The greatest golfing shorts ever.
By far the best shorts for golf. Easy movement, lightweight, and clean lines. Not to mention the most comfortable pair of shorts you'll own. Looking forward to seeing the pants version someday!

Great Shorts; Try on First
This is a great pair of shorts as a go between for khaki's and athletic shorts. The fabric is a bit "dressier" than standard athletic shorts, but is still nice enough to wear with a polo. These will make an ideal golf short.
My only word of caution is to try them on before you buy them. I purchased a 34 in black (a size larger than normal) and they fit nicely. I liked them so much I was going to buy a pair in the Slate and the 34 was too snug. As the other comments have suggested the sizing of the pants is a bit inconsistent.

Finally a longer pair of shorts my Hubby likes
My Husband is finally happy with a pair of Lulu shorts. He is fairly tall and in amazing shape and his biggest complaint is the shorts being too short. He loves these shorts and not only wears them to the gym but out and about as well. He pairs it with the 5 year V-Neck tee and he looks very stylish and and cute.
Thank you Lululemon keep the longer shorts in production.

Too Short!!
You need to have some longer shorts in your lineup!! I bought 2 pairs of the Trainer shorts last year (they had a 12.5 inch inseam) and I they are the only shorts I can wear now. I love all the colours you've added, but I'm 6'6 so the length isn't going to cut it.
Why not add a tall size like you do with your pants?

There's two different fabrics in black this year
Like all the colors this year, these shorts come in the Ascent fabric. It's an intriguing fabric for sure.... it's light feeling, but also durable.
But check this: if you're not feeling Ascent and if you like black, you're in luck! Lulu also makes them in a nice thick cotton! I liked these so much I bought two pairs this week :)

Lulu redesigns these every year. Sometimes they're a hit and sometimes not, but these Spring 2012 are an absolute hit in my eyes. And you definitely have to size up. Since last fall Lulu changed the waist measurement of the mens shorts. I wore a 34 last spring and this year it's a 36. And no, I didn't gain any weight ;)

Amazing shorts
Bought these for the boyfriend, got them on final sale and what a steal! The fabric is amazing, he put them on the moment he saw them and said they were awesome.
Wish there were more 36s available on final sale because I'd buy them all for him, they look amazing. He's very slender and tall (6'5"), and contrary to other reviews, the legs are not too big (and trust me, he has skinny legs); nor are they too short. They fall just above his knee. Were a little tight in the waist, but knew that would probably be the case going into it as lulu men's runs smaller.
Oh, the cell phone "pocket" is not going to fit any cell phone I've seen recently. There's a neat back leg pocket on the right side though that might.
Only problem? There's a snag on the fabric (upon arrival, just got them delivered tonight) and they're final sale so not sure what we can do about that anyway.
P.S. lulu - make a women's golf short in this material, I would swoon!

Great in theory, but they run SMALL!
Love this short itself, but I bought a pair of these on final sale a couple weeks ago in a 34 and I could barely button them. I bought a 34 realizing that lululemon items run small and they were still unwearably, button-popping small. Shame I just wasted all that money since I can't return them.

Awful.
Was looking forward to receiving these in the mail as I'm preparing for a trip to the beach. Got both the Black and the Gingham pattern. First complaint is about consistency. Sizing is off between the two, even though they are the same design in the same size. The Gingham fit ok. Not great, just ok. A bit on the tight side at the waist. Legs are not too bad. However, the black are awful shorts. Plain and simple. Way too tight at the waist. Way too loose at the leg. Not in any way a modern design. I'm aware that Lululemon men's clothing is for athletic builds (which I have), but you would need some serious legs to fill these shorts. I am not sure if I received a defective pair or not, but, these look like a billowing skirt. They do not resemble the Kahuna Shorts I have purchased in the past. For $78, I expect a much better product. And it starts with consistent sizing (which is not really happening with Lulu men's stuff right now). I'm so disappointed in these, that I wish I could leave no stars. In fact, I'm not happy with the overall product line for men at this time (still waiting for an awesome hoodie! It's been a while!). The quality has dipped, and the sizing is no longer consistent. All of a sudden, everything fits tight (except for these shorts in the legs). And I've been losing weight!!! C'mon!!! I'm beginning to think that we should wear other brands while getting fit, and buy Lulu once we've attained the perfect body. Oh well. Off to other stores to hopefully find some nice shorts for my trip.

My new go-to short.
This short is my new go-to short. The pockets are just the perfect depth to keep my keys and wallet in place. The material flexes enough to do deep squats in a CrossFit work out and dries extremely fast. The belt-loops are a big plus for me. This short functions great in and out of the gym. If you have a 'muscular posterior' then these shorts are a must have.

Caribean Travel Wear
Shorts are great for Caribbean travel. Perfect fit size 32. Very light weight when flying carry on only. Great for power walking up mountains, on beach or just exploring towns of Mexico, Costa Rica and El Salvadore. Have a grey pair. Not a black or plaid person. Would buy a couple more pairs if blue and beige were available.
