Bad value The pilling is outrageous for a $78 running short! If you decide to own these shorts don't let them touch anything else but your body or else you'll instantly notice the pilling! May 12, 2013
Disappointed Liked the shorts for 2 months of running, crossfit, and yoga. Then somehow caught the fabric on a piece of wire or staple which ripped a small hole and pulled out a large strand of the fabric. Local store said it was my fault (maybe their right) but would not help me to get it repaired or accept an exchange. I guess $72 gets you a pair of shorts you can wear in a plastic bubble. These shorts are not made to take any abuse in my opinion. Very disappointed. May 6, 2013
Extremely light shorts with no chafing issues when running or working out. They feel like you aren't wearing anything at all. April 16, 2013
Great addition for a hot yoga class I picked up a pair of these shorts yesterday before a hot yoga class in Boulder, Colorado (mainly due to the fact that I forgot my shorts), but immediately I was sold on them. The SWIFT material is uber-light and didn't stick to my legs even when the sweat really starting pouring off of me. I'd highly recommend these shorts. March 7, 2013
Light as air...when dry Just as the name of this short describes, the fabric is light as air. The liner is great and provides support, however was overall disappointed. I thought this would be the answer to many of my running woes, especially long runs. I thought the short would do a much better job at wicking away moisture and staying light as a feather. While wearing these for long runs and marathon training, my sweat actually soaks into the fabric and sticks to my legs. Its such a nuisance, I hardly wear them anymore, other than maybe to the gym. Not a home run, lulu. February 1, 2013
pilling occurs These are not made or designed for high intensity high rep activities. Do not use them for spin classes. Do not use them for jogging. The constant friction on your thighs will wear down the hems in a month of moderate usage. Pilling will form as well. Its too bad, because these shorts fits really well and are really light as air. Maybe the materials or lack of it is why its light? who knows. January 17, 2013
New Favorite Pair of Shorts User: 5' 8" 175 lb., 30" inseam Athletic/Muscular Build Used for: Running, Weight/Resistance Training Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. If you didn't want a lightweight short that doesn't fall past your knees, why did you buy these in the first place? As far as pilling, as long as you follow the instructions for the lululemon material (swift) you are washing, they should be fine. If you still have issues, take them back. As a side note, I think lululemon should add the height, waist, inseam, and chest measurements for their models so that people who don't have a store location near them can avoid purchasing the wrong size/item. Bad pilling I'm glad I found this review page as the store was having a hard time believing me about the pilling. The second pair I washed only with one other item - a pair of Lululemon pants that feel like the same material. Anyway they pilled. I actually had the same problem with Nike Livestrong shorts. I love Lululemon but the designers need to be more 'onto it' when selecting low maintenance hardwearing fabrics - given the price! November 27, 2012
Downward Spiraling Quality Trend Aside from the other recent reviews, the revised light as air short with the side ventilation strips on both sides are an interesting addition. The new swift fabric feels lighter and is definitely thinner (like paper). That's fine. The brief liner is a bit too snug. More focus needs to be put on the legs of the shorts. The cut of fabric is somewhat lackluster. Pockets are average and not too deep which is better than other lulu shorts I have tried on. One thing I noticed in both my burlaptexture color shorts is that the drawcord is no longer stretchy. And LONG GONE are the days where the tips are high quality metal instead of the grippy plastic today. The reflective logo is as good as negligible since it basically blends right into the fabric color and can barely see it when it does reflect off of light. Designers, please put more emphasis in choosing quality materials rather than focusing solely on revising features/colors! November 6, 2012
Quality Control Issues... I purchased this for my trip to Wanderlust. I originally went in for Run Response and ended up picking these up. (I have about 15 pairs of Run Response w/o issues!) Sadly Run Response has not had any real fun colors or prints lately, so i snagged these (with a slightly higher price point) and was stoked to have the plaid shorts for my trip. I have sadly washed them less than a hand full of times and they are pilling all over. I thought it was my leg hair that I could feel through the fabric but after I took them off I noticed it all over them. I have LITERALLY thousands of dollars of Lulu product and follow the care instructions meticulously... sadly I would not recommend these nor purchase another pair due the pour quality of the fabric. @ $72 for a pair of shorts I would expect more from Lulu :( October 23, 2012
