For my guy
I bought these for my husband who does weight training, running and pilates. They were a bit "constricting" on the thighs as compared to other Lulu shorts. We exchanged them for the light as air and they worked well. He normally wears a medium in shorts but in Lulu he has to wear Large because of the size of his thighs.

Great shorts
I received these shorts for my birthday. My wife and I both Crossfit and she has a large collection of LLL clothing. I have a pair of the older Commute shorts that I LOVE, but are not workout shorts. These are perfect for me. Paired with the LLL boxer briefs these move and stretch in every way I need. I don't have to worry about pulling them up before a lift or adjusting them after running.
The zippered pocket is great too for keeping my keys where I put them during runs.

As light as long shorts can get
I like these shorts for the gym and as casual shorts. They are a bit long for running but they're perfect for hot weather climates because of how light they are. Only gripe is the pockets, maybe buttons would have been better than a zipper. Don't let the weird pockets deter you from getting the shorts though.
Hopefully they make a more dressy khaki pair of shorts that are light like these

Nice casual shorts
I personally find these shorts a little too long for running (sits mid-knee) but I have other lulu run shorts for that. However, I bought the Impact short for lounging and as a casual short. The lightweight stretch fabric makes it very comfortable and allows for ease of movement for any activity. The simple styling is great. And the zippered pockets are functional. I like the option to zip it up, which gives the short a very clean look.

Zippered front pockets?
I tried these on at Lululemon in Greenwich this past weekend. I can't understand the need for zippered front pockets on a pair of shorts. Whenever you reach into your pocket, you will be scraping your hand on the zippers which will get irritating really quickly. If you keep the zipper closed all the time, then there is no point in having pockets to begin with. And I doubt many people are working out and worried about having things fall out of their pockets (who works out with such things in their pockets anyway?) The small pocket on the rear/side of the core shorts that can be used to tuck in a car key or some money is all you need.
I personally clip and ipod nano to one front pocket, and keep a paper with my workout plan in the other, so dealing with zippers on these pockets was a 100% deal breaker for me.
Other than that, the shorts seemed fine, jury is still out on the material that borders the pockets...but I guess you need it to help these stand out from the rest of the short you make.
