Their size is pretty true to my sizes at Lulu. Color is great and it is such a comfortable pair of shorts! They breathe well, they are light, they are stretchy without being tight, and they move beautifully with you through your asanas. The waistband is terrific, and as others have mentioned, the new closure is right on the money! It doesn't bunch and it keeps the shorts in place. What would make these shorts perfect? Lining and a size 30. ;) Next one, maybe? :)e- November 5, 2012
Nice evolution of the waistband I'm not certain why LLL has been giving us those horrid laceup fronts on shorts and pants for the past year and a half. If you're like me and hate them too, then you might want to pay attention to these shorts. They close with a sleek velcro flap instead and it's pretty nice. I like these shorts and I would have bought a few pairs, but they're about 1 inch shorter than this years Response Shorts and Core shorts and I just wasn't comfortable with the length. These fit the same in the waist as LLL's 2012 spring and summer lines: I wear a 34 in jeans and need a 36 in Lulu. October 31, 2012
Studio Shorts I wear these shorts for crossfitting, they are extremely strechy and comfortable and seem to be durable enough to last through getting beat on with weights and barbells. Would recommend, but you might want to get a size up from what your other shorts are. October 29, 2012
